Now, with my R1250RS, I've had to purchase the adaptor so the older unit will work with the 2022 bike. I note that you've got tiny zip-ties on those goofy grommets on the side panels. Good idea.
Take a look at your overpriced BMW oil filter. Right on the can, it states it's made by Mahle. Why not save a few dollars and purchase the oil filter from Mahle. It's a Mahle OC 619. It's also available from Amazon.

Thanks for the reply! BMW used to run a partial dry sump system but it looks like they've moved away from that. I've got a 2023 GS 1250 I when I didn't 'see' the second internal drain plug, I watched your video to validate it's absence. Thanks for the great content! 🏍🤘

Does the bmw filter come with the crush ring or is that a separate part?
Crush washer is a separate part.
So did BMW eliminate the 2nd 'internal' oil drain plug?
Great question! I'm not aware of a second plug. This is my first GS 1250/1200.

They only have that on the K bikes. My K1600 has the internal sump plug and my 1250 RT doesn’t have it….
