Great video - can never have too many ranunculus. Can't wait to see them. Couple questions for you regarding timing....when is your last frost date? You mentioned that you will put ranunculus under one of those mini hoops, roughly what date will you be doing that? I have hoops set up like that and am trying to get my ranunculus out earlier this year, but not 100% sure on the timing yet. I know it all depends on weather, but curious what you're general timing looks like. Thanks!
My last frost date is usually early to mid May. We still haven't started the successions that will directly outdoors. The first succession you saw will go into our heated mini hoop house, and then the next successions will go in unheated low tunnels in early March. Ranunculus can handle a little cold. Mine are always all in by mid-April. If temps dip down, we just throw some frost cloth on them.
@@greenbeefloralco This is perfect and jives with what I had planned on doing. It's just really nice to see a similar setup and confirm timing! Excited to see all of your lovely varieties! Thanks again!
We order wholesale quantities from VanNoort Bulbs and Unicorn Blooms here in Canada. If you’re a gardener in Canada, I believe Dahlia May Flower Farm has corms available through their farm shop right now.
I really don't think there is every such a thing as too many flowers 😀😀😀😀-Cara
