We want to replace two doors in our home with barn does and just realized last week the standard doors are too small, but my husband isn't convinced I can build one. So this video came just in time. Now I KNOW I can do it. Thanks for the video! You two are so adorable!
Love all of your DIY videos you ladies are awesome! I’d LOVE to see you build a beautiful makeup vanity!! One day I want to build a beautiful one with lots of storage and a mirror ☺️👍🏼👍🏼
Very cute I'm making a couple for my bedroom. One for the walk in closet and one for the bathroom. I do have to make the bathroom one look pretty from both sides though. :) Great build as always!
I’m getting ready to do this to ours, but I really want to know what to do with the old trim and cutouts for the hinges. I really want to get rid of that old door trim.
What did you add as a stopped that is on the floor? It looks like it could be a door knob screwed into the floor. Love this design btw! Thanks for sharing your talents!
Is the facing you used sealed already? or will you be sealing it? As a back splash I wondered if it would stain over time with grease or tomato sauce accidents without it being sealed to wipe off. Thanks love all the projects!
Awesome. Can you use an existing door as the "barn door"? Just purchase the hardware and put the header to the studs? I like the door it's the placement wasn't thought out when building and it hits another door...if that makes sense. Thanks.
Trudie Vick probably not bc the existing would be too small. Barn door suppose to cover the opening roughly 1-2 inch both sides and top to cover the trim pieces.
Trudie Vick I know I’m 5 months behind on this comment but was thinking perhaps you ( or someone else with similar situation) could take the existing door and “add on” some extra trim or barnwood to give the existing 🚪 door you’ve taken down some extra charm and or necessary width and or height? Charm up a boring hollow core. Old trim few coats of paint and distress where needed. Anyway. Just a thought.
Unfortunately, the placement of all of the doors in my house, won’t allow me to hang barn doors. So, I plan to build the large media cabinet with barn doors, following your plans. That way I can still get some barn doors in my house.
The short girl with dark hair has a smart mouth 👄 and kinda puts Dow the other one I like watching because they’re very helpful but I wish she wasn’t so mouthy !

What do you do with the old jamb and hinges? Are the temoved and replaced with new wood? How about the door trim
Y’all that turned out super cute! Love the horizontal planks added to the door to give it character! 😍 Keep it up!

I love how it turned out! I just may have to use the plans to do the barn door I've been wanting to do in our bedroom!

love it!
Did you put a stopper on the track?
Have you girls ever used the driftwood planks for a herringbone wall?? I want to try this on the front of my kitchen island and then back splash.
Nancy Cook not this exact product but we do have a how-to video for a reclaimed barn wood herringbone wall ❤️

Katiep1982tx thank you! We did seal it and linked to the sealer we used ❤️
I love this! What table saw would you ladies recommend to rip the wood?
How cute!! I wanna do this but i dont got the tools!
Can this be done to an exterior sliding glass door as a replacement
Can you buy those planks precut like that?

Thanks.
Antique or vintage doors make beautiful barn doors if you find one bigger than your opening + trim.
Trudie Vick you can if the door is large enough!

It would be cute painted with chalk paint. Make grocery list or honey dos.
The link to the barn door hardware no longer works. Is there are brand or type of hardware you recommend?
Where can I find the plans for this door? Thanks
Come and do mine Please........You guys do great work, and make it look easy.
Can you make a video about how to make a clothes closet in a easy way and don't cost alot please ❤
What is the name of your wood filler? Tried to find it, but your link wasn’t working for me.
On the top left corner you have some sort of gap from between the trim and the plywood / actual door
Moran Guy yah, we were working on-site, and as you can see, we were covering with planks anyway 😏
Does it have stops on either end? And second question, is this still a trend? Or is it a fading trend?

What is the name of your favorite wood filler?
Are you finished in the land of leasha?
Starr Fitz yes!
What kind of nail gun is that??????????? I need one in my life STAT!!!!
NJ CAMOCUTIE not sure which one because we used a couple! We linked them all in the post on our site ❤️❤️
Could you just attach the planks and nix the plywood??
Makes me want to change my door but I'd have to move the China cabnet.
And then it rolls right off the end... Only saw that coming a million miles away
I wish u girls were my sister's
I did it myself thanks to Woodprix.
I did something like this a month ago with plans from Woodglut.
The short girl with dark hair has a smart mouth 👄 and kinda puts Dow the other one I like watching because they’re very helpful but I wish she wasn’t so mouthy !
