    Allhamdulillah. It's good to hear that there's good support for new Muslims. Things sound very different to when I came to Islam 23 years ago. Sad to say, I didn't have a good experience with the Muslim community at that time. It was a period when a lot of born Muslims were coming back to the Deen, and the mosques were run by old Pakistani immigrants. Allhamdulillah they probably did their best, but I don't think they quite understood what a huge thing it was for someone of my age and background to have accepted Islam at a time when it was very rare to see another white face in the mosque. There was no support for reverts at that time, and it just felt as though Islam should be enough. To give up what I had to give up, with nothing to replace it with was hard! Very easy in the beginning, but extremely difficult the more time went on. You come to the deen expecting everyone to feel the same incredible feeling that you're feeling. You expect to see pure Islam. But sad to say, it doesn't exist, and boy did Satan know how to work me with all the negative aspects I saw within the Muslim community. Sad to say, I never truly felt part of the Ummah. I felt like I was just a young white face that made their mosque look good. Sad to say, after a few years of in and out of the deen like a yoyo, the love and welcoming feeling I had hoped to have found in the Muslim community I found elsewhere, with Thai Buddhist, while spending 3 months in a Thai boxing training camp. Unfortunately, this was the beginning of me being 12 years away from the deen. Satan worked his evil magic, and and put words into my head that I have too much respect for Islam to keep jumping in and out of practice, and that I need to make a choice. I was made to believe that the Muslim community will never find me a wife, and that I have to go back to sin to find one. But, allhamdulillah, everything happens for a reason. I now have a beautiful wife, who may not be a Muslim, but definitely embodies the spirit of Islam. Allhamdulillah I have 2 fantastic children and allhamdulillah, I'm back practising my Islam again, and inshallah, will do till the day I die. So what's the purpose of this post? I just want to say to any revert out there that no matter how low you may be feeling, no matter how much negativity you may be experiencing, no matter how many times you may wonder if it's all worth it, just remember you're not alone in these feelings. Someone has been there before you. Someone is experiencing it with you. And someone will experience it after you. This is Islam. Islam is to struggle. This is the true jihad. You're not going to wake up every morning feeling great. You're going to feel moments of very low iman, but never forget, it doesn't last forever. With great struggle comes great reward. Allah chose you to be part of His Ummah. Never give up hope. Never give up the fight. Know that this life is not for long. It's nothing but a mere blink of an eye. Jannah is forever!!! Don't raise the expectation bar too high, that way the fall won't hurt too much. Again, Allah chose you for His Ummah. Never forget this. No matter how many times you may fall, just keep coming back. Fight Satan to the end, you Will win!

    I genuinely suffered with depression after completing Hajj. I was on such a high during Mecca/Madinah and when initially coming back to U.K. As the weeks went by, I missed these places so much, I watched videos every day and looked at my pics etc. I prayed my Salah and kept up my good routine but man, I hit some low points. Allah tests us in many different ways Masha’Allah

    • @login8312
      @login8312 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yes we will all be tested incha allah, keep reneeing and refreshing your iman when you feel vulnerable to shaitan. A lot of "dikr" help in this, try to pray a couple or rakaat and ask Allah to help you in your journey. Stay strong. May allah reward you well. And provide you the best guidance. Stay sure that allah loves those who put the effort and their heart at his obedience. It all will make sense one day. Incha allah.

      Keep strong brother, Allah tests us all in many ways, even Muslims who were born into the faith. Know that Allah only wishes to raise the rank of certain people in the hereafter and also test us. We all know the verse from the Quraan, simply saying I believe is not enough, for you to grow; your faith has to be tested. Take comfort knowing we are blessed to have a relationship with the Almighty, and that we all have been guided to Islaam, Alhamdulillah. The affairs of the Believers are all good, Alhamdulillah

      this particular ayah has an immense effect on me.
      Q.S 39:53
      Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
      whenever i hit the low, i read this ayah.

      You are right brother, test come in different levels and ways. But know that ALLĀH Sees you and you weakness as a human is also a form of submission to your Lord. And Your Lord wants you to be in paradise. So, stay strong, make lots of dua and prayers. Give charity and your strength will again come back in sha Allah be'idnillah.

    "O men! Behold, We have created you all out of a male and a female, and have made you into nations and tribes, so that you might come to know one another. Verily, the noblest of you in the sight of God is the one who is most deeply conscious of Him. Behold, God is all-knowing, all-aware". - 49:13

      Nadia A Nadia A Nadia A ...honey, it’s never beneficial, it’s just that they seriously enjoy degrading women with those types of conversations. I dunno if you’ve heard about all the sorts of things such types of men say to each other - FOR EXAMPLE “get yourself four wives so they can help each other around the house’” or “I’m gonna marry 4 wives & put them in 4 different countries” or “Women having periods means I need another wife” & the list goes on!! 🤢🤮 I mean look at them, as soon as polygamy is mentioned you see them all giggling & smiling at each other.. disrespecting & degrading women is FUN!!😒🙄 these types of men are nothing but pure misogynists to me.

      Just_ Love I wouldn’t call the brother a misogynist based on that convo I just think he handled it immaturely. As for the period comment, only idiots would think that and I wouldn’t take these individuals seriously tbh. Imagine both of your wives have their period at the same time (which happens a lot) what are you gonna do 😂
      But honestly sister don’t bother with the individuals you described at the end of the day if they want to take on multiple wives for pathetic reasons it’s their right and if they don’t fulfil their rights they will be questioned on the day of judgement. You just have to make dua Allah safeguards you from someone like that
