Orange and brown parking trams are in fashion, as is a bland T&TC. Journey over Seven Seas Lagoon on the Magic Kingdom I.

Is it just me or does the nostalgia of this video create a warm fuzzy feeling in the pit of your stomach and heart. The magic this place creates is amazing.

That was Great! The only problem is, you didn't get me in the video lol.?? I was a Monorail pilot at that moment you were there. I know the Monorail Pilot that drove you from the MK to the TTC, but I am the worst at remembering names. I'm not sure if any one has posted this in our monorail family group page, but I will post it. The group is going to love it!

So many memories of working at the TTC. I did my college program and seasonal work between 2003-2004...while so much had changed since this footage, so much was still eerily similar!
I would love to see an updated version, especially now that WDW has new buses, the Skyliner and Minnie vans. Great video as always.

The song is actually called "Hold On" and yes it's by Wilson Phillips. I actually had that CD back in the day.
And crazy how much admission was back in 1990! $31 for one day? I still have my tickets from 1987 and it was $27 or $28 for one day back then.

A few notes:
* The MAPO tractors have been replaced by new tractors. I don't know who is manufacturing them, but compared to the MAPO tractors, they're pretty brutish-looking, like they should be working as an airport push-tug.
* Monorail cab riding is no more. A crash in the wee hours of July 5, 2009 killed the pilot and saw the retirement of the colors Purple and Pink, both replaced by Teal and Peach. Cab riding was briefly banned at Disneyland, as well, before, I guess, they realized the chances of a crash on their system is slim-to-none due to the fact it isn't as busy as Disney World's system.
Disneyland also has newer trains on their system. Florida is overdue to get Mark VIII's .

wow, was just looking for something to watch tonight and found this. shocked how it kept me watching LOL very well done :)
My first "watch" of this video was listening only using my phone in my car (Bluetooth) with only occasional glances over to the phone screen at stop lights. It was so enjoyable - I hated for it to end. Can't wait to actually see the video and text. Mind you my first visit to WDW wasn't until 2011, but the nostalgia brings back my days growing up going to Disneyland in the 1950's-1970's. I totally get the One More Day song at the beginning - what a great way to start - the anticipation. So much more I'd like to comment - great job with this. Thank you.

Second, I loved when you could ride up front in the monorail. Thanks for those shots. I did that once.

Gotta love those 1990 ticket prices but even then people complained about how expensive it was. I really do wish Disney would expand the Monorail to more resorts and include all 4 parks.

That $138 multi day ticket translates to $258 in 2018 money. So definitely more bang for your buck back then. Disney will charge whatever the crowds are willing to pay, they want their $$$

unfortunately they will never expand the monorail... at a cost over $ 100 million PER MILE... (today's money) that's one reason... they will have to add more buses and more roads...

That was good but I wish you would talk about the monorail that was struck by lighting (monorail black)
Disney's recently-installed management in 1984 swore to never build more monorail lines because canals were a more cost-effective option, but why are buses still being used to this day? Disney has guests traveling from all over the world, and the company wants them to stay on property. So, isn't having an excellent mass-transit network that is fully integrated into the entertainment experience exceedingly important, then?
Monorails cost a lot of money to build.

the monorails are falling apart , I expect them to be torn down or rebuilt . Almost every week parts fall in the parking area. cars are damage , people have been hit by them too . So just think of the areas people can't walk or drive by. I don't ride them for this reason , I don't want to be on the one when the track goes down.
@@akoww1000 They're building some other transportation around the parks. There's currently a Gondola being built from Hollywood Studios to Epcot's International Gateway.

Phone Disney up and explain that you have four passport books with one day left in them, are they still useable, I do know someone on a group I'm in (disney dorks) on Facebook said that she had some and she actually got them transferred to a ticket at Magic Kingdom.
