Just picked mine up today and took it to the Range. 200 rounds later it is my favorite pistol and I have more than a few. Great trigger ,fit and finish on par with a Dan Wesson, racking the slide is like ball bearing type smoothness that locks up tighter than a bank vault.. This is truly American art.Every little thing about it screams quality.

Sorry Jay but the kudos go to the Swiss for making this unit what it is , The art has been copied by the American manufacturer. They cannot claim the excellence .
why the hell didn't he show the gun! He kept his hand over half the gun at all times! They couldn't have some separate shots showing both sides of the gun in detail? The director has to learn a few things about featuring the product!

I began watching this video considering it as a possible replacement to my CZ tactical sport for competition shooting, but when he got to the eight-round magazine it felt like a cartoon stop! with screeching to a stop and all. while I understand the original came that way, that's the reason I don't use my 1911 for competition shooting (i use it one some however). unless using mandatory reloads as part of the course it takes time for each reload. and time (and accuracy) is everything.
if I can save the money this is definitely in the running as most-wanted-pistol (I finally got my other dream pistol the HKP30L for $600 new the other day, couldn't believe it. anyway....) been wanting a P210 forever and as cool as it wold be to have an original P210 the new ones SIG is making seem to be as well-made (thank fuck). The grips on this MIGHT even beat the HK P30L which would be crazy.,
Please announce a Super Target, or a Super Standard with 6" barrel. Have a home built 1911 in 9mm with 6"barrel and long slide, and I am curious to compare them for accuracy and all around feel. Was a Marine Infantry Officer in Vietnam for 3 years and carried an old loose, terribly not accurate 1911, and had to use it against humans. Did not like the gun and ended up carrying a Ruger Single Action Blackhawk in .357 Magnum. Because of the improvements to the 1911 modern day I do now have modified my view on the 1911. But, think perhaps the Super Target Sig P-210 might be a step up in technology. Just want to find out for myself please offer the 6" long slide version before I get too old to enjoy and play with it.
That's just absurd. The only competition where you can use these short magazines is Steel Challenge. Any other match aside from 2-gun requires a double stack.
what i d like to know is does the us mags fit the P210 made in Germany ?why is the barrel black when the German version is polished???.and is the finish the same as the German made p210?Finally will there be a side by side comparison on the us made compared to the German made P210?
Can´t tell you about the mag but the barrel locking is different from the German made. In my own SWISS-ARMS 210 6" the lock is std. browning locking. The U.S version is modified Browning just like Glock´s got.
People should consider stuff like safety and how quality affects it. Guns like p210 have hair triggers, that safety must be at top level for the whole life of the gun. And let me tell you Sig Sauers have a loong life. For target shooting, that changing of mags and constant draw are taking their toll on the gun. Also maintanence is important. I wounder of all guns from this class, which one loses performance with bad maintanence? Looking forward to own P210 in the future.
Don't get me wrong I love my CZ's. I must or I wouldn't have 6 or 7 hanging around but to me the feel and balance award for me goes to the 210. I will say I have never handled a Cz Shadow 2 so I might need to try one of those as well. I do agree the higher capacity of the Cz is nice but I am loving this Sig.

Glad to hear positive thoughts on the P210, makes my decision a little more difficult. The Shadow 2 is a great pistol, I encourage everyone to at least hold one. I am a big fan of CZ so I am a bit biased.
Well good luck with that Kyle. The one thing when you know when you talk about buying those two guns is no matter how you choose you can't go wrong. Dan Wesson to me in general is the best value out there when you go with price combined with quality. Let me make your decision a bit more difficult, Dan Wesson is discontinuing their Valkyrie. One big outfitter on GB is clearancing them at 1199.00. I have one and may buy another. My opinion the best bargain out there in a quality 1911.

We use 5 rounds in a magazine, times 2, to shoot Bullseye. It’s a target pistol, not a race pistol.

I like Sig but the CZ Shadow 2 is better in every way.
Not sure how you came up with that. I have a Cz Shadow Target and I prefer this Sig to it by a long shot.
Jay T weight, balance, capacity, price, and DA/SA were attributes of the Shadow 2 that came to mind. Sig makes a great gun as well.
