Hi Jason, Brooke, and Mary Carl. Have a great day. At 74, I sure understand limiting yourself. Each year I have limited so many things even in my house I have downsized gotten rid of so much stuff. I need to tackle closets I have been avoiding that at all cost.

I vote on the curved path to the greenhouse. Green is better than brown. Then you could always do a small flower bed in front of the greenhouse later....much later. Remember, Rome was not build in a day. LOL
Moody is such a good boyfriend for Mildred. He loves on her and stays close to her most of the time. It's obvious that he really likes her, and she really likes him too.

I'm such a wimp. It brings tears to my eyes every time you all rescue something and take care of it. Oh boy, the tears are rolling down my face and neck as I type.

I had a sweet cat named Candy. She got very old and her kidney's were failing. We gave her fluids daily. One day she walked into the door frame. I new something was wrong. So i started Googling. I read that high blood pressure could cause blindness. If caught early it may be refused. I ran her to the vet. Sure enough it was her blood pressure. She got meds and by that night her vision was back. 🤗
My sweet Candy is not with us anymore. She was 15 when i had to put her to sleep. I pray Snow White will be the same way. 🙏

Sad she experienced trauma. I think you will be happier making your work area smaller. Your farm is beautiful and makes y'all and the animals happy.
the fact that Mildred does not stank like Joe is more than comforting for Moody - he appreciates a cute girl to share his space with. love that Snow White's journey led her to Cog Hill Farm.

Jason, I’m with you. The pathway to the green house is enough. You have so much on your plate that it is a wise decision to downsize for sure! As for Snow White, I am praying for restoration of her eye sight. Have you and Brooke considered giving her a bath as she is so dirty and it might make her just feel better, after all the care is done to help her and she settles down a bit. Looking forward to what ever you both do with her. She has a wonderful home now.
Jason, get another igloo cooler but no moisture to put your coffee in. It will stay dry in the cooler. Thank goodness you are seeing things in a sensible manner about cutting back on your projects. You will have time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. You and Brooke need to be realistic and accepting of life and living according to nature's progression. We won't live forever. Enjoy and appreciate what you have. Keep it simple. 🌿💛🌿
One thing to consider is growing stuff that pretty much grows itself: herbs and native flowers, stuff that is sometimes thought of as weeds, but are edible, and good for the soil, and stuff that replants itself.
Many flowers are edible - roses, dandelions, nasturtiums, purslane, and many others. Several are good savory and dessert, while others would be one or the other.
@@marshabevis3768 I know that I prefer putting chive blossoms in salad rather than onions, and the blooms of basil makes a superior pesto. Since you have to remove the flowers from basil to keep it growing, because it dies back as soon as it goes to seed, you might as well use those flowers.
That's great the vet could get her in and let you know about her eye. Jason, whatever you decide to do with the garden will be terrific.

Jason my mom told us the older you get the longer it take you to accomplish what you did in your 30s and 40s. So if it takes 1 day it will take you 3 so I think your 3rd option sounds great. I’m known I’m 75 and it is true.

Jason, I agree with Brooke, it's your garden, you will figure it out, HOWEVER, since you asked. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY......start downsizing now!!! I am older, I know. Things can happen to you as you start to age, things you have basically no control over. So try to keep your life and work and chores within your bodies limits. You can have the most beautiful gardens ever, but if they're too big for you to adequately control and take care of, then it becomes a stressful situation instead of something you love to do. Downsize where ever you can, as somethings cannot be downsized. Love your family and all of your animals and videos. Many blessings and much love from Michigan...💗

Jason, I absolutely love the 3rd idea for your project. I think it will be lovely and I think the pathway idea is adorable! And it will be so much easier on you. I am 50 and one thing I am learning is things don't get harder and harder to do. My brain feels 20 years old. My body sometimes feels 80 years. 😂

As we age we think of what we can accomplish. If I were in your position,I would consider making those beautiful garden beds taller so they will be more comfortable to work in. Just my opinion as having Arthritis and knee replacement.Stay cool, it’s 98 today in Leesville,South Carolina 🔥🔥😎🙏
