My husband and I are in Salem right now! We have been on a two week trip and spent time in Sleepy Hollow area and came to Salem for approx 3 nights...home tomorrow. It has been fun to celebrate Halloween on the road and see these historical places along the way. Thank you for sharing the city with all of us tourists..

Wish my downtown did something like this (minus the unity garbage - theres enough of that on other holidays. Wish they'd keep Halloween apolitical). We do have a haunted trail in the forest but it's too scary for kids. There's a kid friendly trick or treat trail but I still wish that my town had more spooky family friendly events! Thanks for sharing the parade with us! And I love the star eyeliner!!

Parades outside of New Orleans always seem so awkward to me. No one is throwing anything, you’re not trading drinks with the person you just met and absolutely no one is twerking?!? I wouldn’t even know what to do 😂 and like you’ve been saying, the parade could be so much more spooky. Who’s is charge here?!? We need MORE Halloween, especially in Salem!!! I loved seeing Salem done up with decor and the parade was really good! I really loved the ghost busters old Cadillac hearse and the kids dancing dressed up like Wednesday Adams and her brother...what was his name in the movies? The actor who played him passed away not long ago. Your food looked delish and I loved your light up necklaces too! I also noticed Monster Squad on the poster...one of my favorite Halloween movies...that Frankenstein..."Bogus...and the little girl Phoebe...so great! It's geared for kids but the language is not a good example for kids.
