I did everything that EVERYONE on utube said to correct my bandsaw and it never worked right so I was shopping for a new saw then I met Alex at a wood show and he sold me what I needed and I bought it, might as well be tried everything, well it’s like magic it works perfectly and I can cut paper thin with no drift at all, I went back to the show and bought the stabilizer and it works perfectly also, I wish I met him earlier he’s a bandsaw G.O.A.T
My RIK2 Carter Stabilizer is still working superbly on my Record BS400 bandsaw since buying it in 2014. Thanks Alex and the Carter team who are so very helpful.
Alex you are the bandsaw king, Quick question, which Carter stabilizer should I purchase for my Rikon 14” 10-326 ? Looking to do some scroll work with my saw. Thanks Alex
@@bandsawlife2660 Thankyou sir, Alex I’m relatively new to the world of bandsaw and wondering would I need to swap to the Carter blade guide system in order to use the stabilizer? I’m quite happy with my current bandsaws setup. but this Carter stabilizer is certainly a game changer for tighter radius and backing out of a project on the fly. Thanks Alex for your time.
@@bandsawlife2660 Thanks once again Alex, as it turns out I will be needing the RIK 2 for my 10-326 delux Rikon. Now to place my order. Thank you sir for all your help and time. Cheers 🍻
Hi Alex. I messaged you recently concerning the Stabilizer for a Jet 10 Bandsaw. You responded very quickly & I do appreciate that promptness. I am a woodcarver & use my bandsaws to cut out blanks to carve, frequently needing to make very sharp turns & lots of curves. I was using a 1/4 in blade & couldn't make the turns, so I went to a 1/8 in blade. Even though I use just a very feather light touch, I am breaking the blades constantly.(I haven't received my Stabilizer in the mail yet). Will the stabilizer help with that? Could I possibly go to a 3/16 or 1/4 in blade with it & make these turns? HELP! I am eating up all my profits on my carvings buying blades!
@@bandsawlife2660 I purchased a jet SWBS-14SFX last year and have approximately 3 hours of run time on it. I have changed the wheel tires this week because the blade kept messing up the bottom tire. Was using a 3/8” blade at the time. Changed to a 1/4” blade yesterday. Seems better but not yet convinced I could saw a board as you show in your videos. I have tensioned the blade as you show in your videos because the tension chart is totally useless.

Hello Mr. Snodgrass happy new year
Alex, Does Carter make a blade stabilizer for an old Delta 9” bandsaw model 28-150. Hope so. Didn’t see it on the Carter website. Thank you.
Alex does the blade Need to ride on the center of the bottom tire also?
No it should ride a bit forward

I believe it’s a Rik 1, but best to ask Kris Scates at Carter 888-622-7837
There’s a possibility it could be a rik 3

You can just add the stabilizer without upgrading the original guides.

Interested in purchasing a Carter blade stabilizer. For doing scroll work, what blade should I use. 1/8,3/16, or 1/4?
My favorites are 1/8” x14tpi and 3/16” x 4 tpi
Thank you

The stabilizer will definitely help. Perhaps a 3/16” 4 tpi which will turn about the size of a dime would last a bit longer as well
@@bandsawlife2660 Thanks for your help! Can't wait to get my Stabilizer!
Carter needs to make a guide for the Grizzly models with the hex slot for the guides.
They do I believe, give Kris a call at Carter Products 888-622-7837
