    Your bucket helps to keep those seeds out of your tractor's radiator as well. It doesn't stop everything, but it definitely helps. Plus, it makes it easier for me to deal with keeping after the rocks that magically appear in my fields. I just jump out of the cab, pick up the biggest offenders and toss them in the bucket.
    Doing a day of brush cutting is also a good excuse for putting on the headphones and listening to music for several hours, or just using some 'quiet' time for getting your head right.
    Take care and God Bless.

    Armadillos are one thing, Hogs are another. Not isolated holes, rather large rooted areas of uneven ground. Good thing around here(East Texas) it has been very wet. Hogs are content in the woods and not resorting to our property. Good luck with the armadillos!

    We have problems with rocks appearing every year. Anything from the size of your fist to a beach ball. Nothing you can do but stop and pick them up. But someone I know tested out a service in which they fly a drone over the field and it maps out all the rocks. Then they give you a map of where the rocks are located so you can drive right out to them and pick them up. Kind a cool. Probably not feasible but I wonder if that could be done with Armadillo holes.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  ปีที่แล้ว

      It can during winter and the spring while the grass is dead. I actually did that a few months back and posted a video.

    Hi, Andrew! Armadillos are a plight to humanity. Has anyone ever discovered anything they contribute that’s beneficial? So sorry you must deal with them.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Other than eating ticks and ants, they don't provide much help.

  • @JBCrossRanch
    @JBCrossRanch ปีที่แล้ว

    Don’t use high pressure air to clean your air filters! You’re tearing the filter media apart and it will let dirt pass through defeating the purpose of the filter. Low air pressure is fine from 30psi on down.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You've definitely not watched my tractor maintenance videos. I often say 30 psi is my target pressure I always turn to. th-cam.com/video/LA949mlqn7g/w-d-xo.html

    Have you thought about adding a horizontal bar on the back of the rotary mower to mount two or three wheels? I think if you spread the footprint out to multiple wheels, it would keep from destroying the one wheel when it falls into one of those armadillo holes.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Those armadillos are watching for you! They sure can tear up your yard and I would hate to think of you or an animal stepping in one of the holes and getting seriously hurt! Hope you can get them under control even just a little bit, they seem to multiply like rabbits. 😢 Have a good rest of the week.😊

    I wish I could walk around in shorts like that. We have too many ticks so when I am in the field I need to be fully covered with my socks over my pants.
    I know you have been on that property for like 10 years. Is the land that nice because it's florida or did you do anything to smooth it out. I have a property of really hilly land and its also bumpy from moles. I even busted part of my brush hog, though it was old when I got it and I busted a pretty messy repaired spot. But I'd like to know what I need to do to smooth things out. I was thinking of dropping loads of top soil and then dragging my box blade them to try and smooth things out.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  ปีที่แล้ว

      We have plenty of ticks as well. Spraying and mowing helps. This property was overgrown when we bought it. I've spent years clearing, smoothing and planting to get to this point.

    Andrew I noticed on your shop that you have 2 roll up garage doors. We had a metal building built on or property just finished with the same type doors. I am trying to figure out how to secure these doors. Thought pad locks and something inside that locks to the floor. What are your thoughts cause we will have equipment inside.
    Thanks
