I used to think the Grand temple was a large ancient library built by "those who came before." Then after AC 3 turns out to be a bloody prison instead. ALSO I didn't understand why Selim killed his brother. I thought maybe because of what his Templar brother was doing prior to his death. Turns out its a royal fratricide where a son of the Sultan appointed as the successor would kill their brothers to avoid civil wars.
