    Excellent video by mom and daughter 👏👏👏👏. I’ve never heard of this before and I’m old. I’ve led a sheltered life 😂

      That's ok. I never knew about it either until I moved here a few years back! (Don't feel too bad) ! Lily is prescious and such a little herbalist in the making!
      Love passing down the knowledge to her

    Awesome video ! So many uses out in mother nature & nice you could share some of your methods, Teaching our children what we can so hopefully they can teach the next generation ! health choices & lots of fire starter :)

      I completely agree. Thank you. I feel like this information gets suppressed and not promoted like it should be! I feel fortunate to be able to share and spread the word on natural remedies.
      We use them for 100% of our sicknesses.
      We do not visit doctors, we heal ourselves with herbs and plants.
      This is how it used to be...and I love teaching our kids the " old fashioned " ways !😊

      @@Alaskan6pack yay I hoped you would. I got me a book with all kinds of herbs and photos of the herbs and what they are good for. Found it at a library sale after I had been researching. With a plan to grow me a herb garden. I was wanting a book for reference . I know we have access to the modern way to get information. But still good to have books in my opinion for reference in a s h t f moment.

    I make a lot of Devils Club Salve. "Always, always" dry the product before bottling it for an infusion. If it is wet there is a potential to mold. If it molds you will have to throw away the infusion and start with a new batch. There is always water in the bark so it needs to dry out first and have no water. Same as for tinctures you should dry that product first to so there is no water in it. Dry the product by hanging it up for a week or so or dry it in a dehydrator. Be safe.

      Amazingly no spoilage! I have done the same with spruce tips and birch bark, never any spoil...( yet).
      Today I just made a huge batch of spruce tip salve. The spruce tips were sitting in oil for 5 months, no mold.
      It smelled amazing too!...😊

    Why is the state requiring you to clear 16 acres? Do you have a video explaining this?

    • @Alaskan6pack
      @Alaskan6pack  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Greetings! Yes we do talk about this through multiple videos. It's state agricultural land, so it's a requirement for the state. They require you clear 10% of your land for ag purposes.
      We have 2 more years to meet this requirement. We knew this when we bought the land. We are trying to meet the requirements other creative ways such as birch tapping, fencing hogs, etc...so we don't have cut down so many trees.
