How do you have 57 equip power (edit: I haven’t really messed around with ship building but I want to get into it) (2nd edit: why do I feel like there’s gonna be somebody who makes the ship and puts it on the creation club when it comes out somewhere in 2024)
@@danilima6970 You should check out the TH-cam channel "Angry Turtle Gaming." He has a build with 32,000 cargo capacity that is pretty much non-killable. And it looks like a flying motor home. I built it, and I LOVE it. With the skill that gives increased cargo capacity maxed out, I have 48,000 cargo capacity. I'm not sure if links still work in TH-cam comments, but I'll try to link it: th-cam.com/video/KR7sEl9R2q0/w-d-xo.html If that doesn't work, just search for his channel and look for his flying house build. It isn't cheap to build, but even if you cut down on the costs (does anyone really NEED 32k cargo?), it would still be a monster.
Something that might help for future ship builds is what perks are required to build the entire ship and a rough amount for the overall price of building it. Thanks for the awesome builds!
These guides are so hard to follow if you are a beginner at ship building. I wish there was a guide that shows how to build ships like these from scratch rather then trying to figure out how to cut them up into pieces. So frustrating. 😊
Me too, I think there’s different ways to do a bounty hunter as well, like a western style bounty hunter that uses revolvers, shotguns, and rifles, or a high tech bounty hunter, more akin to a mandalorian, that uses all the advanced technology available to them. And both of these would be really cool.
Treasure planet! What a childhood gem. I love that you are always taking shows, books and movies from those childhood days and transforming it into your own lore friendly and game specific art. Love your work Scott! 😊
The thought of sky pirates reminded me of something and gave me mayor nostalgia: Disneys TaleSpin! The fictional Conwing L-16 is unarmed, but would be an interesting motive/inspiration. You could use it for a "medium" trucker kind of build.
Amazing design! It would be nice to see in the future smaller ships, kinda for like a stealth character, something elegant, high mobility compact but with some fire power and shielded cargo to do regular bounty missions. Im currently customizing the mantis ship, trying to not add additional habs since i want it to be as clean and elegant as possible.
Love it! For my Crimson Fleet character I was able to capture a bounty hunter stilleto on my first grav jump and ended up steadily customising that into a light fighter throughout the playthrough, slowly cobbling on and upgrading parts until by the end it looked closer to an X-wing but still retained that original ships central look. Of course with a nice new crimson paint job, I thought it was quite thematic!
This needs a cargo hall that's basically littered with piles of plunder. Could even be dynamic according to the total value of your cargo hold. Modders can make this happen.
Depending on how you mean, you can drop stuff in your ship and it will stay there (I'm sure if you change ships, this won't be the case but I haven't tested it), so that's a possibility.
3 of the last 4 thumbnails on Fudgemuppet have this same pose and I'm kinda loving it. You should do a bunch more in the next couple weeks for the meme
I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks that cargo hall habs should add actual cargo capacity to your ship, or at the very least, have an access screen for the cargo hold.
I NEED a more sloop-like pirate ship build! It even fits with the pirate build because historically Calico Jack and his companions Mary Read and Anne Bonny sailed and raided on a sloop! I feel like this ship fits the Queen Anne’s Revenge or Royal Fortune more than the William (Rackham’s sloop). When Rackham became a captain he commanded an English prize vessel named Kingston as a part of Charles Vane’s fleet, but by the time Rackham and Bonny returned to piracy (following Vane’s death and Rackham’s brief vacation on Providence Island where he met Bonny) they had stolen the William from port in New Providence. Shortly after, Mary Read joined the crew which numbered less than 20 men. Funny enough, following the crew’s capture and Rackham being sentenced to death Anne Bonny, the mother of Rackham’s only recorded child, said “if you had fought like a man you wouldn’t be hanged like a dog” due to the cowardly actions Rackham took during the fight where he and the rest of the crew (excluding Read, Bonny, and one other man) hid below decks following a night of partying with local turtle fishermen. Rackham was relatively small time compared to the likes of Edward Thatch (or Teach depending on who you ask) or Black Bart Roberts. Blackbeard, despite his reign of terror lasting only 15 months, gained notoriety for his appearance and reputation which was by design. His ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, was famous due to a. His iconic flag and b. It’s MASSIVE 40 cannon armament. The king of pirates however, Black Bart Roberts, commanded a ship named the Royal Fortune whose armament was at minimum 40 cannons, the same as the Queen Anne’s Revenge, and used the behemoth to plunder over 400 ships over the span of 3 YEARS. If you ask me, the ship y’all built for the pirate build much closer represents the infamous Royal Fortune rather than the William or even the Kingston. It is for this reason I must humbly request a more sloop-like ship so I may be a more historically accurate space pirate
What an awesome idea. I hadn’t thought of a galleon-style pirate spaceship. I’ve only thought of smaller, more nimble ships. I would absolutely love a military fleet admiral build + ship video(s)
Really cool build and love to see the interiors as well as exterior. Love this format and yes please I would love to see a more nimble version as I’m planning to play a pirate build after I finish my first playthrough 😁
I literally spent the past week, hours per day just perfecting 1 ship. Went away from large Class C ships and fell i love with minimal visually pleasing Class B ships with very easy interior navigation and layouts. Only 1 ladder.
I love how you organized it into sections in shipbuilder made things much easier to follow along (when you was explaining through the tour i mentally got lost, but to see it made it easier to understand). However i would suggest you state what the total cost to build the ship will be so we dont start building it and it turns out we dont have enough to build it to the full extent in one session (as there is no save in progress ability for shipbuilder)
My build is an Industrialist who has massive outposts all over the Settled systems. Build is essentially like a Corporate Executive, his Ship is a sort of Battleship, Frigate, Destroyer class blend. A real nice looking and feeling Deimos vessel, a Corporate Flagship for my domination and monopolization of the Settled Systems.
Tbh I was skeptical about watching, but when I heard you say treasure planet was your favorite child hood movie I knew we were going to be friends. Here we are.
before this game came out, i knew we'd get character builds. but these ship builds are so cool, especially since they pair so good with the character builds. i wonder if a gunslinger ship is coming
Just a suggestion but when your putting each level in it would be nice if you did it slower and showed there exact connection points. Had a struggle getting everything to work without the nova parts off the hop
Wanted to play a pirate build so bad but lack of dynamic bad companions was a deal breaker for me. Been loving yalls gunslinger build with a twist into settlebuilding for the FreeStar Citizens
This was actually a very satisfying ship to build towards. I farmed Pirate mission boards for over ten levels with crimson painted Frontier. Got very good at VH space combat. For people looking to build this: The base version of the fuel tank on the core starts appearing on Level 22. Base version of the shield generator appears level 24. Base version of gauss gun appears level 24 (found it on Deimos) Base version of reactor appears level 17 but there is a better reactor at level 20 to hold you for most of the game. Haven't confirmed yet but- EM weapon appear level 30 Base version of grav drive appears level 39. Hauler shielded cargo level 32.
I’ve been doing a famous space pirate ex bounty hunter Jackie Sparrow. She loves old world history and music that I play while I fly in space from a soundtrack I made. And she is obsessed with being a great and famous pirate just like her great relative whom her bloodline has always named their children after Captain Jack Sparrow. She’s from Nion where her parents were killed at a young age they were aurora smugglers and space pirates, after they died she was took in by this band of famous bounty hunters that saw her on the streets homeless in neon. After traveling together and being a crew for years they finally had enough of her Illegal activities and committing acts of piracy on her own accord so they marooned her on Vectra where she was forced to become a miner for hire. This ship is perfect i have a ship a named the black pearl but I’m definitely gonna use this ship now.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a ship build video for A Class Dog Fighting Ships. Inspiration being air-to-air military aircraft. This is exactly what I’m going for in my build for my first play through. Small size for higher mobility, Minimalistic additions, with powerful balanced weapons and strong shields. I’d love to see what you guys can do with that concept!!! Much love
I really like some of the logic and language choices here, with the deck plan centered around the Cargo Hold and the massed radiator fins as sail surrogates. I also love the overall flow of the interior: some smart choices and real-world logic were applied here. That said, I'm not sold on the intended "age of sail" aesthetic... it's too wide and blocky, more like a pyramid than a sailing ship. On the other hand, if your Pirate was a former Homesteader, I would totally buy this as his idea of a piratical thresher machine :) Personally, I think it would help greatly if the bridge were moved further back: instead of trying to emulate a mast, put it where a ship's wheel would be. It would make the ship's profile appear longer and more ship-like. I would further either move some of the habs inward, or move them outwards on outriggers to further narrow the line of the primary hull. And as much as I love them, I would ditch the Hope 55 Landing Struts for something placed under the ship, again to try to narrow the beam
I'm so glad you guys are back in the saddle again. I can not express the joy I felt seeing your first build for starfield pop up on my feed 😅. I like how the docking port blends in with the weapon mounts. - it sends a message. I am just as deadly of a weapon as these big guns. - also if we dock, I can blow up your ship.
I've actually got an idea; Old War Battleship, with a War Veteran Bounty Hunter build. That's a very nice ship build. I wish you would have shown us how it performs in combat. Looks are nice and all, but I'm more worried about functionality.
I have created a very litteral pirate ship with automatic side canons and have to strafe enemies to shoot them... And canons sunk partially into interior on two separace decks (you can use 4 cannons per tier to separate them as weapon groups.
I'd definitely like to see your "sleeker version" of this concept - Personally, my idea of a design inspired by an old sailing ship would be very long, but very narrow. Put the bridge at the top rear-most section to echo a 'quarterdeck', and have the weapons down the flanks (Turret type weapons - that way you have greater arcs of fire to make up for the less than optimal placement). Using the Nova radiators to echo sails was an inspired choice - so more of that! And presto, Space Brig! ~JD
Imagine a world where once you go to a specific Staryard, you could go back to your Outpost Ship Builder and have access to all parts and mfg. lines that you have encountered thus far, thereby allowing you to make it all in one place Imagine...
I would love to pay for a licensed dealer fee of 20k for each manufacture just to have everything at a outpost builder. You could even work the Stroud-Ekland brand into a quest from Stroud himself.
A slighter, quicker build like you mention would be great for an eventual bounty hunter focused character build, which is no doubt in the works. I like you releasing the ship video first before the actual character video, too, just makes sense somehow.

@-FudgeMuppet1-- You're actually DOING the follow up!? AWESOME!
If you want to design pirate themed ship, i believe you should try to make it less symmetrical. Try to make structure more chaotic.
Imagine a world where once you go to a specific Staryard, you could go back to your Outpost Ship Builder and have access to all parts and mfg. lines that you have encountered thus far, thereby allowing you to make it all in one place
Imagine...
I would love to pay for a licensed dealer fee of 20k for each manufacture just to have everything at a outpost builder. You could even work the Stroud-Ekland brand into a quest from Stroud himself.
Just mod it. Starship builder is the mod and works great. Access to everything in one stop.
@@Sexnuf4u Console, unfortunately
Marvelous !!
A slighter, quicker build like you mention would be great for an eventual bounty hunter focused character build, which is no doubt in the works. I like you releasing the ship video first before the actual character video, too, just makes sense somehow.
