However, if you're a USMNT fan, all you could have asked for was a coach who has coached at the highest level, and Pochettino provides just that.

Now I hope the US Soccer Federation gives Poch the freedom to bring in his own coaching staff etc. and let him cook. Great hire for US Futbol and this is coming from an Argentinian fan.

On the other hand, I believe that he will be a good appointment for the USA team as American players have similar traits with English players - they are athletic and hardworking.

The futbol i expect will be similar to other Argentinian managers who have all stolen concepts from Bielsa. I expect a 4-4-2 that's in line with Diego Simeone, Scaloni, Sampoli, Gallardo, as well as Gerardo Martino. Physical, aggressive pressing with measured possession. The futbol is mostly quick transitions, similar to what he did in Tottenham, where fluidity in both offensive and defensive transitions was key. Poch's biggest problem is his teams don't create chances when they dominate possession. That's why he was let go from PSG and Chelsea. Furthermore, our midfielders don't possess the futbol intelligence required to play in his system nor the fitness. Only Weston Mckennie seems competent for that job. Reyna can barely last 30 mins and his body language will need to be amended if he's to play for Poch. Adams innane aggresiveness to compensate for his lack of technical ability has him in perpetual injury mode. All he has to do is teach our players what Argentinian do best: cheat cunningly, dive, complain, waste time & win.

He has a history of developing younger players so thats a plus. He took mf’ing Spurs to a Champions League final. There is absolutely no comparison between him and GGG, and if youre asking if he can get better results and more from the team, I say give him some credit, yes without a doubt. There will be growing pains and he doesnt have International experience, but I cant fathom a reality where he doesnt move the needle. Also, you are downplaying the talent in this team. There are multiple players above “mediocre” status. Playing under Gregg didnt help them tho
The USMNT will be better under Poche! First he was a defender for Argentina...so we know right away soft tacking won't cut it and you better be good with the ball too! You guys probably aren’t familiar with that knowledge though 😂
Hmm we'll see...we all saw the sh@t show the other argentine was in Mexico with tata martino. Hopefully he doesnt act as a saboture when the usmnt plays against argentina.
Por eso a México le fue tan buen cuando se fue de México jajajaja, como si argentina necesitara un "chivo" espía.

Why are people excited??? USSF wasted a year and a huge tournament on GGG, and now hire Poch who has never won a damn thing. Don’t compare him and Emma Hayes.
No matter if usmnt hired Guardiola or Klopp, they ain't winning the WC
@@maxgonzalez214 We fans only wanted a decent run into the 2026 knockouts, but they wasted too much time on a loser and still expect good results. I remember when I was watching the Colombia friendly before the Copa, the USMNT players looked bored and seemed like they didn’t want to even be there. They needed a good coach THEN, one that would make them fear their spots on the team if they played crappy, not a friend.
@@kristi4113ok, so 2.5 mo. Later they hav that coach. & 1.5+ yrs. 2 prep. 4 '26. /shrug
@@rvog6584 If he can’t do anything with them, it’s not his fault. They got coddled by Gregg, got to comfortable. Poch needs to break them down and tell the hard truths like Emma Hayes did for the women.
@@kristi4113 i presume 'Poch' & 'coddle' r simply incompatible so proly no worries there [!]
I can’t listen to Davies anymore. The guy is terrible
Who cares about a salesman or woman.
Looking forward to that 1st media moment when Mauricio burst the bubble of the U.S. echo chamber and simply says his job is to help a weak footballing nation improve. lol
Greg culture is dead, time for the players and the fans to wake up.
He’s good, but does it move the needle? The player pool is still mediocre and that’s doesn’t look to change before 2026. Way better than Berhalter tho
Dele Allie peaked under Poche.
Our player pool is not mediocre, it just looks that way when you have a manager who has no ideas on the sideline.
@@TheLaughingMustache-oh5ffBruh,it is mediocre.Accept that reality.
The USMNT will be better under Poche! First he was a defender for Argentina...so we know right away soft tacking won't cut it and you better be good with the ball too! So wouldn't surprise me to see some guys like Weah move to the back also Weston...it will be knew and interesting. He won't be laden like GGG with past history with the USMNT...beholden to no one!
Pochhetino will never coach real madrid, he is not on that level mate 😂😂😂what u talking about
It was really hilarious to hear these arrogant and delusional US pundits thinking they could get Klopp and Pep.But I doubt that they'll get Poch.Cuz he's also linked to the England job.England is a way bigger team than a mediocre team like the USMNT.
Jesus! I would rather have Southgate back, than have poch as an England manager!
He is the greatest fraud in the history of Soccer !
I think it’s a bad hire. His style doesn’t mix with the US’s scrappy style. Klopp was a good fit. This isn’t.
"i think" lol who are you?
Neither are a good fit. Why? Both coaches foster laziness, complacency and favoritism.
Tú no sabes nada 😂
What has he won? 😂
Nothing
I dunno? A hundred dollars on the lottery maybe.
WHY????? He has no international team experience and remember this is the manager that refused to use Pulisic.
Pulisic left before he got there dude…
Bruh,Pulisic is an overrated and mediocre player. So I ain't blame him.
he wasn't the only Chelsea manager not to use Politic. that should tell you something
@@marktheshark7588 Cleary he is underrated bro, you don't even what you're talking 😂😂
Pulisic left before poch took over
Why didn’t any European team want him?
Because he is not a winner! He lacks balls!
@@hugoamericanista6929😂 yeah ok
He's not that good, but neither is the usmnt so it's ok

What a fall from grace. It’s almost sad. As long as he’s nowhere near Chelsea I’m happy. Good match though, loser coach with some loser players.
