Greetings from Poland. Min Y Don (in English - At the edge of the waves) looked OK. Good facilities. You were in the county of Gwynedd (pronounced Gwin-eth). Isn't Harlech Castle superb. And the worlds steepest street Ffordd Pen Llech, derived from the Welsh words pen ("head", "end", "top") and llech ("flat rock", "slab", "smooth cliff") can be translated approximately as "end of the rock", "head-stone", or perhaps "stony headland". What a walk down! The beach looked fantastic and the drone shots were wonderful. Midge to the rescue. Poor Tricia - I hope she got better quickly. Stay safe please and I'll see you soon
Your hubby "sorting" the laundry reminds me of my late hubby. He just threw everything in and said "it'll all come out in the wash". lol Enjoyed your video. Wasp stings do hurt terribly. Been there too. Emergencies for stings is good old wet mud to draw the poison out is what my mother always said. Take care folks.
Thanks Sandy, Mike is like that too, he just throws everything in the wash together and I get fed up telling him, its best if I just do it myself. The sting was sore for a few days then ok. Didn't know about wet mud, but there was plenty wet sand on it.
you are having a great time. I am glad I am not the only one that forgets things to take away, even with a list! The pigeon - it is not a "you" it is a "Doo" Thanks for sharing ATB
We've been to the castle twice, really engyed it. We stayed about 6miles away from the Castle on a little CL site near a nudist beach. We walked from the campsite to the castle, we were really pleased when we eventually got there.
We loved it there too, so much to do and see and the castle was magnificent. Didn't know about the nudist beach, maybe i could have filmed a clip and had something on the thumbnail, would have got 50k views, after all, lots of other TH-camrs are playing that game 🤣
That was a great laugh with your selfie stick. Brilliant drone footage of that castle 👍 Forgot to say it was good of Trish to take on the wasp so that you could fly your first rescue mission 😁👍
Great video, we’ll definitely visit Harlech on our next trip to Wales. Wasp stings are really painful! I hope it wasn’t too long before Trish’s foot was better. It was lovely meeting you both at Wellhouse yesterday.
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot Yes, that was my husband, Ivan. The dogs are called Jethro (brown), Jasper (black) and Jonty (red) but our neighbours call them the three delinquents! 😁
Wonderful footage, scenery and hills!! Oh my goodness!! Seriously ..truly enjoyable love your humor, editing etc.. and hopefully Trish is feeling better! ❣️
Thanks Jackie, that's very kind of you to say so. We have a lot of fun making these and makes it all worthwhile getting your feedback. Trish was hobbling for 2 days then right as rain 👍
Greatly enjoyed this last video with the fantastic views from the castle, sorry about the wasp sting, they can be very painful... your previous video, footsteps on the beach was awesome, thanks for sharing all this beauty....
Really enjoyed the vlog - the site looks very promising and the castle looks well worth a visit. Lovely beach shots apart from poor Trish getting stung - toe not a good place for it if she's driving. Thanks for the advice about the selfie stick ! Looking forward to more. Safe travels. George and Trish - CaravanningMacs
Great video guys and at first when you headed into the laundry with the dog I thought it was to give her a good wash after the beach escapade 😂 Your shadow was class, so funny. What a fantastic dog treat she really enjoyed it and that hill is better doing down than up thats for sure. Thanks for sharing guys stay safe, lookout for wasps and enjoy your holiday👌💖
Ouch! to the wasp sting ... I hope it didn't spoil too much of you holiday. You really must control your selfie stick, Mike. It could get you arrested😂. Lovely video, really enjoyed the drone shots.
Great one guys We really enjoyed the whole insight to the little trip around Harlech …. Never been to the beach there and Mike I would of had a larger tripod for the shadow - missed opp lol
Awww we were there summer times we've got a friend who's got a caravan on that site we hv bein a few times detected near the castle.. it was nice to hv a ariel view of the castle and surrounding area.never bein a walk to the beach tho may be next summer ...👍
Aye you should do the beach next summer if the weather is good like this year, the castle is stunning and we were glad to be walking down that street rather than up it 😄

Just found your channel and subscribed Really enjoying looking back through your videos I’ve just retired and had caravans in the past but sold my last one before lockdown I’m now seriously looking for a camper van which I’d also use as my daily vehicle. A M/H would be too big! I’ve started looking around but my main concern is having no toilet and shower. I guess younger people overcome this problem more easily. It’s nice finding yourselves similar age I guess? I’d be interested to know how you overcome these issues particularly if wild camping? You have inspired me to go for it ! Looking forward to seeing you next adventure. Thanks Charles
Hi Charles, glad you found us, yes similar age. We use campsites most of the time and not an issue, but if wild camping we would get into a campsite every 3 days or so for showering. We have a cassette toilet but we have never used it, it takes up too much room. We just use pee bottles for no1 and a Bivvy Loo for No2. Google it. Once you get over the idea of having to poo in a bag, its fine, then drop it in a doggy bin. Its for emergencies as we nearly always find public toilets, or loos in supermarkets etc. Thanks again for the sub👍
Hi guys sorry but don’t know your names, this is a interesting blog. Like your camper van ,I hope Trish was ok after being stung by that wasp 🐝 can be dangerous,,the castle looks amazing it is amazing how they still stand after all them years, you have a lovely dog what breed is it please, the Shadow did look like you was happy to see me lol 😂,most interesting and enjoyable till next time take care keep safe, John 👏👏🍺🌹👀💃💃🐝🤷♀️🥂🇬🇧🤪🌸
Thanks John, we had a great time there, our dog Keira is a miniature Australian labradoodle. The castle was amazing and fantastic its still standing up, a bit like my shadow 🤣
It’s pronounced Gwyneth! Double dd is a th, double ff is a f, single f is a v. Y is an er and W is a very short oo. I wish I could let you hear as this might not translate properly! I’m not Welsh but I used to belong to a Welsh choir whose conductor was a well known Welsh baritone in his time. Hope that helps. Loving these videos, binge watching. ☺️
Yes that helps, we struggled a bit with the Welsh names but we had a go and often we would ask a local how to pronounce the name. Glad you are enjoying our videos 👍
Hari Om Full of sympathy for your wife there, Mike! Need to carry some Anthisan - brilliant at times like this. I guess washing your own socks was some sort of compensation. What a lovely outing overall, though and I enjoyed your lunchtime chatter. Really felt like we were at the table with you! YAM xx
I feel a bit cheated. I thought you were going to walk up the steepest street not down it. Mind I would have done the same. We've certainly added North Wales to our list for next year.
Trish I have had Very very good results by applying a very thick baking soda mixed with a wee bit of water for a thick paste on stings. So sorry I know how that hurts!
We have to give the worlds steepest street back to NZ 😂 Baldwin Street, in Dunedin, was reinstated as the world’s steepest street. Ffordd Pen Llech in Wales was given the record for the steepest in June 2019 but reviewed and given back to Baldwin st, 🤔 I believe.
Ahh a short plug chain, a common problem. I bought a pair of boots a while back and the piece of string which held them together was too short, I kept tripping up, so i had to send them back.😉 As far as the shadow goes, it is well known that Scots are prone to exaggeration.

Yes, and Midge did a good job too guarding her from any more. Harlech beach is fabulous👍
Aww wee Keira enjoyed her doggie ice cream. 😊. Another great video. Safe travels x
Thanks Kalo, yes she sure loves her doggy ice cream 🍦.
