Thank you. I pay $177/mo for online service info., and it didn't show how to take the shift knob off. 2MM allen wrench and came right out. Pro tip tho: 1) the OD wire? The connector can be easily accessed under the cup holder. Still a pain tho. 2) Since your in it to win it, take a coffee maker, run about 4 cups thru it to get it hot, then slowly pour over the shift mechanisms at the bottom. Client spilled a slurpee and her shift cover was missing the center part so it poured down on the shift pivot points and was preventing the key from releasing when cold and shifting was very 'stiff'. I poured hot water and wala, right as rain.
Thank you so much. Thats exactly what my problem was. The green wire got so hot that the sheathing burned partially off. I cleaned the contacts, left battery connected, what's a few tiny sparks, right? And whala, all is fine now. Great tip. Glad you overcame the problem.
I switch mines a little bought a momo shifter knob a shifter boot cover and voila it looks decent like a manual just added a switch on the side for the o/d button
It might be something with the button in the shifter. I ran into that problem, and I had to push down on the shift knob to make sure that it is fully pressing the button to be able to go through the gears.

I broke the yellow plastic guide shown at 19:52. How I swap that out with a new one?

And no check engine light is on

It's a cable on the break pedal that snaps and you can't go anywhere but park
