A more basic question here, why would we want to smoke a pipe? My father and stepfather smoked a pipe but I never understood exactly why. Honestly, this would be a good video topic.
@@Incandescentiron I think it's very calming and there's something fun about the ritualistic nature of smoking a pipe specifically. There's technique that goes into it that cigars and cigarettes just don't have. It's a whole experience in my opinion.
@@TomSmokesPipes my pleasure Sir. Would be honoured if you stopped my “beginner” channel lol Although it has been a while since I picked up camera. Think its time again. I prefer smoking in colder months.
What are the cons of inhaling? I’m using a pipe to get away from cigarettes. You and another guy have both said “you don’t inhale pipes” but even when I smoke cigars I inhale them. The extra bite feels great and I love it. Is it worse for you to inhale say an organicly grown Virginia compared to a cigarette?
@@McKannon You definitely can, it's just not going to be good for your lungs. It's more likely far better than cigarettes, but I'm not an expert. I'd read up on the dangers of doing that.
you arent supposed to inhale cigars or pipes because its not about the bite but its about the flavors of the leaf but you can do it if you want it just might have side affects
@@peestrem31 I grew tired of people telling me what I’m supposed to and not supposed to do. Says who? The “professionals”? I inhaled my pipe and let me tell you it was the most delicious smoke I’ve ever had in my life. If I were to go back to smoking any tobacco, it would be with a pipe and inhaling it. Not only did I have the beautiful flavours of just letting it sit in my mouth, but I also got that nice little bite I craved in my throat. It was the best time I’d ever had ingesting tobacco.
So I did everything wrong. Amazon pipe-check, aromatic tobacco-check, tongue bite-check, terrible experience-check. Thank you for the great video, I think I’ll give it another shot with a couple corn cob pipes and a Virginia tobacco.
@@toddlajiness Id recommend some Burley Blends if you want a nutty, chocolatey, woody tobacco. My favorite non-aromatics are Burleys. Virginias tend to be a bit too hay-like for me. But try a bunch and see which ones you like!
I also did everything you did. Amazon pipe, shitty vanilla aromatic tobacco, burnt the shit outta my tongue. Almost everyone’s first experience with a pipe is something like that and i think that’s what turns people off of it. I kept going (been at it for like 6 years now, currently 27) and I smoke a pipe everyday. It’s so relaxing. Can’t imagine life without it lol
I'm going to be switching from my mod to a pipe in the near future. Just because I hate it honestly, and I'm really missing cigarettes, but my husband hates the smell. Also I’m sure you’ve probably heard of them but on the off chance you haven’t, Maqueen pipes are absolutely worth checking out! Fantastic quality.
Red River ( Tobacco) any good ?
@@randy80ism Never tried it! What kind of tobacco are u looking for?
This was a damn good video for rookies! Thanks 🙏🏿
Wow 38k views on first video. Impressive:). All the best!
@@countbasingstoke thank you!
@@McKannon no says literally 99.9% of people who smoke cigars and pipes lol. you can inhale it if you want but lung cancer is deadly
Really, really good and well explained introduction to the hobby 👍- Gratz and subbed
Need that aromatics video my dude
How about the morgan one line? They're all briar
@@timothyjones2683 Not sure! Never tried them
Good video. Thanks.
Absolutely outstanding
Any new videos coming?
Possibly!
do these tips work for weed
I'm going to be switching from my mod to a pipe in the near future. Just because I hate it honestly, and I'm really missing cigarettes, but my husband hates the smell. He suggested we get into pipe smoking, so I've been doing my research. I'm to excited to start. This was really so helpful. Thanks a bunch.
