Yeah its giving me major Spring vibes too, can't wait to see how Nico and Ichicho defeat Lan expecting something both crazy and emotional, and its so refreshing to see Fuuko not be a quest participant for once, Nico about to show why he is the unions longest serving member
101st Nico is genuinely one of my favourite characters. It's crazy that he got no real time to be fleshed out prior to his 100th loop backstory, but Fuuko trying to keep his power from manifesting was really engaging. I swear the moment Nico asks Language about souls and letting Fuuko know that everyone she knows now are fundamentally the same people she met in the 100th loop nearly made me cry. He didn't let his past self's sins change him, he truly weaponised Unforgettable in a way that benefits his friends without being shackled by that knowledge. 101st Nico is peak
Nico greatest feat was solo handling UMA Language that was 10 master rules And the latest chapter in 101th loop Nico and Ichico is participating neutralization of UMA Language without having unforgettable this time Even though it kinda bad but I still want Nico get unforgettable in this loop
Its so great we getting some more Nico focus in the coming chapters, I'm sure he will get Unforgettable again but I imagine a bit like with Untell and Unstoppable his perception of the rule will make it a far less tragic ability than in loop 100
@@Vykk I mean they already gonna knew about all past loops anyway once they use the artifact remember So yeah but idk that one since the logic is once Nico got Unforgettable he can't forget anything that gonna happened the moment it got manifest so even if Nico aware about the loop I don't think Unforgettable gonna give him access to his previous loop memory since it just got manifest at that moment
@@Vykk but I get your point maybe Nico at this loop have different understanding about Unforgettable that make Unforgettable manage to access memories from previous Nico that got Unforgettable or idk
i love when fiction fiddle with the idea of unending memory/ the ability to not forget/ anything related to memories where other people dont know about. Undead Unluck and Rezero played with this concept masterfully and frankly its probably one of the best horror element that can effectively put me in a depressive state. sad that not many games uses this idea more often, instead we're getting horror mascots after horror mascots. now I'm waiting for someone to do a version of this trope but with reincarnation, but instead what if you remember all your past lifetimes, all the times you became a different person/animal/plant/planet? how would it change someone, and how dreadful it would be to know that once your life ended, you'll start the cycle again.
Im currently reading a web novel that's like this,a little sad nobodies translating it. It's an isekai but the power system is base on remembering your past lives and experiencing it the more you dig deeper the stronger you are but there's some cases where they get depressed because of what they discovered on their past lives.
something i realised that nico hold his mouth in a smile. its a two in one thematically he tries to see the good in things but cant because its forced. second being that he wants numb the emotional pain by using physical pain.
An Undead Unluck analysis, a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Like really This manga/anime IS so good it is really appreciated to get more recognition
To further dive into how Unforget is in terms of memory let me give you a scenario. Nico walks into a forest with a path and a floating timer thats constantly in his field of vision. He is told to walk fifty feet into the forest at a stead pace and once he hits the fifty foot mark he makes a sharp left turn and walks another thirty feet before he is airlifted out via helicopter. Now. Nico will tell every detail that he saw, heard, smelled and felt his entire time in the forest. He will tell you how many clouds were in the sky. What time he heard the sounds of various creatures. Even how many steps he took and at which angle his feet were at when he stepped. Everything that Nico can see will be saved perfectly into his brain as if his mind is taking an actual picture and storing it into a flash drive. Its perfect memory on a level so high that we cant even comprehend it. Nico can see something once. And every detail of that item is now part of his memory. You put this dude into a magic based world and hed be one of the strongest mages in existence. Be he will know every spell that ever is or was. And will have countermeasures for all of it.
great analysis, now that the UMA Language arc is done in manga (spoilers btw), I have to say Nico may be one of the most powerful/useful negators out there, as he was able to use his soul and unforgettable to keep every memory he took when touching apocalypse making him knowledgeable on pretty much everything there is to know about anything.
Him and Senku are my favorite scientists in the modern age of anime. The trope of the cruel and psychotic brilliant mad scientist is always a welcome one. But it gets old after a while. When you first look at Nico(and don't even lie) psycho usually comes to mind. Like you don't expect this guy to be reasonable let alone sane. But. He is. Loving husband. Father. Benefactor. Hell he built a majority of the devices the Union uses including Tops Unstoppable Armor and Tatianas shell. I still wonder how he did the cranial plugs in his head but we probably gonna find out later in the manga.🤣🤣 In a way, Nico is basically Mayuri Kurosutchi if he ever had a benevolent mindset. I mean, he willingly accepted Andy's request to do everything he could to kill him. Most people would just jump at it without consent. Also he looks pretty damn good for being over Fifty am I right?
So agree, man like most of the character in the series shows that depsite apperances everyone deep down has their own reasons and tragedies that shaped them into the people they are today
@@SephTheSin I think what I like about Nico is that the last thing you associate him with is "a good person" or a "loving husband" just by looking at him. He may not show it but he really does love his family. And that's goes for the other Negators. They're all good people. But as of the latest chapters. I do wonder why these abilities always manifest in tragedies. It doesn't make any sense to me.
@furionmax7824 Juiz states during Top's backstory that God selects the most tragic possible moment for a certain individual to receive a negator ability and then gives it to them. It's part of his game

There is a saying that one doesn't truly die until their memory fades, until their name and legacy has been forgotten. Although its just a manga/anime a part of me wishes there is an alternate universe or story where Andy is able to help Nico by somehow negating the dying memories or hell at least one where Nico gets the unforgetable powers sometime before his wife's deathbed. But hey, that's tragedy for ya.
1:44 as a german i have to add something to this. the german word "geil" isnt only used in the context of horny but also more often in the same context as "cool". also "vor-" basically would mean in a context of "vor-geil" as something like "prehorny" aka being horny before the actual situation that would make one horny in the first place which i find hilarious
I am very curious about how Mico is going to be in the 101st loop She is technically the reason Ichico died (though I'm sure they'll think of something to make sure she delivers her safely) and with Nico being generally more stable this loop, we'll hopefully see some sweet father daughter moments!
Yeah wouldn't surpise me if an artifact like life is strange or something was somehow used to speed up Micos birth so it happens in stoyr otherwise may sadly just be an epilogue type thing
I mean, didn't they say something about Ichico not going to live long because of her negation ability? (Which was fixed with the Soul thing of Uma Ghost but still) Perhaps the reason why she died after giving birth was because It asked too much of her already tired body. Given that, now in the 101 loop she should be able to have Mico safely.
I appreciate the like, but yeah I get ya, given how insane the twists and turns of this story are I do not blame you at all for wanting to avoid spoilers
She died during childbirth because of unsleep, the strain of her body from childbirth was too much on her body that was weakened due to not ever being able to sleep, she would have died from unsleep eventually anyway but Micos birth was the final nail in the coffin, so yeah it’s a combination of both
@@neeluchaubey8258 With Unsleep you do still fall asleep. But it only for minutes at most before Unsleep forces you back awake. So technically she was running on minutes of sleep for well over a year. We can assume that certain parts of Negator abilities let them somewhat adapt to their new conditions enough to barely survive. So she could have went on longer, but childbirth was too physically taxing on an already weak body.
