What a powerful podcast. I've also had a very close friend of mine as well as two of my sisters molested. Both were blamed for it despite being little kids.
Qadr definitely becomes a major struggle for these Muslims and it would be amazing if we could work on Muslim Counseling or something online for this specifically with it being so prevalent. Having someone on the level to speak to does wonders.

I am 61 years and Canadian for 21 years but lived all my previous life in Saudi Arabia, I was very active back in Saudi Arabia by attending nearly all the lectures of the previous grand Mufti of Saudi, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz (may Allah have mercy on this great scholar), one day a man asked him a question that his father didn't accept Islam but he did one or two times prayed Islamic pray (Salat) by simply imitating him (the person who was asking the question), the man's question was does his father will be in Jannah or in the Hell Fire because of his prayers ONLY without being a Muslim? The Mufti paused for some time and then asked the man, did his father prayed properly with all the things that come in the prayer (the Salat), the man said yes, and the Mufti said may Allah, with His mercy, InshaAllah enter your father in Jannah BECAUSE OF THE WORDS OF SHAHADA (the words that are in between the Shaadat that he said in prayer while he was sitting after the second ruku)! I think the same rule also goes for your grandmother too because she uttered the words of Shahada!

al-hamdu lillaah, praises be to Allah, who blessed you with the real monotheism, shahadah does not require a huge audience and on Friday, should be said the minute one is convinced and where ever he/she is.. may be for witnesses present then also it can be said at home, at local mosque, at work ..on phone.. Allah is the most High Witness

What is he referring to when says ‘went to hell for 3 days’…? Is this a metaphor for his suffering or a literal belief?
It's a litteral belief. Christian's believe Jesus was cursed because anything hung on a tree and crucified is cursed. So Isa was cursed and then suffered in hell for 3 days so that they can be forgiven and can neglect the law. It's a crazy belief that controdicts the bible itself. No one should hold the sin of another
Narrated by Aisha: that the Prophet (ﷺ) married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death) Sahih al-Bukhari 5133, Book 67, Hadith 69.
