Saw this here in LA. Ownership stuck with their inadequate front office for a decade. Being a selling club is fine up to a point, but just imagine how dominant a Union Alumni club would be today?
Curtin needed a push out of the nest though.

Definitely surprising. As a Union fan, I was on the #ClosetheCurtin bandwagon many years ago, but then he proved me wrong.
Curtis had nothing to work with this year. More than just Andre Blake being injured. Gazdag declined big time. Glesnes declined. Elliott and Uhre too. They sold Julían Carranza. They sold Jose “Brujo” Martinez. Even the best of coaches would have struggled this year. So it doesn’t feel fair.
That said, Union II are stacked (and playing for MLS Next title this weekend). Hope we see a youth movement because they still have the best academy program, although many clubs are catching up. I have some faith in Ernst Tanner, so hopefully he can make this a positive pivot.

Terrible choice to fire Curtin. The dude has had the Union as on of the top teams in MLS for a good period. Great at developing young players too. Terrible job
