nice spot, thanks for sharing. I cant understand how is possible not to fill any oil after exchanging the DCT cooler? It was seen how some oil run away during the exchange and some of oil remained in the old cooler. When Brian tested the oil level in the DCT always the amount of oil was OK. It seems that the oil circuit must have been overfilled before the exchange started. Please can you explain me how this could happen? Thanks, Richard
Thanks for the great video. Twice below someone has asked about the interval and you have not answered. I have an F82 with 53,000 miles and am also curious. Additionally when should the coolant, and differential fluids be changed or topped off?
Brian, What's the mileage on this car? that fluid looks decent still. Just wondering like everyone else below when we need to replace the fluid. To me the only way to tell when is to know what oil condition in the car (oil analysis). However, if the procedure to change the oil is pretty simple, then no reason to not change it at lower interval. When you run the engine, was it to circulate the oil or bring the oil temp to certain level, or both? That would be awesome to entire DCT oil change procedure.
Hi Brian. I replaced my transmission cooler and topped it off again. Upon driving, the transmission slips on all odd gears (2nd, 4th and 6th). 1st 3rd 5th and 7th totally normal. It’s a 2019 DCT m4 with 18k miles and have the car out of the country. No codes, no warnings. My mechanic has no clue what it may be and want to know if there’s anything I should look at prior to dropping the transmission.
Does anybody know how that cluster is blue? I want to have a red cluster on my f36 & I could not find it. If anybody knows anything please inform me. Thank you..
That additional length added to the torque wrench would call for a re-calc of the torque being applied by the torque wrench. Just a heads up.
also ista+ recommends 25+- 3 nm which converts to 18.4 ft-lb

Great video. Do you happen to have a DIY manual transmission fluid change video for the S55??

That fluid looks pretty clean, how many miles were on this f80 at the time of filming?
What the interval to replace DCT fluid . ?
Such a clean car
I get the nm and ft lbs mixed up sometimes too.
Hi Bryan, did you make a ZF 8HP oil service vifeo? Or are you planning to make one?
can you use a motive brake breeder. Will that be easlier
May I ask how many liters do you use?
Brian,

Generally how much fluid is needed if drained?

Great video very informative hopefully you can do a bmw m3 f80 manual transmission down the line.

Hi Brian do you have the video on the Support Brace ?
