No fancy phones, no pc, no platforms, no internet. Star Wars was so far ahead of it's time, it blew our minds and expanded our fantasy. It also made me realise, how backwards my country's people are on the imagination department. Which is why i fell in love with it. I also love the Witcher story and 007. Good, european imagination at work, for a change. There are others too but these 2 are prominent for those of us who love action and adventure.
John Williams is a master. Many of the great films of my youth were scored by him, and brilliantly so! Works like this really hi light his genius. Thank you!!

I was listening to this while reading Empire Strikes Back and some planes were flying low over the library, so my brain just registered them as starships taking off around me, I think it added to the experience

Although I would never want to live there, Tatooine has some of the best surprises ever. jabbas palace, beggars canyon, Mos Eisley, the dune sea, pod racing, the great pit of carkoon and many more.
This reminds me of playing star wars galaxies back in the day. countless hours logged into the game and a lot of those were on Tatooine! So much nostalgia in this soundtrack it brings a single man tear to my eye.

It's so great thinking that there must be a Galaxy far, far away where civilizations might exist, where there might be beings similar to us. Star Wars gives me that hope. One day, we will surely find civilizations in this vast universe.

While stuck here on Earth (our beautifully battered home) and getting no closer, so far in my lifetime (56 years old) to travelling freely throughout even just the Milky Way Galaxy, George Lucas provided us with a small sample of what life might be like beyond. Thank you, George, for reminding us of where humanity might be going someday if we can focus our energy, technology and money on space travel instead of on ever expanding defense budgets and military expansion and power. Space travel can lead us into the future to unimaginable living dreams, while wars here on Earth will lead to an eventual planetary graveyard for the whole of humanity. We have it in us to put our differences aside, trust each other and live out our dreams together. We owe it to future generations as they are being born right now and those yet to be born. Love!!! Let's do this!
I would imagine life on Tatooine went as though nothing ever happened at all through the post ROTJ era. Of course they would be used to not seeing imperials but that's a minor detail to the lush drunk coming out of the Mos Eisley Cantina or a visiting farmer

It's not really a dump planet because it's unpleasant, though it has monsters and bandit aliens. It's a dump because it's quite deserted and on the outskirts of the Empire. Kinda like North Dakota. You can live quite happily in North Dakota, but Broadway's a bit far.

I just wish there was a Star Wars game where I could just walk around checking out Old Ben's place, Jabbas fort, the Cantina and spaceport etc etc without having to shoot at people or get shot at! I would be happy just doing peaceful stuff with the crew. Same as going to Dogobah and sharing a hot snake stew with Master Yoda on a rainy night. That would be cool. Great recording ambient worlds. On tatooine I love to watch pod races and then I go get a drink at the mos eisley cantina. The moisture farms on this planet are great and I just brought a droid from the jawas because it was on sale for 5 credits.
