I personally, really like Lacus a lot. She has that personality that seems like an airhead but turns out to be the most cunning person in the series. Two best examples would be the time when he scolded Rau le Cruset for attacking even if Kira is returning Lacus back to Zaft and the time she was talking to Athrun about being a spy.
Rau probably told him Athrun fought along side the Freedom during the Battle of Orb. Now he’s returned without either the Freedom or the Justice. That definitely put him in a bad mood. The fact that his own flesh and blood is questioning his decisions made it fouler
Rewatching really made me realise that Lacus is quite the mastermind and a bit of a manipulator. Really my fave character even Kira pales in comparison. They should've given her more screentime so we see her actions.

Justice is a melee specialist, Dearka is not gonna do overly well in it. But Dearka can shoot-shoot with the freedom to his heart's content, unlimited beams.

what's up with fathers dying in the Seed and Destiny era. Flay's dad died, Cagalli's dad died, Lacus's dad died, Athrun's dad also gonna die. Even Kira's dad mysteriously goes missing in Destiny.
Fathers Dead or MIA in Anime is one of the biggest Tropes there is, along side everyone having 30 gallons of blood under high pressure, jumping/falling off 2 story buildings with out any hospital visits, and the ever present sweat bead.....
Kira's biological parents were murdered by Blue Cosmos in a cutscene in Ep 11, before the next scene where his aunt took baby Kira and Cagalli and run away to safety. He was adopted by his uncle and aunt.

I find it really odd that this dude really approved a pink ship with feathers on the back as ZAFT's new flagship battle vessel. Also, I know the Eternal was built to support the Justice and Freedom, but it still seems really stupid to not have any GINNs as backups.

The english version tried to make him sound gruff and badass and dumb, but in this one, you can hear him not only not even remotely being bothered by the fact that they're gonna have to shoot their way out of the hangar, but finding it funny. Original Dub Waltfeld is the guy who responds to a situation like that by saying "Well now you've gone and made it FUN!" XD

Kira is responsible for his wife's death, so he's right in saying "You probably have a reason to want me dead" "It's war kid. Everyone's got a reason to want someone dead. And No one does." Andrew's hurting. For sure. But he's accepted the reality of turning that part of his life around and is moving through it.
The GENESIS was originally designed to propel spacecrafts to deep space (similar to Voiture Lumiere propulsion used by the StarGazer Gundam), but we know in the real world that any advancement in science can be weaponized to kill, so that's what the GENESIS ultimately became of.
Okay, I stumbled across these Remaster video's by chance, just watched the previous episode and now this one. The upscaled resolution is great, but -- and it's a critical but! -- they made changes that ruin it for me. At 15:35 there is a new music track instead of the original. And it completely destroys one of the most iconic moments in the whole series. Lacus giving the order to launch coincided perfectly with the low part of the original track and immediately after it would pick up again in the quintessential triumph of heroic music, orchestral masterpiece! The new music just makes all the buildup take a nosedive and the scene loose all it's splendor with this generic marching theme. Disappointing to say the least. I enjoyed the new graphical improvement, but if the essence of what made Gundam Seed great is not being preserved... what's the point?
