Agreed totally. I have an EDC philosophy that took me about a year and a little bit of needless spending to realize. Now that I have, however, I value those tools more than ever. I stopped picking up gear for gear sake and really evaluated what tasks I confront on a daily basis and what I truly need to compete them. The result is a streamlined EDC that works perfectly (for me of course). Thanks as always for bringing up this topic and starting a needed conversation. Carry on.
Thank you! A lot of these videos are "everybody needs" vs what do YOU need? and that is not the eight way to approach it at all. Need what you carry, carry what you need. That should always be a person's priority.

Everyone should carry exactly the same things that I do. That way if I forget something, I know someone else will have it! 😆🤣
Yes, it's a personal issue, however as you displayed in the video the core remains a light, knife and multitool for most of us.

100% Yes, and at the extreme of personalization then we have modifications to gear and even making some items from scratch, which is what I aspire to.
