Nice video but in a video like this, please always add a link to the supplier to all the parts that are exchanged. Also add a note about the tools that are necessary for the job. Once again, a very nice video!
I have a 2010 mercedes e350 with the same transmission. When turning at low speeds lets say a parking lot, it feels like the clutch disks in the transfer case are sticking and the car feels like a truck in 4low. Does this mean there is an issue with the planetary gear?
So glad you made this video. I own a 2020 AMG GT63S & the dealer just voided my warranty due to my power upgrades at about 7500 miles. Thats all fine but the quote was $13,500 to fix the stock unit. My question is. Do you know of an upgrade option for a stronger transfer case? My car currently has a little over 700whp & we have a 1000whp goal for a race event come March 2022. Any advice?
I do not know an upgrade option for this late model vehicle. Normally we rebuild for stock applications however those will include some high performance BMW, Porsche, and Mercedes. OEM parts are usually the cheapest and easiest to get.
This transfer case is just "the place where front and rear axle meet" ? Cause it looks extreamly small, and no multiclutch plates (Haldex or Torsten diff) can be seen... This means "brain" of the transfer is INSIDE the GEAR box ?
Hello sir, very informative video. I'm having a problem with my car's transfer case. I don't know yet where the rambling is coming from but I soon will know if it's one of these bearings. I do want to ask, could you provide a link in where to get these parts, I appreciate the help that you.

@@Strash.P thanks, bro! Sounds like you didnt have to remove the tranny, just the Transfer case. Normal high temp gasket maker to seal? Any other tips? Will attempt this if i can get comfortable doing this myself.
@@segunoladunjoye2610 Hey, you don't need part number as Mercedes does not offer them. :) I ended up purchasing them from Timken (manufacturer of bearings) which actually are used by Mercedes. You can check on Ebay for the correct ones for the transfer case.
Why are you talking about the same thing at the end when you said that's exactly what you did already? I don't get it. Why would you have to beat on them if they already set when you froze the races?

Mine has a leak! Can both parts be removed easily after the output shaft nut is removed?
Yes. With the transmission on the bench.
Did you resolve this? Mine seems to have a very slow leak…
@@lukman8400 Yes, I did. Just swap the seal. Seems like that seal is a common failure
