    Enjoyed this one boys.
    Good so see you also touch up the paint .
    Crazy how much a proper detail does to the overall look of a car.

      Totally agree, it's worth doing properly - Ideally the bonnet would have been resprayed, as it's not 100%, and the film highlights a lot of the stonechips, but the owner isn't sure if he's keeping the car or not so we said we'll re- film the bonnet if he decides to get it painted again in the future!

    As an M4 owner in Texas, I approve of your work! Looks beautiful! 👍🏁
    Love to see a more detailed video of how you fix rock chips. The whole leveling and sanding process.. Cheers!

    • @OnTrackDetailing
      @OnTrackDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello sir! Thank you! I'll try to do that in another video when we have a car bad enough. Basically, fill the chips in slowly to just over the level of the paint, dry (time or heat), sand back so its flush and then polish everything up. Not 100 but much improved. This hood was so bad. No idea why, bumper was fine and hadn't been obviously painted.

    Tanzanite blue is a gorgeous colour when corrected, but a bit unforgiving and does show marks easily sadly - great job though and as protected as you’re gonna get! 👍👍

      Exactly that, a stunning colour but shows marks almost like a black car does.

    awesome job guys👏🏻, im looking at getting into ppf, how long does a job like this take? if its in for front ppf would you always correct the paint also??
    Thanks

    • @OnTrackDetailing
      @OnTrackDetailing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello pal, Correction of the paint prior to PPF depends on the condition, we do these in about 1.5-2 days for clean, prep and installation of full front end ppf now. But watching this back now I can see how difficult we made it look compared to now lol. (This was like our 3rd PPF installation so took a bit longer)
      PPF takes a lot of learning and investment and up to you to decide if it's worth it for you or not.
      Needs a clean space, Plotter (ours was £8500 or something crazy), PPF is expensive, software again has a monthly subscription, peel board / wall as well as other items (steamers/trimming and tucking tools etc). and we wasted a lot learning HAHA.
      We've been doing PPF now for over 2 years , and if I can be excused for blowing our own trumpet but are very competent installers now and I'm massively proud of the progress Dan and me have made - but that's down to us practising A LOT as well as having amazing clients who let us work on their cars . It's also down to us not being afraid to waste material by ripping it off and throwing it on the floor haha. A lot of jobs we didn't make any money on because we re-did bits until we were happy to send it out the door.
      This job was good but we do them 10/10 now and strip more parts from the car to get a better finish as well as tweaking the patterns we have for as much coverage as possible. we take all the vents out of the bumper and also the wings now for example as well as lots of trims in the engine bay.
      Had a quick look back just now at the video and I'm like "Jay you fat idiot why didn't you do XYZ" haha. With experience comes improvement I guess.
      Basically the long story short is if you want to actually be a good PPF installer it takes a lot of time and practise, we were lucky as there's 2 of us here so it's easier, if you are just a one man band you will be taking a lot of time off the polisher to learn PPF so you'll be earning virtually nothing until you are competent installer.
      hope this helps cheers!

    Can you let me know of the cost of this type of tidy up and protection? I have one in black, similar condition, less stone chips

      @OnTrackDetailing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Ket_S hello!
      This type of service with the PPF is around the £1800-£2500 range depending on a few things such as what coatings, the level of paint correction and more

      Yes that's always the best time. This car was bought within the last 6 months by its current owner, at least he's decided to do so now. Ideally, the bonnet would have been resprayed first but he's unsure if he's keeping the car for the long term or not.

    How much does this cost?

    • @OnTrackDetailing
      @OnTrackDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว

      This particular service including the polishing, stone chip repairs and all of the PPF using the suntek Reaction market leading film would be around £1800 including our taxes. But I do discounts on these cars for owners in the UK 💙
