@@sarahcook895We tried not to speak negatively about the previous tenants’ style but rather describe what the space looked like before we moved in as we were asked to do. However, our landlord’s workers did do a horrendous job (painting over a picture instead of removing it and leaving globs of dripped paint on the counter for us to clean up, splattering paint on our furniture when they used them as step stools while they painted, etc.) Any negative language used to describe their work was completely warranted and I stand by my criticism.
I'm really impressed by how much you were able DIY for this small space to make it functional! Just wondering, logistically, how did you do it? Were you building in the space or did you have a workshop you were able to go to?
@@elijahlee6265 Thank you! Great question. Some of the building was done on our balcony before we put the grass down, of course (cleaning up the saw dust would have been a nightmare!) And some of it was at my husband’s warehouse. But because of the size of our place, everything had to be assembled in our apartment.
I was coming on to say the same thing. With so many families now living in tiny houses of all kinds I’m hoping these folks find that they can stay in this place while their child is growing up. Really wonderful and creative space. Great work apartment therapy

I’m so glad to see the comments here, as a lifetime New Yorker I am blown away by this space. I love your style, and I have to say the use of space is phenomenal. I live in a studio, but I don’t do DIY projects, just decorating, creating storage and rearranging (constantly) to make things work. Kudos. The colors are beautiful, the outside space, the sweet nursery. And I think you can definitely get away with being there until you have a toddler. Normally I would say “stay in the apartment”, but I can understand it might be a bit tricky once they’re moving around! All the best. 💜

My area is very very expensive even for a 960 square ft 2 bedroom house but, I found just that with a pretty good price tag. It's move in ready, new kitchen new washer and dryer and a beautiful patio with a nice back yard. I love what this couple did with the makeshift cabinet and lace table cloth. I love that idea. In my area is a Habitat Restore and they have awesome glass cabinets and tile from over budgeting contractors who donate tons of building supplies. I think outside due to all the recent storms I would take glass out and replace it with plexiglass. I have many ideas from this couple. My nephew and his GF live in Brooklyn in a very old building I believe from the 1700s and they have limited space as well. Before I was even 2 min into this video I forwarded it to them. His GF has limited closet space for her clothes and I have a couple ideas for her. This is a great video. I live in a 610 square ft flat. I am the only one living in the 3rd floor since Dec. The rent is very high here too. The building is historically registered so other than thumb tacks and command strips nothing else is allowed so I have very little on my walls. Where I was from 2000 to 2019 my very large 1200 SQ FT apt looked like a museum and when they didn't have a one bedroom apt to show they would show mine. I had 2 walk in closets and 3 other wonderful closets. I love this show. I get super ideas all the time. I am sure now this couples baby has been born I hope all is well with them.

This home is such a cozy place, and a creative use of space. The Emily Winfield Martin books with the adorable artwork are my favorite for baby gifts. Before I even knew about this artist someone had gifted me a pack of postcards, each with a different whimsical girl on the front. I’ve sent them to my granddaughter and she keep them in her “special” drawer where she keeps all her treasures.
Love this apartment the Boho Theme is fabulous, I could easily live here! Such clever ideas throughout especially the bedroom that is fabulous way to use the space..
Can't stop thinking about your home...to have a landlord that ok'd everything..your color choices...fabrics...textures..I'm surprised that your home is not in a decorating magazine...many blessings on your baby.
Wow! Very smart and interesting solutions. It's easy to make things work in a big house, but a real genius is to make it work in a tiny space. The outside space is so cute, it doesn't feel like a balcony.
Truly an absolute creative marvel! I've never seen such a brilliant use of a small space. What a gorgeous residence. I've grown tired of seeing generic all "boho" white spaces with the standard fiddle leaf fig tree in the living room, Chinese lantern and mid century couch and framed art work on the floor. This feels so much more elevated.
I'm so impressed by this couple! Here i am building a 3000sqft house for my little family of three as I feel like we dont have enough room and they have made a piece of epic functional art in 300sqft!!

They are a gem!!!
This was so beautiful it moved me to tears, the baby is blessed they have wonderful parents.

Omg.! I love this whole apartment! It's so beautiful. I wouldn't change a thing.
Victorian core for the win. They did a great job it doesn't even feel like it's 300 sq ft.
Wow! So creative, love the colour choices and the lounge with the Juliet balcony, it's just great! Amazing storage solutions.
The creativity here is astounding!!! This is just a beautiful apartment used to it’s fullest.😍😍😍
I just keep thinking after all that transformation, what if the landlord wanted the apartment back😱.
Maximalism in a small space, so cozy, creative, beautiful and practical. I love this.
Beautiful! I love how you have utilized all of the space. The avocado green wall paint is to die for! Peace and blessings.
Wow! Very smart and interesting solutions. It's easy to make things work in a big house, but a real genius is to make it work in a tiny space. The outside space is so cute, it doesn't feel like a balcony.
You are genius with how you not only made things accommodate you but you have such wondeful style!! I am in awe of what you accomplished!!❤️👏👏🏽👏👏🏽
Wow, so creative and beautiful. The Juliet balcony takes the cake!
This is my kind of creative!
Amazing job, it's small yet mighty, and beautiful!
You guys have thought outside the box, your place is gorgeous and so creative. I’m so impressed and happy for you both
looks more like a second hand store than a home. but ofcourse its quite unique. just very very busy, there is stuff everywhere
Love the antique charme!! The colours, shapes, style! SO nice and neat! Cozy and welcoming.
Just WOW! Y'all have created an amazing place for all the good things. It's nothing less that gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your home. 😃🥰
So much whimsy and wonder I had to stop what I was doing and watch this
This is the MOST creative use of space I’ve ever seen
Truly an absolute creative marvel! I've never seen such a brilliant use of a small space. What a gorgeous residence. I've grown tired of seeing generic all "boho" white spaces with the standard fiddle leaf fig tree in the living room, Chinese lantern and mid century couch and framed art work on the floor. This feels so much more elevated.
Awww, thank you so much!!💛
This is the dreamiest, most magical apartment I have EVER seen 😍 it’s absolutely breathtaking
💛💛💛
These people need to write a book of space saving ideas. This is awesome.
I'm so impressed by this couple! Here i am building a 3000sqft house for my little family of three as I feel like we dont have enough room and they have made a piece of epic functional art in 300sqft!!
THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! Ingenious, charming, interesting and so organized and neat too! Well done!
This was absolutely incredible!! Such an inspiring couple. I would hire Amanda in a heartbeat to help decorate a small space...such great sense
