And to help the parents get over their fear! I already heard them putting their fear on a sandbox or motorcycle for the youngest. It could have beena bull or cow that ran him over, kicked him or gored him just as easily. This is a lesson in managing fear. I wish I could send this to them. I know it's horrible when they crash or get hurt. My fear stopped my kids from getting to love horses like me because I had one kick my 3 year old in the face. Now they don't even care to try and pursue them because I held them away, they are all teenagers now.

I'm so glad to see Jonah doing better! Your parents are right about setting goals. It helps the time pass with a purpose. I know it feels like life is on pause and cabin fever can drive you crazy. The truth is, in our lifetime we don't get many opportunities like this. Life is busy. You know it. This time you have as you heal can be a great gift if you use it wisely. Is there something that you have been wanting to learn to do? A craft or skill you've been thinking about learning? This time of stillness doesn't happen very often in life. Anyway, just saying. Many prayers for you all. Glad you are on the mend.

I'm old. I remember a football player, Rosie Greer (sp?) Who used to do needlepoint to help himself think and relax. He did beautiful work!!
Knitting originated from the sea fairing men who used knitting to keep their hands nimble in the off season so they could mend as well as make new nets for their fishing boats. That's where the fair Isle sweaters came from.

You can get me a sandbox or a motorbike - Oh Lord please give me strength. I can just about see your boys all grown up on their dirt bikes, racing off to move stock, fences, etc... It's a good thing, praying they keep their wits about them where safety is concerned. I always had my heart in my throat when my hubby took off on his Harley Davidson, but he wasn't an idiot on that thing. Military taught him when to go for it and when to listen to the signs around him.
The most important part is learning the environment, the way the land falls, how it changes in the wet etc and to monitor your speed and movements by those environmental changes.
In any case it's wonderful to see Jonah up and about and Josiah and Lily are doing a spectacular job! I love their kindness, they're so helpful and so willing to do the extra work for the family even though it looks difficult at times, they're growing from the inside and that's beautiful to witness. Xx

Ligaments and tendons are inflamed and take time to heal. All of those get stretched with a dis-location and they pull against the injured joint. Also the SI-joint is in that area and it gets dis-placed from the injured ligaments pulling. Get better Jonah!! And to help the parents get over their fear! I already heard them putting their fear on the youngest about a sandbox or motorcycle for the youngest. It could have been a bull or cow that ran him over, kicked him or gored him just as easily. Woyld they stop raising them? This is a lesson in managing fear. I wish I could send this to them. I know it's horrible when they crash or get hurt. My fear stopped my kids from getting to love horses like me because I had one kick my 3 year old in the face. Now they don't even care to try and pursue them because I held them away, they are all teenagers now. Dotn give into fear

Quick maths tip, if you have a gap when connecting the two ends of your fence, multiply the width of that gap by 2 and that's the distance from one of the corners of the fence you need to start to go diagonal.
So, for a 5ft gap, take go 10ft away from the corner and start going diagonally. You'll have plenty of margin of error.

A relative of mine is a physician who works in a hospital system. He told me that the medical personnel sometimes refer to motorcycles as "donorcycles". That's because they see so many serious accidents associated with motorcycles.

I’m disabled and one thing that helps me when my healths bad is doing stuff I like. What does Jonah like to do? A lot of active stuff can be made so it can be done sitting down. I like agility dog training so I learn how to train my dog using videos and do what I learn once I’m better

Dirt bike 🚴 culture. The struggle is real. I’m with Mom, go kart!!🤣🤣But, once you’ve been on a dirt bike 🚴, there’s nothing like it. I’ll be praying for you all. So good to see Jonah feeling better.

Yes seeing Jonah smile just made my day he has always been a real go getter to get things done . When is he going to be able to put weight on that hip he is going to have to build the muscle back up in that leg . It is so wonderful seeing everyone come together to get the chores Jonah did done by the other kids .

I have not watched for a while. I was scrolling through my list of subscriptions and when I saw 'Justin Rhoades' I felt that I had to catch up. I was so surprised to see the videos of Jonah's injury. I'm glad things are getting better for him. Tell him some guy from Nebraska is wishing him (and your family) well! Take care and God bless.

The safety equipment is very important to dirt bikes. My husband and my son both road the bikes in the months that they could and winter the bikes where in the garage with both working on them. This was a huge bonding for both of them and they learned how to work on the small
Engines also. My son was 10
When this started and he is now 30 and still loves the bikes and working on them.

If you get a sand box, get some landscape shading to peg down over it when Morin use. It will keep the cats out. When we bought our last house there was a little putting green in the back yard with a sand trap. All the neighbor kids spent hours and hours in it. They were really good to cover it at the end of the day.

We used to put fencing on the ground in our large dog pen to prevent our dogs from digging out while still letting grass through. They were only in the pen overnight and it was at least 200 square feet but they would dig out if we didn't stop them lol.
