Thank You Andy, For some reason, I am no only craving a lovely stew, but want a stone bowl. Thank You so much for another lovely video. Bless you and yours.
Highly recommend pouring the stock very slowly into a HOT baking dish. Especially stone or enameled cast iron. Liquids can drop the vessel temperature too quickly and cause a fracture! Preheating the liquid helps.
Again, really appreciate your videos. I'm greatly suffering from Neuropathy in every sense, so your shows are such a great comfort. I've aged 20 years in just 1 year, so discovering your channel has eased it somewhat.
You cant beat a good stew to warm the cockles on a winters day.Looks delicious, and has given me an idea to make a chicken and dumpling stew next time im up in the woods.
Unusual walls on part of that little structure. Stew looked good and the pot is perfect for one big serving. I’d want a nap after that . I love horseradish on lots of stuff. Have a killer horseradish sauce that goes with prime rib . Enjoyed watching. Have a great evening
There's just that little something with food cooked on an open fire that adds to the flavour from the flame the smoke and the wood your burning no cooker can copy of emulate it . Nice one Andy👍
You are back at one of my favorite sites on your channel. It seems quite a lovely day! I hope spring comes quickly or early or something. In Central Virginia, we have a a colder winter than expected.
Lentils seemed obvious. Barley? Sounds Interesting! I'm more of warm weather camper. It 28F today. When we get into to 50's. I'm going to try this recipe. Thanks for Another Nice Simple Relaxing video to Indulge in! Keep them coming
When I lived in Scotland, I would hike to a Folly and make a fire in a Victorian fireplace/chimney that ran up a cliff wall-- a grown over area a few hundred yards in front of Murray Hall in Stirling-- I could sit in front of that fire and play my harmonica all night long-- just doing nothing. Stateside, if I can't hunt/fish/goldpan-- I'll get so bored bushcrafting. Amazing how population density affects my needs. I would go insane in the UK. Just so many people and so few places to escape from them. So I am happy Andy and others have found their happy places... sad that they still have cell coverage.
Good to see some honest cooking on TH-cam. I like making stews , soups , broths etc . I personally don't like salt as there is plenty in naturally. I know some people like extra salt but in don't like the taste it , but that's a personal choice . Good little video.
I did make it! Your cooking is similar to mine but you always go over the top, which I love. The stew turned out amazing! We will be making it again. Thanks for the recipe!!
Another great video Andy - well done! I also want to say thanks for recommending the Direct4x4 vehicle awnings a while back…I finally got around to ordering one last week and have not fitted it to my old VW camper - it’s awesome!!👍
Thank you Inspiring me to create content. Just a month away from doing a proper camping setup video, Currently there is complete Fire Ban in Western Australia, that is why i couldn't go on camp. But i will definitely come up with the content similar to you in a month 🤗❤️
Andy, great video as usual. You mentioned you like a dollop of horseradish in your stew! Not something I have tried but I will be doing, sterling idea! Have you ever heard of Henderson’s relish? It’s a northern delicacy made in Sheffield. Imagine Lea & Perrins but on steroids! A good splash in a bowl of beef stew is a game changer. 👍🏻
Thank you for the video that looked an awesome stew ❤️ I need a stone bowl in my life. Just thinking could you have found another flat rock to put on top and if you buy a horse radish tuber it will grow wildly and you will always have some leaves to chop up 😊
Andy, my wife watched this video and your stew was so appealing to her that she wasted no time making stew for dinner tonight. 😂 By the way, after hearing my praises of you then she recently became a Subscriber to your channel and even invites me to watch your videos with her. 👍😊
Man's food mate, a big bowl of that and a fast spoon.
slice of good bread and a squirt of Worcestershire sauce, food of the Gods.

You may want to try searing the meat before adding it to the stew pot. I find it adds quite a bit of flavor. Great video, as always!

Stew can be quite a bit thicker you could’ve used a thickener that would’ve been nicer to eat!

Bay leaves. In a stew. That really 'picks it up', as you say.
