    For anyone coming to this later, the Deluge does now have a waveform view for setting start and end points, so you can select the start/end points graphically

    Mr Wiggly, your video is dramatically underrated. I learned so much. And had happy accidents by stretching a 2 bar loop to a quarter note.
    Glitches and music.
    Thank you again, sir.

    Excellent video. I've had my Deluge for about 8 months now. I used it a lot at first but then stopped for a while (busy busy), so kind of forgot how much fun it can be. And now after watching your video I'm newly inspired, thanks! Subscribed. :)

    Excellent video. Its interesting. No bull. Easy to follow. Not full of non stop buzzwords. Your voice records well, which is very important. I am trying to decide if I should buy the deluge. After watching many videos on it, it looks like one of the best pieces of hardware, if not THE BEST. Its so bloody impressive. Every time the video ends, i have to control myself from not buying it. So why am i not just buying it? Budget. If I do buy it, i will not buy anything major for awhile. But I figure that I will get so much pleasure from it for so long, that I won’t even think about another piece of hardware. Ahhhhh Déluge is so impressive.

    Recently got my Deluge with the newer firmware. Coming from always using software DAWs, I've never had more fun creating music. It feels so much more like you're actually handcrafting the music and the limitations are few and reasonable!

    • @chemicastmiko
      @chemicastmiko 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      what are the limitations you found?

    • @MisterMajister
      @MisterMajister 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@chemicastmiko sometimes a proper screen would help a lot while browsing folders. No immediate way to transpose your sequences (I think all sequencers should have it), pretty difficult to draft synth patches, no mass change of sample play modes (individually change all samples to "cut" from "once" e.g. is tedious as hell!) and the arranger don't pass filter settings etc. to next clip (different clip, same synth patch) while live performing. I still love my Deluge and the sampler is incredible to play around with. I will never regret the purchase.

    • @chemicastmiko
      @chemicastmiko 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MisterMajister thanks detailing! everything you mentioned sounds like stuff they can actually update, did you write them?

    • @MisterMajister
      @MisterMajister 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chemicastmiko No problem! No, I didn't actually but I've read their forum of some of these topics (except the screen) so I'm pretty sure they are aware. But I agree, and the product is still planned to be updated further, so fingers crossed!

    There's a setting for Audio Monitoring. Which is really smart. If you enable Smart Mode, when you plug your phones it starts monitoring the MIC so it avoids feedback.
    Otherwise the Line IN is always monitored.

    very good lesson! Especially stop the Deluge from making music and explain what you want to do and how to get there is a good way and doin that all without FX and with simple sounds.
    It is all a matter of workflow to come to a result.

    More Deluge videos please. This was pretty useful. Although obviously I'm now stuck in an office without my deluge, and I want to go home and have a play. Also have you used Downrush? that's pretty useful in the whole sampling/sample management thing.

    • @olivergili1839

      it basically adds a screen for things like file management (you can also edit .wavs etc) . it's a pretty decent add on.

      @TristanBaldi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mr.Wiggly no problem! The weird thing is that I feel I actually can record in stereo with only one of the two cables. But I'm not sure, maybe I'm mistaken. I guess I'll have to get a stereo cable to be able to sample in stereo using the "audio in" input?

    Shift is not necessary for menue diving: In Kit Mode just hit the audition pad and the menue button you want to go!
    But: Shift New Kit does not work like yours, it gives me flashing Back + Load/New and then I can´t get further :-(
