That Rock Montage at the end had me rolling with laughter. But on a serious note I do think that did a disservice to the Titian lineage by renaming it to the Enterprise-G. Having the next ST series be of another Named ship (Ala la Voyager) with Seven as it's captain would have been a wonderful call back to the way Voyager broke that mold. We're also still about 120 years away from the Enterprise J, so the H and I need to have long careers. Here's hoping that the Enterprise H will be Enterprise Class!
Same here. I think my brain went a little BSOD at the reveal of the renaming. Like...I can forget the whole bad omen things with renaming. I can forget that the Enterprise is no longer the top of the line ships of the fleet. I can even forget the awkward design of this new "Enterprise" (which, I admit, is its own charm). But I can't get over the fact this disregards the ordeal and achievement of not only the ship and her crew, but also the previous ships in the "Titan" lineage. It's like Starfleet saying that compared to the Enterprise lineage, the legacy of the Titans, and by extension the rest of the fleet as well, doesn't matter, which I don't think is the message they want to sent.
@@PaiSAMSEN And if they really wanted to go homage, remember in Trek IV when they were approaching the Excelsior, and oh look, just past it... Have a proper Enterprise-G behind the Titan-A, and get a nice look at it- before dropping Jack back to the Titan-A for his posting.

It looks quite good from most angles, and it also seems noticeably beefed up as well. That neck should be relatively spacious! Thank you also for identifying that scale model by *Bill Krause at Modeler Magic,* and also for the *Star Trek music by Captain Meatshield.* I'll explore both of those further.
These are always a special treat. :) Yeah, the theft of Titan's lineage (would that be considered stolen valor?) was the one real sour note this season. Otherwise even the stuff that didn't _quite_ land was still fun overall.
I was gonna speak my piece about the new ships, but the moment I saw Voyager, the only thing I can say is that's the little ship that could. Best damn design.
I always find these to be fun and funny, but the humor was particularly top notch on this one. Bravo! Not to mention a very interesting take on the most recent season and ship that aligns quite closely to my own sentiments. Thanks for your hard work.
One of things I pondered the most about the Titan-A was the lack of a designated Ops officer and station. They had Science and Communication on opposite sides and Conn and tactical in front. Presumably there were other stations for Engineering and Mission. The Defiant didn't have an Ops station but strangely had a Science station. I always felt like Communication morphed into the Ops station, but the D saw Tactical sometimes handle Communication (I guess nothing to do otherwise?). So now Communication is back, with Ops folded into Conn?
If Terry really wants to bring back that Kirk-era ship look, he should do a show set in that period, around the time of Star Trek 2. From ships to uniforms to phasers, that was the golden age for the whole Star Trek aesthetic.
I hate when people forget to subtract the nacelles from their estimations of a ships size and just go by the stated length, instead of attempting to understand the vessels volume. Thankyou Junkball for correcting that @ 10:08 🖖

Great video. I don’t understand why the enterprise d style is so hated by the designers. It’s like all they want is to get away from it. The bridge was amazing the feel was so comfy the lighting was great. Engineering was great. Even Picard when seeing enterprise d in Picard s3 said he missed the carpet. So it’s a running joke even with them.
Beautiful! I was so happy at the first ‘rocks!’ mention. Like ‘beak me up scotty’ and the ‘Vulcan neck pinch’ I wish this could enter the public lexicon one day!
Really great ship that I think was utilized a lot better than earlier seasons. My main issue is that it looks a little wonky at certain angles, and renaming it Enterprise felt like a cheap attempt at fanservice.

I too did not like that the Titan-A became the Enterprise-G(spot). If Deep Space Nine and Voyager proved anything, it is that a ship called "Enterprise" does not have to be the subject of a given Star Trek production.
Gawd I can't wait for a genuinely NEW live action show. No Enterprise, no Kirk/Spock/Pike, and no clumsy fan service. Strange New Worlds shows potential and I enjoyed it but lets get away from the 23rd century for crying out loud. I'd be happy for another series set in the 24th or 25th century but do something new for crying out loud.
@@CharlesP2009 It's almost like both of the Star shows can't get away from what worked in the past...if we had someone named "Spacestrutter" in Trek, and a particularly named ship in the "Wars", we'd have a fandom black hole on our hands.
My only issue was renaming the Titan -A. It would be fine to have the Enterprise-F out there commanded by anyone else. Titan-A proved itself worth having its own show as it did. I loved the Titan-A. It took me a moment to get used to the look and her Captain, but Wow, I really grew to love both. Yeah, Shaw is a dip **** from Chicago, but no one is perfect. I felt that they should have allowed him to stay alive, but if you are going to kill him don't rename the ship.
So happy I clicked on this video. The production alone earned my sub. But adding that laugh by Data? Had me rolling. Awesome. Now to binge watch all the rest of your videos.
Renaming the Titan-A into Enterprise-G was a mistake that will haunt the Franchise for a long time. It would have been better to let the F still be in service and kill of the Titan to let seven and her senior officers take over a refit F

These videos are fantastic! There is so much work that goes into producing these videos! Most people dont understand or appreciate how hard, or the length of time it takes to create videos like these! GREAT JOB!
This was next-level, which for a video that YOU made is saying something! Absolutely love the work that goes into these, and wholeheartedly believe that this was your magnum opus when it comes to 'Rocks' jokes!
I actually like it being the titan A compaired to the enterprise g
same
@@Sephiroth144 To expand further, having the Enterprise-E appear as part of Frontier Day instead of the F, and have the F appear behind the Titan-A the way you described.
Matalas said that he brought the F in as a tribute to STO fan...except the way the F appear in the show feel more like a slap in the face. (Seriously, an early-decommissioning due to a compromised system?)
@@PaiSAMSEN They treated the F like they treated every TNG guest star they brought back for Picard- "Hey, remember them? AND now they're gone..."
Not sure this manner of content has ever made me smile and chuckle quite so often.
Kudos to your team. Scripting, pacing, editing, narration - all spot on.
You have mastered 'engaging entertainment'
Another spectacular video report, with just the right amount of dry irony to appease your fans. Thank you for showcasing the new starship design!
Yay, new content! I was starting to worry you had gone quiet for good. Hilarious as usual and likewise superb quality. Keep it coming, please.
Been subscribed since day one and love all of your videos. I couldn't wait to watch this once it posted. Keep it coming brother!
Oh boy... Those early videos are a lifetime ago. Glad you like them and thanks for sticking around man.
Thanks for this! Glad to have you making content again.
This one was a joy to make.. I can't say that for all of them.
This video might be your masterpiece. The rocks montage sealed it.
Absolute perfection! Thank you Junkball for all your hard work and quirky humor.
These are always a special treat. :) Yeah, the theft of Titan's lineage (would that be considered stolen valor?) was the one real sour note this season. Otherwise even the stuff that didn't _quite_ land was still fun overall.
This was a very informative and thoroughly entertaining video. I wasn't expecting the amount of humour throughout but it was very welcome
Would love to see you do a breakdown of the refurbished Enterprise D. Great video as always!
I'm leaning towards giving starships a rest for a while, but you never know.
This is a channel made with real love for Trek. I really enjoyed this video - thank you!
I was gonna speak my piece about the new ships, but the moment I saw Voyager, the only thing I can say is that's the little ship that could. Best damn design.
little? Oh wait, wrong ship.
@@CathrineMacNiel It's a good thing no one said that to Janeway. She's liable to throw hot coffee in their face.
@@CharlesP2009 Then Tuvix you out of existence.
OMG finally a new video! I absolutely loved S3 Picard! You are one of my fav YT channels. please make more vids!
I'll do my best.
I always find these to be fun and funny, but the humor was particularly top notch on this one. Bravo!
Not to mention a very interesting take on the most recent season and ship that aligns quite closely to my own sentiments. Thanks for your hard work.
Your montage at the end had me in stitches. Bravo on finally highlighting the Starfleet's greatest foe!
The rocks montage at the end was the cherry on top of an already satisfying presentation!
Thankyou Junkball for correcting that @ 10:08 🖖
Awesome video as always
20:29 that timing with the First Contact theme :) we all assume that Star Trek ships are made of layers of alloys. But clearly there's quite a-lot of concrete that makes up the hull...Space concrete
I'm rewatching this a year later and man, this is so good! I've got someone watching on the couch next to me and they want to give TNG a shot after watching a few of your videos. So that's up next!
Glad you liked it. I put that first rocks in as a tease.
Missed your videos :)
The ending was beautiful. Great video 🤘 I have hope for the future as Star Trek fan if Terry is involved. He did great this season.
Love the Rock ending!
I never knew it was possible to have Junkball fan service. Your attention to detail reins supreme
Really great ship that I think was utilized a lot better than earlier seasons. My main issue is that it looks a little wonky at certain angles, and renaming it Enterprise felt like a cheap attempt at fanservice.
OMG!!! I just came across your channel, and it is truly THE BEST TH-cam Channel EVER!!! Your editing and references are off the charts!!! ESPECIALLY "ROCKS"!!! I nearly peed myself as I watch a number of your videos, that dated back 3-5 years. You are at the top of my watch list and I will be going back and watch your old videos. I will also tell everyone I know, of like mind, to check your stuff out. 😄😆🤣😂🙃
The rocks and the kitt bashing jokes never get old.
OMG your sarcasm has reached new levels. The amount of editing work to bring these memes into your video must be immense!
Also, Captain Shaw should've never have been killed. He was the best new character introduced by far.
He was definitely the best new character this season. I think they'll bring him back. It's Star Trek. Death is a mere inconvenience.
i agree, but I don't think they expected him to be quite so popular with fans.
Super video. Love the tribute to killer rocks at the end! Love your work!!!
@@CharlesP2009 I don't mind fan service. I'm a fan. I should be serviced.
@@DarinRWagner Winks and nods are fine but what they do is clunky and obvious.
@@CharlesP2009 Well I disagree with you there.
I would've been impressed if they re-named the ship the U.S.S. Shaw, TBH.
Really well put together, with just the right amount of humor, with the vid.
Really well done, really enjoyed it.
Lets see what happens next
Kitt bashing gag is always great
Well from one TH-camr to another, you are sincerely one of my favorites. This is my personal account. I only want to praise you for this video you made, I love the jokes, and it even fucking made me nostalgically "tingle with warmth" at the end. I am always excited to see one of your new videos! KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WORK!!!!!
The in-world explanations they give to cover up the bad writing and plot planning of the show is such BS
First time channel watcher. I thought production your quality was above par.. but the rock montage made me almost fall out of my chair.

This franchise is just a dumpster fire post-Enterprise
Lol and twenty years ago y’all said that Enterprise and Voyager killed the franchise.
@@alexmaverick6647 Voyager had a good start and then got repetitive and generic real fast.
Enterprised had a terrible intro song and was pretty bad, then got canceled just as they turned it around.
none of these new shows feels like star trek, it's a skin suit people wear to feel like they belong for liking a current thing
Love your work. If you ever run out of ideas to do about ships I suggest you start doing Trek prop history and design videos. Would love to see your takes on all the various Tricorders, Phasers, and communicators.
Star trek since about 2010... Ahh who cares
Another great video. I look forward to more. Congratulations on being the ninth most popular channel about Star Trek Starships! 🏆🏅9️⃣
That was a phenomenal breakdown. Thank you for doing this video! You've got yourself a subscriber!
completly agree. Thanks for the fantastic video.
Always love your videos...always a joy seeing your videos and hearing a friendly voice.all the best. Picard season 3 was great! Seeing the enterprise d again....tears of joy.😊
Best way to start the day, a new vid from Junkball❤
,Thanks for all your videos ❤🎉🎉 ❤ when ever iam down you video cheer me up, especially since New TREK is not star Trek.... enough 😢😢🎉🎉🎉 thanks 🎉🎉🎉
Great video. Really enjoyed it and so hilarious in parts to boot!! Well put together and quite informative! Thanks!
