    In this video, Isiah Bowie, an EY tax accountant, shares his tips how he studied for the CPA exam multiple choice questions, simulation questions and how he took study notes.

    The best explanation about Study time. I don't measure by hours either. I just go through my check list ❤❤❤

    Wondering what the success rate will be for the new format that came out in Jan 2024. You still have to battle the AUD, FAR, and REG. The 4th part of the exam is your choice between IT, Tax, or business applications. Glad I passed it when it was pen and paper back in '97.

      Thanks for your comment. I’m also interested in the success rate. I believe this change will really help career growth. Extending the timeline to 36 months, I hope more people become CPAs.

    Is there a reason you took reg second and not audit?

    What advice do you have for someone coming from another country wanting to sit for the CPA. I used to work as an auditor for PKF before moving in the US

    • @CPACareerPaths
      @CPACareerPaths  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which state in US are you moving to? You may want yo check the state requirements for sitting the CPA exam and plan to complete those requirements

      @@CPACareerPaths I’m currently in Wisconsin. I have a degree in accounting back in my country and already admitted to for my masters.

      @@CPACareerPaths but Wisconsin wouldn’t allow me to sit because they said my education is outside the US. So hopefully I’ll choose Iowa or Minnesota.

      That’s a good idea. Each state has its own policies/requirements.

      @@CPACareerPaths yeah it’s always hard if u coming from outside. The requirements vary. Is there any pattern you advise someone to sit for the papers. For example I have good knowledge in auditing but not US tax. I did UK tax. Would you suggest going for FAR first or it doesn’t matter

      @@Nupetay_1 lol thats awesome! I picked wiley because all my college classes used wiley for text/homework and also the price. But so far I love it it's simple and seems to cover the difficult topics in a step by step format... and not yet I just submitted my cba application a week ago so I'm getting ready to take FAR in December or January
