just bought this one, like you mentioned it's actually pretty nice heat wise, just a bit loud (as expected of blower style). Also its boost clock reaches 1905 MHZ which equals it to the more expensive RTX 2070S super like the ROG STRIX OC

I have a RTX 2070 Super from HP , PC is called "OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop PC - 875-0255ng" - Can you tell me how I can flash another VBIOS? I dont know if it has the reference PCB, but it looks exactly like the one in your video, so I think it probably has.

I just got a parted out HP business workstation but just the motherboard & CPU.
    ASUS X99-E WS/USB 3.1
Is there any known difference from the boards HP builders get from ASUS vs my retail box? I mean from what I can tell, everything looks the same. Everything I have from my boxed kit works. Primarily the Thunderbolt card, & XFi audio.

Hi, I know it's a bit off topic but this information seems impossible to retrieve: have you checked by any chance the thickness of the thermal pads on the GPU, I am planning to replace them and I would have all the thicknesses needed before opening the graphics card. Thank you in advance.

I just bought a HP referb Omen with an i7 10700 and this 2080ti version. All I can say is this card is a beast. I was skeptical when I saw the cooler design. Time Spy score with no overclocking was 12,400. Overclocked the CPU to 5.2GHZ and the 2080Ti to 220 core and 2200 memory. I was able to push a score of 15,230. Temp was around 72C average. It was a bit loud, but I was way impressed. I would not run it at this every day, and it may not be stable long term, but just getting it to that point was an accomplishment. I would say it is a good cooling design, even if it is a bit loud.

My brother has had this card in his pc for over a year now with an i7 9700k, 16gb of ram. Recently his friend just got a pc with a ryzen 5 3600 and gtx 1660 super and to my brothers surprise, that 1660 super is pulling more fps than the hp 2080 in escape from tarkov for example. The hp 2080 does not have any artifacts, it does not overheat, there doesn't appear to have anything wrong with it. The power has not been limited in anyway, and the whole pc is powered by a 750 watt psu and windows was recently installed due to ssd upgrade. Any help would be awesome, thanks so much in advance

I have the Dell blower cooler on a 2070 Super, and it has been suprisingly good. It's in an itx case with ready access to 'fresh' air from my warmer than average apartment through the side panel. I am not running any overclocks. It might be that it is just not running as hard as the 2080s and therefore the Dell cooler is adequate. It DOES occassionally spool up and get really loud when running games like Cyberpunk 2077, but it seems to do so in bursts and cuts back down to reasonable noise levels after a few seconds.

It's louder than the open air cards I have, but not to the point where I can't deal with it. Pretty sure my case fans are louder most of the time, but when it revs up, you'll notice.

I got a great steal on a full build (prebuit, paid 950 eur) I5 9600k, rtx 2080 as the main attractive parts. Anyways, when I changed the original case that the PC came in, which had noooo kind of airflow in it whatsoever, to the right side of the motherboard they have a smaller motherboard for auto CPU overclocking, lights on the front of the case, and I believe it controls the said led as well on the GPU. As I removed it to switch the case, the GPU won't light up anymore. (I also had the GPU replaced, as mine was doing this weird thing where it ramped up as temps hit 83 degrees, dropped to 80 then fan would go quiet, but due to load GPU would get heated up again, rinse and repeat). So it is one of these two factors, but I mostly bet on the small board they have next to the mainboard.

Although they are not the $300 MSRP it is a lot lower than the fantasy land prices other RTX 3060s are often found for. I own this card. It rocks!! Got it really cheap, around 200€ :) from an IT friend. It’s been running 24/7 since September like a charm.
One thing you don’t mention in the video is that at full load (decrypting blockchain transactions ) uses around 250/280/300W. Not the most cost/efficient gpu out there…

I have the 2080 Ti version of this card. Running at stock and runs at 87 degrees full load and it’s loud. Can anyone recommend an alternative cooler? Thanks

I have the 2080ti blower too. Try to undervolt it with afterburner. I get 82/83 degrees now

@@paolobricarelli I’m back. Was driving me mad so I stuck my x62 AIO onto the 2080 ti version of this card and got a new cooler for my
CPU. Gone from 45 idle/87 full load. Now running 22 idle/47 full load. I was not expecting that much difference. Can also hit the high clocks now. Time spy gone from 13k into 15k. Amazed!

@@ChiefBunhead I’m happy to hear that you solved the problem. I changed my cooler too, I couldn’t stand the noise anymore. I bought an aftermarket cooler for the 2080ti and now the max temp is 70 degrees and the card is silent. Timespy score went form 13.5 K to 15.5K

Btw your GPU cooling solution sucks bro. You should know that your inclosed cooling single fan solution sucks.
