Ya, the ground is soft right now, if I do this into the summer when the ground gets hard, that's not going to happen.

thanks John. flying weather is going to suck then next week and a half, Working on a MK82 powder bomb. If that does not impress will make a Mk83 or a Mk84 powder bomb!

Did something similar with my F4 corsair, 3D printed custom drop mechanism.
Yeah I think my first modern day bomb dropping model was my FMS 1400 mm Corsair. I designed my own custom bomb drop mechanism for that one too
Imagine sitting in an actual VR flight motion controlled sim rig - while flying THIS 😎
physical throttle, flight yoke, flaps, pedals etc....
Quite the hassle to bring it out, power it etc - but we'll see this happen soon....
Perhaps fully built-into a caravan with generator so you can simply drive up to the place and set up?

Yeah I could do drop tanks but they don't look anywhere near as cool falling as the bombs do!

what's the largest drop-capable model you have and where did you get it? I want to try this but I'm not super fond of how small models handle (not bashing just personal preference.
Hi Tom, awesome bomb drops. Wondering if they would work on my Freewing A6 Intruder. If so would you be able to help me duplicate what you did for my A6?
a-6 is 1/14.25 scale. A-10 is 1/10. You would have to print them smaller and rework out the rest of the hardware. Sorry, I just don't have the time.

what size did you make the snake eyes? i printed one out and it seems a bit small
@@RenegadeRCFPV the snakeyes are 1/10th scale, same as the model
@@tomhuntFPV My bad, I probably should've asked that question better. I downloaded the STL files and threw them straight into Cura and printed. finished bomb is 215mm tall. does that seem right, or is the 1/10th bigger than what i printed?
@@RenegadeRCFPV the body of the snakeye or assembled with the fins?
@@tomhuntFPV that’d be the full complete snake eye with fins attached, just the body is 155mm tall
@@RenegadeRCFPV I don't have a file with the fins attached, on my thingiverse page. the body loads at 154.7. when you use the 1/4-20 screw for weight it is only 145.7
