    We take YellowVette04's C5 Corvette to Complete Street Performance for the long awaited dyno tune. Tuning the C5 Corvette from start to finish, including street tuning, took about 2.5 hours. After 5 dyno runs, Andrew had the C5 Corvette safely producing some great power numbers. The BTR stage 2 cam we installed in the C5 Corvette's LS1 added power and torque and that signature choppy idle.

    What do you think of the power numbers that YellowVette04's C5 Corvette made with the BTR Stage 2 cam?

      Mr. Scott everything you did to the yellow vett. I'm thinking of having done. Plus intake and 243 heads. What would be a fair install price ? It would be going in an FRC just like yours. But needing the same treatment as Yellow Yellow vette.

      For labor only, or do you need parts? Are you replacing the typical wear items like oil pump and timing chain? New balancer?
      My suggestion is to call a few local shops and compare pricing. Labor rates can vary by location and shop.

      @@troy8940 Hi ! Hey at the power level Yellow vette 04 is making you really don't need intake manifold or cylinder head up grades. No offence. to Team 512 but if haven't checked out Richard Holdener on TH-cam
      you should. He's a wealth of good
      advice. Highly knowledgeable about
      LS & engines in general all based on
      dyno testing. He's a regular at West Tech & author of gear head books.
      He does multiple variations & combinations of parts & engines
      comparisons.

    385 with a cam? Seems a little low. My 03 is making 385hp/403tq with just full exhaust and tune. Does the auto kill the power that much?

    Question; I want to increase the power of a 1999 C5 from the stock ~345 HP up to 415 HP, naturally aspirated on 98 octane fuel. What's the best way to do this, and would you say that 415 HP is more or less completely safe for this engine/drivetrain?

      415 would most likely be safe. If your even still working on this. But that’s not a ton of power added, after intake, exhaust, and tune it would most likely be close. Might have to bust open internals and go with a head/cam and you would be over that 415 mark im guessing

    thats kinda weak. You can pull 360ish whp just with a minor tune on a stock motor with airbox. Add I/H/E/C and ignition upgrades along with a tune should see 400whp on a stage 2 cam or more

    Dude, you dont look happy about loosing your drivabillity. Wbat torque converter did ya go with? Are you still the stock 2 something rear cogs?

      This is a good question for YellowVette04 since this is his car. Hop over to his channel and ask this question. At this point, he is still on the stock converter but I can’t speak to driveability.

      ThatCorvetteGuy 2004 It is beautiful country here. TH-cam consumes quite a bit of time. Especially to do it consistently. Best advice I can give, it to try and make 5 videos in 3 weeks. Don’t make any of them live until they’re all finished.

      I'm somewhat near Morris Town, in Scotch Plains. Cartek in Garwood has a dyno. 45 minutes south ECS in Cream Ridge. 2nd Street Speed in Perkasie PA also has a dyno.

      He did not opt for a stall converter. Says it's good to go. I believe he may have plans to add one down the road.

      Usually around 295 or so for a stock auto C5

    Man when that ZO6 came out there running 405 horses stock and with a aftermarket cam you can't even get 400 horses you need a tuner.....🤓🤓
