      Radyachman Radyan I kinda feel bad for him. He was an a**hole, but his sister was a creep that killed her husbands and had sex with him, his mother was dead and Rodrigo was crazy strict and overall a shitty person. Both Lucrezia and Rodrigo are stubborn and idiots that never listen to him. I don’t want to know what happens in the Borgia household.

      And then César did the stupid thing of annoying Ezio “fucking badass” Auditore. Then Ezio went to Rome, rebuilt the Brotherhood of Assassins as deadly as himself, he became the Mentor and a legend among legends. And he got better weapons, he owned most of the shops in Rome, he tore down all the Borgia towers. Didn't he really learn from his father's mistakes? Rodrigo screwed Ezio's life and after that one man became the biggest threat to the Templars in Italy.

    • @truerespect4247
      @truerespect4247 4 ปีที่แล้ว +124

      @@SevereArtisan Exactly after the events of the second game, Rodrigo pretty much just wanted the Italian templars to survive and keep what little power they had, attacking the assassin's at monteriggioni was something he was against and warned about, and he was right, Ezio came to rome after and destroyed them, also interesting is that Cesare wasn't really a true templar just using them and the papacy for money and armies to fulfill his personal conquest of italy.
      And Rodrigo was right the templars would eventually take back power in italy from the assassin's in the coming centuries, like Haytham once said 'We require no creed, no indoctrination by old men, all we nees is the world be as it is, and that's why the templars will never be destroyed'

      @samalvey8168 3 ปีที่แล้ว +55

      The Assassins had proved that they were capable of utterly annihilating the Templars if sufficiently motivated, despite lacking the numbers and influence. Ezio sparing Rodrigo was a warning not to cross the Assassins or step out of line and Rodrigo understood that. Cesare attacking Monteriggioni was the absolute last thing he should have done because not only did it fail to kill Ezio and most of the Assassin Order, it prompted them to engage in a roaring rampage of revenge. Never, ever piss off the Assassins to the extent that they make it personal.

    though out brotherhood you think Rodrigo sent Ceasare and the army to attack Monteriggioni as a way of getting even for Ezio beating him in the vault
    its only towards the end of the game you realise Rodrigo accepted the gift of life when Ezio spared him and wanted to leave the Assassins alone

      I always got the impression as the game went on that Rodrigo might have been rooting for Ezio. Their fight in the Vault made him realize that everything he had done the previous 30 or so years was based on a lie. And he was content at that point to live out the time Ezio had given him. I think in some way, Ezio had forgiven Rodrigo, and the two had an unspoken agreement not to fuck with one another. Cesare ruined that. His brashness made Ezio return.
      I like to think that a lot of the intel that Machiavelli passed on to Ezio was intel received from Rodrigo.
