I will never forget when I first heard this song. My fiancé and I had just moved from Des Moines to Minneapolis in 1993. Minneapolis was a whole new world for us. Like nothing we had ever experienced. We were walking around Calhoun Square and stopped into some clothing store. They were playing this CD and were selling it for 9 dollars. Best money I every spent. Now my son is living not far from Up Town after graduating from the University of Minnesota. Sometimes life doesn’t move too far
Mary Tyler Moore moved there in 1970 but she only lasted seven years. 😉😉 Congrats on 27 years! When I made my last move in '95 it was the Jagged Little Pill album. It's cool how we can remember certain periods in our lives by music. 🙂🙂 Greetings from Maine. 👋
Back when Calhoun Square had stores! Uptown was awesome back then. I don’t recall how I discovered BT, but I bought Big Red Letter Day back n 93 and it’s been in my musical rotation ever since.
Born at HCMC, lived in Uptown, Dinky town, Robbinsdale, New Hope...worked in Roseville, Maple Grove, Crystal...also went to the U....left in '97, been in DC since, but your comment took me right back up there, 24 years and a million miles.
I would ask how it is that I’ve never heard this before today but then I look back at the past year and realize it wouldn’t mean what it does now. I wish it didn’t but life. Whatever. Amazing song!
Last week my wife took me to see this band and my jaw dropped ,how fucking awesome they are and their lyrics are spot on...i heard of them before in the 90's...they played in boston at the paradise rock club and it was one of the best concerts I've been to...buffalo tom is a gift of life..
So underrated. I've grown out of some bands & sounds over the years, but very few stand the test of time. Still love them after all this time! Ohhhhh the memories!
It's obviously been years. But, I keep coming back to listen to this band. I was living in Byron Bay Australia when my mates played their music to me 1995. I remember Nirvana, Screaming Trees, Spider Bait, Def fx, and these guys with " Enemy". Faith No More etc I keep going through all their songs and keep adding them to my favourites on Spotify. I hope they are doing well in Life. They deserve it !
Watch an eyeball Take a free fall At the mention of a name In its socket And like a rocket Rises just the same But could my eyelids Cover what I did The shuttin of the door And could these ceilings Contain my feelings Me down on the floor Jerked my fountain Ice cream mountains I suppose I'm just too late Form a line here I think I'll die here These people nauseate me But if my patience Were a spaceship High up in orbit Then I would rise here Hypnotized here Risen from where I sit A solid angle My legs do dangle Off the counter's edge Soft words spoken Promises broken Close my eyes instead But could my eyelids Cover what I did The shuttin of the door And could these ceilings Contain my feelings Me down on the floor Me down on the floor Me down on the floor Me down on the floor
Totally agree with all the comments about this band .. best band nobody ever heard of and I wanted to keep it that way too! Let Me Come Over is a diamond made out of music.
it is amazing to relive the 90's with the music of Buffalo Tom. This powerful song can stir emotion and mind to some high and stays there. Such a wonderful feeling to be young again, even just for a few moment. thanks BT.
+Timothy Pane Surprisingly, NIKE used this song and the beginning from "Tree House" for a commercial long time ago, years after Big Red Letter Day was released, so I think a lot of people know Buffalo Tom after that.
Jon Stewart tried. When he had them on his brief late night show post MTV he paraphrased John Landau on Bruce Springsteen saying "I've seen the future of rock and roll and it's Buffalo Tom."
I'm torn because in my youth I didn't want people to know about Buffalo Tom because they would ruin it...but now I think it's a shame not enough people DO know about this sublime band.
There was a time. The janitor pose is a poke at Nirvana, young ones. I loved this band, but they sound an awful an like some band out of North Georgia, around that time., one of which was. getting. huge. Their sound didn't evolve, much, I have three of their CDs in a box, with all my other CDs, alas; there was a time.
Great band. You know, in a sense I like the fact that we hard-core fans are so few...
if ya know,... ya know!!! so much love for this band.
"Big red letter day" turned 30. One of my fave rock records.
Thanks, KCDX, for introducing me to BT! Great tune...

Love this, haven't heard it in awhile.

Ah, the Paradise..
You have a cool wife!
Saw them at Memorial Hall in KCK back in early '94. Wow, they were just outstanding!
best song of buffalo tom with a great guitarsound
So underrated. I've grown out of some bands & sounds over the years, but very few stand the test of time. Still love them after all this time! Ohhhhh the memories!
Ditto...
And their stuff is consistently good -so many great songs.
This song perfectly captures the feeling of being a teenager in summer.
Great band. Loved them. Saw em at Memorial Hall KCK. Circa 1990 ?
Very Loud !
Big Red Letter Day was a great CD.
You got that right brother!
It's obviously been years.
But, I keep coming back to listen to this band.

They deserve it !
me too mate. Im 46 from Melbourne. Listened to them in late high School (93/94). Still love 'em. An amazing time to be alive in music history
The 1st track of the album and starts rocking from the start. Beautiful song and the pain of the person's life
Similar to the Replacements 😊❤️🎶🎼
This band slipped thru the cracks for me in the '90s but glad I found them now right before the '20s begin.
Easily their best song
Love this band. Summer and Larry are their 2 faves of mine.
great band, skate days!! 40 years old now, wish I cod return to those days! only in heaven when we die can we all be together!!!!!
Watch an eyeball
Take a free fall
At the mention of a name
In its socket
And like a rocket
Rises just the same
But could my eyelids
Cover what I did
The shuttin of the door
And could these ceilings
Contain my feelings
Me down on the floor
Jerked my fountain
Ice cream mountains
I suppose I'm just too late
Form a line here
I think I'll die here
These people nauseate me
But if my patience
Were a spaceship
High up in orbit
Then I would rise here
Hypnotized here
Risen from where I sit
A solid angle
My legs do dangle
Off the counter's edge
Soft words spoken
Promises broken
Close my eyes instead
But could my eyelids
Cover what I did
The shuttin of the door
And could these ceilings
Contain my feelings
Me down on the floor
Me down on the floor
Me down on the floor
Me down on the floor

411 skate video, about twenty five years ago...still great band!!!! Me 43 now... memories!
best band nobody knows but the chosen few
+Timothy Pane Surprisingly, NIKE used this song and the beginning from "Tree House" for a commercial long time ago, years after Big Red Letter Day was released, so I think a lot of people know Buffalo Tom after that.
Nice!
The chorus was used in a Cadillac commercial.
Jon Stewart tried. When he had them on his brief late night show post MTV he paraphrased John Landau on Bruce Springsteen saying "I've seen the future of rock and roll and it's Buffalo Tom."
Tail lights fade was my introduction to this three piece band...it was on from there.
Saw them open for YLT and My Bloody Valentine. Top 5 best live show I have ever attended.
Great band they always rocked i loved this album...
Why did some of the best bands never get the recognition they deserve??
Lost treasures give the most pleasure.
because they suck
Unfair world my friend, unfair world!
Time moved on.
Commerce.
The Dino Jr/REM axis perfected
😆. True clearer.
I love this band.
There the best of 90s band top ten
I'm torn because in my youth I didn't want people to know about Buffalo Tom because they would ruin it...but now I think it's a shame not enough people DO know about this sublime band.
We all have been stupid kids, no problem.
Totally the same
