😂😂😂 Got it. My best takeaway from your videos is that it's ok to take harsh actions or tones (not abusive) on your dog to get the behavior you desire. I use to feel guilty prior to watching your videos, especially when they put their tail between their legs and the guilty/fearful look in their eyes.
Tailor your energy to their energy. Start with minimum required to get desired results. Ramp it up as necessary. Don’t nurse a grudge afterwards and act all grumpy. Reward good behavior.
💕I have two sibling dobes and they use to fight when they got excited. Joel I use your method, before they loose it, I mark it , grab with that energy hold by the neck and collar and stare. Two weeks and with consistency NOW I’m the boss and fighting stops the minute I yell “Hey” and walk over to them! Thank you Joel
Role playing is a fabulous way to teach as well as learn. Owners can show how their dog acts while you get to “correct” them and vice versa. Switching roles with your kids can be fun and a major eye opener, too, leading to better understanding on both sides. Thanks for yet another fabulous video, Joel. You’re always right on target, giving us what we need before we know we need it!
This. I know it looks and especially feels kind of cringy but there's a reason roleplaying is used so widely in pedagogy, therapy, debate and rhetoric training, etc. It has been proven to work very well.

I made the mistake of trying to break my pittbull and german Sheppard up by putting my hand between them and my Sheppard bit me, I had to get stitches in my hand, I learned a lesson that day and I'll never do that again.
I broke up my Doberman and my in-laws springer spaniel. Pulled my Doberman from his collar from behind and he spun around so lightning fast and bit my knee to my tendon. Had me shook

Fun to watch, *and*, yes, helpful. I'll also use some of this to help with a current problem: A dog in my dog's social circle plays to rough -- sinks her teeth into my dog's face and pulls; grabs lower leg and pulls, hard. Her owners do nothing. They won't like it, but I'll definitely use this "stand tall, serious, mean-what-I-say" approach.n(It's tough for me because usually the dogs are about 30 yards away.)
This was a great idea, showing that what is not acceptable between people isn't for dogs either, there's nothing wrong with being a fair leader. It's better than a trip to the vets. Thanks.
I like your videos and love seeing new ones, but I imagine breaking up a dog fight, or even preventing one, is more like having the people armed with knives rather than a wooden spoon. Even as you are timing one out they could be threatening you with their knives. But I still get your points and like the video. Watch your dogs and know their language. You are the boss.
This was good, lots of fun. I use the Joel’s ‘hey’ and clap to stop my dog playing too rough, which I think could develop into a fight if left. It really works. Just an observation, if you don’t have good basic obedience (the ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ one of the fellows did) it will be a lot harder.
We took our cockapoos on a trail walk and omg they walked side by side they were able to coexist for that 1hr. Nothing else has worked. Separating them caused more animosity etc. I’m a subscriber. Thank you, I know it will take time but now it’s repetition to create what I want. I am the boss
only time in house my dogs have faught is when alpha husky female was finaly pushed back in play with my lab. Once he got ful grown and out weighted the husky he could push back in play. She just snapped in an instant from play to fight. Now they have it worked out. What you show will not work in a real dog fight. If the dog are going at you have to grad the agressor by the hind legs and drag him off. Taught this by a K9 trainer.
I like the videos that I see and this one was no different a little bit more funny but all in all great ☺️ oh and I watch this to help my boy that was attacked on leash the owners blamed me but their dogs were off leash so my Malamute has a bit of fear reactivity he wants to play and he does play when he's off leash in a secured area but we just got to get that leash issue under control and he has come a long way we watch from New Brunswick Canada 🇨🇦
There's value here in all the silliness. Sometimes it's good for people to see what's going on from a new perspective, and it's easier to pay attention to you when there is no cute dog involved. :)
Hilarious and informative. I wish my family members would work on their energy, but they're very scared and anxious about their dogs fighting and are worried they can't physically stop the dogs (family members yell and scream reactively).

In the corner lollll. I did a little reading on this before taking my dog to a dog park. One article said that a little aggression is more normal. It’s where they are showing their dominance. They will sound more aggressive than they actually are. When you need to worry, is when there isn’t any sound and they are fighting. Because then it’s for blood. They recommended one of those horns, water, distracting them.
Can't wait for the e-collar video :P It's been a while, the algorithm doesn't seem to show your content lately, possibly because my feed is full of "red pill" content. I've been able to reflect some and possibly find some personal closure to these culture wars that's very present in the dog training industry. Let me ellaborate. Being a software engineer for the last 10 years, I've been mainly occupied with logical material. A world where most things boil down to ones and zeros. Multiple solutions are likely to be similar. Iterations on eachother. Not at all the opposite of eachother. Among many things, I've had to learn to think critically. 2 years ago, I adopted dogs (responsibility, routine, physical activity, managing expectations, ...) and have been consuming content about raising and training them ever since. Found some great role models, started a side hustle and some digital projects in theme. Along with consuming that content came a load of American, leftist crap. Which can often be boiled down to the differences between men and women, both physically and psychologically. Bringing forth the opposing differences in preferred methods and tools based on personal experiences and personal truths. Subjectivity being pushed or framed as the only truth, suggestive research to back-up blind statements. Clear differences between the theoretics and the practical field. Also just saw a video from Lex Fridman about how research is often written for other researchers since you can't keep starting from 0. Not for the common people, yet it is picked up and used for personal gain. It's often new dog "experts" / "coaches" after consuming a gentrified, theoretical course which from then on is their only truth. These people start posting / promoting the most absurd things on social media, often the opposite of the advice of proven experts. Also as flaming comments on video's of experts, Karens. Viewing dogs as infants wether they're human sized or rabbit sized, 4 months walking the earth or 4 years. It's all generalised and "abuse" when it's not following their "love, understanding, free choice" ideology. I've really seen a dog coach post things chonologically: 1. "Dog therapist gave me wrong advice when advising corrections when only love and understanding is the way according to my recent study"; 2. "breed does not matter"; 3. "my 6 year old pitbull became dog agressive, castration is bad, link to article". LOL, I read the article, suggestive as f* nothing concrete in the conclusion. Meanwhile, she got a second pitbull (changes dynamic outdoors?) and age is probably also a factor of intolerance / authority. But I trust she knows her dogs after that long... Another dog coach and shelter promoting harnesses, long lines etc. on strong dogs. Promoting all but their tools are bad and a risk to the throat. Posting some medical images, saying nothing, just for appearances. Purely emotion and commerce driven, exploiting the idea of injury, potentially misleading their audience. I wish the shelter well but the dog coach to have her arms pulled out of her sockets. Nonetheless, this gentrification has had a positive impact since we're no longer hanging dogs into submission. But as of recent years it's become complete crazyness and it's occupying experts that actually deliver results. It's very similar to the Right vs. Left culture wars that are going on. The same reputation / life destructing tactics are implemented. Similar collectivism, tunnel vision beyond reason, beyond logic. Priorities backwards e.g. caring more about the non-existing chance of injury on a human sized dog's neck than having proper control and not causing risk to yourself or surroundings (traffic accidents with children, cyclists, ...). I don't believe entirely that the discomfort of the dog is the main concern. Rather their own comfort and justifying their means. Their own comfort as in, not putting in the work to have proper leash manners. Rather put a strong, pulling dog in a harness and very long line for own ease and 0 control. Justifying their choice of picking a large, working breed dog as house pet. It's social justice, equality among dogs, ... all too similar. Pet care is female dominated, I'd imagine dog training isn't but since there are academics involved, bubbles are too... By sharing articles claiming breed features are not significant, claiming "it's all about how you raise them, only 7% of the breed makes up the behavior", sure, tell that to the two Border Collies with a ball. "Equality for all beings", clearly disregarding physical features. Hyping up breeds on social media, breeds the shelters are already filled with such as American staffords, ... An example of such post was one where her sweet pitbull got discriminated. If you really love a breed, don't promote it! Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think it's unreasonable to think commerce, globalization and social media + algorithms has a lot to do with this partism. From the media businessmodel to the small, new dog "expert" needing to make a name before obtaining the experience. Potentially after being fed a course that in its way had to be different to sell to justifying the sale of tools by demolishing another. Commercial enterprises are not allowed to directly attack another brand at least. And shouldn't visibly reach too far out of their own company to keep a good rep. So it's not unreasonable to think articles, social media etc. is used to do so. A lot of commerce is driven by emotion. Course "Raising babie... euh spoiled brat... euh dogs for women by women and simp". Chapter 1, "How to ignore and turn your back when dog does not put toilet seat back down". Other than that it's mainly differences in approaches between male and female + simps, personal experiences, physicallity, psychology, ... Men and women often grow up being entirely differently surrounded. That obviously impacts interests, methods etc. Think critically, responsibly and use what suits you. I once overheard a group of high school girls talking about how they wash their hair 5 times a day, says enough. I had to look up red pill while I probably am already in that zone. I stand by all my unpopular opinions. I have certainly been less considerate doing so, potentially crushing someone's new found enthousiasm about something. I also have to work on not pushing my personal truths, being more considerate, less reactive. And, I need to work out a way to limit my exposure to social media, I sometimes wish I could just remove it all and keep just the direct messaging ones. But I have to promote my side hustle every now and then. What an ride it's been, from coding to dog training to psychology, ... Thank you, JP, Timcast, Lex, ... and many other critical thinkers, strong people, role models for creating clarity and addressing these issues! A special thanks to your extra effort calling out these suggestive dog research articles and fending off the Karens! Must be tiresome, thanks for the energy you put into that while it shouldn't occupy experts. You can actually click on these Karens' TH-cam profiles and see that screamed their irrational fears on multiple of your "correction" video's. And you can also see the ones commenting are in terrible physical shape with tiny dogs -> Griffons etc. Nothing credible. I encountered that a few months ago, hopefully it's not still bugging you. It probably comes in waves, hopefully it dies down with the wokeness stuff. Let's close with a quote (possibly conspiracy): "The breakdown between men and women is completely intentional because it creates more spending. A stable relationship allows people to pool resources, make rational choices, save money, raise their standard of living, become better educated, support better and more stable communities which in turn does the same on a community level. The breakdown is promoted at every level of society. Not only do unhappy people consume more, they are also less healthy thus likely to need expensive health care and live a shorter life. They are the perfect revenue generating machines."
This was great! What kind of advice do you have for people with disabilities? I currently have to use a rollator to get around. I love dogs and am pretty good with them and am not intimated easily, but have encountered a couple dogs that either are sensing my vulnerability or view my rollator as a " big scary stimulus." Livestock also are pretty spooked by my wheels, so I get it, but I'm also not okay with dogs getting aggressive toward me minding my own business. I've only had two legitimately scary encounters so far, but it has made me want to be more mentally prepared in case a dog does decide to fully attack me. What would your plan of action be to minimize injuries if a dog attacks you? I've heard pepper spray or shoving your arm as far as you can down their throat? 🤔 Whatever the maximum force turns out to be, it's obviously something I hope to never use! But with an increasing number of dog owners who refuse to correct their (gorgeous!) guardian breeds, I would prefer to have a mental checklist in place in case of emergency. Also, I also saw a comment from about a year ago from someone in a wheelchair who was asking for advice on how to walk their dog. I imagine you have quite a few viewers with mobility aids, both dog owners and not, who could use some advice on how to interact with dogs and their owners with our diminished ability to look or act tough.
For the walking a dog in a chair, i saw a vid from jason harris dog training, about training assistant dog. Also dealing with an attack, not specifically for disabled but concepts also may apply. I would never recommend putting your arm down its mouth.
Bear spray for most dogs will ensure they never try to attack you again. For the type of dog that doesn't care about bear spray (and you know which dogs I mean), I'd recommend a .45 if you can handle it one-handed (the other arm may be in the dog's mouth), or a 9mil. Get a holster that you can draw from with either hand. Honestly though, disabled or not, if you get grabbed by the wrong dog (or multiples of the wrong dog) the odds aren't great.
@@co8008 Agreed. That's just reality. I always feel like I should be ready to give a responsible basic fight for life response in various emergencies, but death is inevitable and I'm at peace knowing the mode is in God's hands.
Big fan of the channel! However, I have to say that I was really hoping for some realistic tips for breaking up a dog fight and then reintroducing. I have 2 large pitbull mixes who rarely fight but have had a couple of fights recently where there is no way we could've have gotten there fast enough to prevent. If you're able to, could you please give some tips for breaking up large dog fights and how to reintroduce them after a fight?
I have read suggestions that say to use a loud or dog whistle, or a spray product called Pet Safe that is made from citronella and supposedly will sting but not harm, or even water from a hose or bucket. Trying to grab the hind legs is also sometimes suggested, and I imagine would work better with two people. The collar grab, twist and lift is another tip, but seems more in harm's way. That particular one might stop a dog thrashing the other one about, which is very damaging for a smaller dog. I haven't tried any of these, of course, but they sound relatively worth trying, versus no action, in a desperate situation. I carry a large push button umbrella with me when I walk my small dog, and would open it towards them if a loose dog, or any animal really, rushed us, blowing my hiking whistle as well if possible, but I'd have to get the jump on them. How did you get them stopped in the past? Are they on good terms now?
Dear Joel @Beckman's dogtraining, I am a big fan of your video's, also this video. The problem is that normal owners are 9 of 10 times to late. Ik had 2 fighting female american bulldogs. I didn't see it coming. Sometimes only 1 look was enough to start a full blown fight. My only luck was that I knew how to separate fighting dogs and didn't panic. I think it is very important to learn also how to seperate fighting dogs. Use the collar to lift the front legs from the ground until you can seperate them. You can twist the collar if lifting is not enough. When youre lucky you are not alone, best situation is if both owners put there dogs between there legs so you have only 1 dog to lift and you can prefend shaking.
My neighbour had 5 Boxers, one of them a male senior dog. The 4 younger ones ( 2 F, 2 M.) all turned on the older one and the Lady of the house was getting bit trying to break them up. My Dad at the age of 75 jumped the fence with a hammer in hand. Lucky Dad's a light weight bloke and didn't do any harm, but still getting hit in the ribs and back with a hammer managed to stop the fight. The Lady had more bites than the older Boxer. The older Boxer healed and moved in with one of her sons. It was a like a Lion pack moving on the old King. Oh, none of them were de-sex.
I have the opposite problem. My dog is a Pyr/Kangal mix and he refuses to stand up for himself. Usually he runs away from the wildcard aggressive dogs at the park because he is super chill, but sometimes he gets pinned in by the trees and he just stands there cringing while the aggressive dog goes ballistic at him. They aren’t sinking their teeth onto him but they definitely are lunging/jumping on him while bashing their mouth/teeth on him. The owners have to pull their dog off.

In the corner lollll. I did a little reading on this before taking my dog to a dog park. One article said that a little aggression is more normal. It’s where they are showing their dominance. They will sound more aggressive than they actually are. When you need to worry, is when there isn’t any sound and they are fighting. Because then it’s for blood. They recommended one of those horns, water, distracting them.
How True is that. I see that with my females. And I can stop it before it starts with one yell!!! It helps that they see me as the pack leader!

It's been a while, the algorithm doesn't seem to show your content lately, possibly because my feed is full of "red pill" content.
I've been able to reflect some and possibly find some personal closure to these culture wars that's very present in the dog training industry. Let me ellaborate.
Being a software engineer for the last 10 years, I've been mainly occupied with logical material. A world where most things boil down to ones and zeros. Multiple solutions are likely to be similar. Iterations on eachother. Not at all the opposite of eachother. Among many things, I've had to learn to think critically.
2 years ago, I adopted dogs (responsibility, routine, physical activity, managing expectations, ...) and have been consuming content about raising and training them ever since. Found some great role models, started a side hustle and some digital projects in theme.
Along with consuming that content came a load of American, leftist crap. Which can often be boiled down to the differences between men and women, both physically and psychologically. Bringing forth the opposing differences in preferred methods and tools based on personal experiences and personal truths. Subjectivity being pushed or framed as the only truth, suggestive research to back-up blind statements. Clear differences between the theoretics and the practical field.
Also just saw a video from Lex Fridman about how research is often written for other researchers since you can't keep starting from 0. Not for the common people, yet it is picked up and used for personal gain. It's often new dog "experts" / "coaches" after consuming a gentrified, theoretical course which from then on is their only truth. These people start posting / promoting the most absurd things on social media, often the opposite of the advice of proven experts. Also as flaming comments on video's of experts, Karens. Viewing dogs as infants wether they're human sized or rabbit sized, 4 months walking the earth or 4 years. It's all generalised and "abuse" when it's not following their "love, understanding, free choice" ideology.
I've really seen a dog coach post things chonologically:
1. "Dog therapist gave me wrong advice when advising corrections when only love and understanding is the way according to my recent study";
2. "breed does not matter";
3. "my 6 year old pitbull became dog agressive, castration is bad, link to article".
LOL, I read the article, suggestive as f* nothing concrete in the conclusion. Meanwhile, she got a second pitbull (changes dynamic outdoors?) and age is probably also a factor of intolerance / authority. But I trust she knows her dogs after that long...
Another dog coach and shelter promoting harnesses, long lines etc. on strong dogs. Promoting all but their tools are bad and a risk to the throat. Posting some medical images, saying nothing, just for appearances. Purely emotion and commerce driven, exploiting the idea of injury, potentially misleading their audience. I wish the shelter well but the dog coach to have her arms pulled out of her sockets.
Nonetheless, this gentrification has had a positive impact since we're no longer hanging dogs into submission. But as of recent years it's become complete crazyness and it's occupying experts that actually deliver results.
It's very similar to the Right vs. Left culture wars that are going on. The same reputation / life destructing tactics are implemented. Similar collectivism, tunnel vision beyond reason, beyond logic. Priorities backwards e.g. caring more about the non-existing chance of injury on a human sized dog's neck than having proper control and not causing risk to yourself or surroundings (traffic accidents with children, cyclists, ...).
I don't believe entirely that the discomfort of the dog is the main concern. Rather their own comfort and justifying their means. Their own comfort as in, not putting in the work to have proper leash manners. Rather put a strong, pulling dog in a harness and very long line for own ease and 0 control. Justifying their choice of picking a large, working breed dog as house pet. It's social justice, equality among dogs, ... all too similar. Pet care is female dominated, I'd imagine dog training isn't but since there are academics involved, bubbles are too...
By sharing articles claiming breed features are not significant, claiming "it's all about how you raise them, only 7% of the breed makes up the behavior", sure, tell that to the two Border Collies with a ball. "Equality for all beings", clearly disregarding physical features.
Hyping up breeds on social media, breeds the shelters are already filled with such as American staffords, ... An example of such post was one where her sweet pitbull got discriminated. If you really love a breed, don't promote it!
Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think it's unreasonable to think commerce, globalization and social media + algorithms has a lot to do with this partism. From the media businessmodel to the small, new dog "expert" needing to make a name before obtaining the experience. Potentially after being fed a course that in its way had to be different to sell to justifying the sale of tools by demolishing another. Commercial enterprises are not allowed to directly attack another brand at least. And shouldn't visibly reach too far out of their own company to keep a good rep. So it's not unreasonable to think articles, social media etc. is used to do so. A lot of commerce is driven by emotion.
Course "Raising babie... euh spoiled brat... euh dogs for women by women and simp". Chapter 1, "How to ignore and turn your back when dog does not put toilet seat back down".
Other than that it's mainly differences in approaches between male and female + simps, personal experiences, physicallity, psychology, ... Men and women often grow up being entirely differently surrounded. That obviously impacts interests, methods etc. Think critically, responsibly and use what suits you. I once overheard a group of high school girls talking about how they wash their hair 5 times a day, says enough.
I had to look up red pill while I probably am already in that zone. I stand by all my unpopular opinions. I have certainly been less considerate doing so, potentially crushing someone's new found enthousiasm about something. I also have to work on not pushing my personal truths, being more considerate, less reactive. And, I need to work out a way to limit my exposure to social media, I sometimes wish I could just remove it all and keep just the direct messaging ones. But I have to promote my side hustle every now and then.
What an ride it's been, from coding to dog training to psychology, ...

A special thanks to your extra effort calling out these suggestive dog research articles and fending off the Karens! Must be tiresome, thanks for the energy you put into that while it shouldn't occupy experts.
You can actually click on these Karens' TH-cam profiles and see that screamed their irrational fears on multiple of your "correction" video's. And you can also see the ones commenting are in terrible physical shape with tiny dogs -> Griffons etc. Nothing credible. I encountered that a few months ago, hopefully it's not still bugging you. It probably comes in waves, hopefully it dies down with the wokeness stuff.

This was great! What kind of advice do you have for people with disabilities? I currently have to use a rollator to get around. I love dogs and am pretty good with them and am not intimated easily, but have encountered a couple dogs that either are sensing my vulnerability or view my rollator as a " big scary stimulus." Livestock also are pretty spooked by my wheels, so I get it, but I'm also not okay with dogs getting aggressive toward me minding my own business. I've only had two legitimately scary encounters so far, but it has made me want to be more mentally prepared in case a dog does decide to fully attack me. What would your plan of action be to minimize injuries if a dog attacks you? I've heard pepper spray or shoving your arm as far as you can down their throat? 🤔
Whatever the maximum force turns out to be, it's obviously something I hope to never use! But with an increasing number of dog owners who refuse to correct their (gorgeous!) guardian breeds, I would prefer to have a mental checklist in place in case of emergency.
Also, I also saw a comment from about a year ago from someone in a wheelchair who was asking for advice on how to walk their dog.
I imagine you have quite a few viewers with mobility aids, both dog owners and not, who could use some advice on how to interact with dogs and their owners with our diminished ability to look or act tough.
For the walking a dog in a chair, i saw a vid from jason harris dog training, about training assistant dog. Also dealing with an attack, not specifically for disabled but concepts also may apply. I would never recommend putting your arm down its mouth.
Bear spray for most dogs will ensure they never try to attack you again.
For the type of dog that doesn't care about bear spray (and you know which dogs I mean), I'd recommend a .45 if you can handle it one-handed (the other arm may be in the dog's mouth), or a 9mil. Get a holster that you can draw from with either hand.
Honestly though, disabled or not, if you get grabbed by the wrong dog (or multiples of the wrong dog) the odds aren't great.
@@co8008 Agreed. That's just reality. I always feel like I should be ready to give a responsible basic fight for life response in various emergencies, but death is inevitable and I'm at peace knowing the mode is in God's hands.

Big fan of the channel! However, I have to say that I was really hoping for some realistic tips for breaking up a dog fight and then reintroducing. I have 2 large pitbull mixes who rarely fight but have had a couple of fights recently where there is no way we could've have gotten there fast enough to prevent. If you're able to, could you please give some tips for breaking up large dog fights and how to reintroduce them after a fight?
I have read suggestions that say to use a loud or dog whistle, or a spray product called Pet Safe that is made from citronella and supposedly will sting but not harm, or even water from a hose or bucket. Trying to grab the hind legs is also sometimes suggested, and I imagine would work better with two people. The collar grab, twist and lift is another tip, but seems more in harm's way. That particular one might stop a dog thrashing the other one about, which is very damaging for a smaller dog.
I haven't tried any of these, of course, but they sound relatively worth trying, versus no action, in a desperate situation. I carry a large push button umbrella with me when I walk my small dog, and would open it towards them if a loose dog, or any animal really, rushed us, blowing my hiking whistle as well if possible, but I'd have to get the jump on them.
How did you get them stopped in the past? Are they on good terms now?
Dear Joel @Beckman's dogtraining, I am a big fan of your video's, also this video. The problem is that normal owners are 9 of 10 times to late. Ik had 2 fighting female american bulldogs. I didn't see it coming. Sometimes only 1 look was enough to start a full blown fight. My only luck was that I knew how to separate fighting dogs and didn't panic. I think it is very important to learn also how to seperate fighting dogs. Use the collar to lift the front legs from the ground until you can seperate them. You can twist the collar if lifting is not enough. When youre lucky you are not alone, best situation is if both owners put there dogs between there legs so you have only 1 dog to lift and you can prefend shaking.

My neighbour had 5 Boxers, one of them a male senior dog. The 4 younger ones ( 2 F, 2 M.) all turned on the older one and the Lady of the house was getting bit trying to break them up. My Dad at the age of 75 jumped the fence with a hammer in hand. Lucky Dad's a light weight bloke and didn't do any harm, but still getting hit in the ribs and back with a hammer managed to stop the fight. The Lady had more bites than the older Boxer. The older Boxer healed and moved in with one of her sons. It was a like a Lion pack moving on the old King. Oh, none of them were de-sex.

I have the opposite problem. My dog is a Pyr/Kangal mix and he refuses to stand up for himself. Usually he runs away from the wildcard aggressive dogs at the park because he is super chill, but sometimes he gets pinned in by the trees and he just stands there cringing while the aggressive dog goes ballistic at him. They aren’t sinking their teeth onto him but they definitely are lunging/jumping on him while bashing their mouth/teeth on him. The owners have to pull their dog off.
