Working around wiring is my weakness yet I can read it. But this install gave me confidence to translate wiring from diagram to the actual thing. Thank you so much for uploading great content everything from Ford to the good ol Chevy 😎
That was perfect. I already knew how to do it but very well explained for those who were unsure. You can also get wireless buttons. I'll be trying one soon.
Thank you sir, for an excellent, concise and clear explanation. It helped me over not only to understand how to install a horn but also some important basic car electricity concepts plus the concept of the relay. I also learned some simple but, important techniques in doing the job perfectly. Thank you very much again. Keep on the good and concise work. Best regards
Thank you so much bro but i didn't get the switch part clearly. Right so we have power coming from the relay pin 85 to the positive of the switch okay. So where is the other pin on the switch connected to
Hello...... I realize this is over a year old but hopefully you see this......Would you know how to add an additional horn button to an exesting 12v horn? Thank you in advance
Good job. You used the non-insulated crimp part of the tool on an insulated crimp, both ring and butt splice. If you'd used the back side that said "insu" you wouldn't have risked piercing the insulation and wouldn't need the heat shrink.
just curios why you didnt you use the stock factory horn wire from the original car horns ,, it has a relay it self and i used the factory horn wire and added 1 relay and took out my 2 stock horns and replaced with 4 caddilac horns my 97 mercury sable sounds like a train and its loud ,, i use my regular sterring wheel horn pad switch
The wiring in this vehicle is a bit of a mess, so doing everything from scratch was the best bet. You certainly can use the original wiring, if that's an option. Thanks for watching! 👍
The horn was from harbor freight, I had spare wire.....idk where I got it but it helped us do 2 projects, the relay my buddy had it as well as the buttons that he bought I believe as a bunch for idk maybe $4 for 8 or something like that
I just installed a horn in my off road Miata with this video. It's so great and easy to follow. THANK YOU!!!!
Explaining using both the diagram and exact wiring make it much easier to understand. Thank you very much. Now I can wire my truck's horn.. 👍
This is the absolute best video with the best diagram that I have seen, after watching many many like this. Thanks. Too bad it took a year to find it.
