good luck finding one you mostly find the xbox series s it’s gpu is as strong as a rtx 2060 which is very impressive but the series x’s gpu is as strong as a 2070 super

One question I have the one s and I have two storage devices can I just sign in to the new Xbox plug them in and be ready to is there something else I gotta do I’ve seen something we’re when you plug in a external storage it asks you to format it but that deletes everything so I’m very confused I also think my usb is 3.0 and you can’t play x/s enhanced games so how would I be able to play those sorry it’s such a long question I’m just very confused.
You should be able to use the external hard drives to transfer data. Even if for some reason they get deleted you can always redownload the games from the store and redownload the save data from the cloud. Hope this helps!

Do games get transfered to their updated versions for series S/X automatically? Or do I have to download them again to get the optimized version?
That I am not sure of that to be honest - I wanna say it takes the newest version. However when I transferred over a game then booted it up an hour later it downloaded a small update. But all the other games where fine!
So is the Series X using the same formatting system as the One thus allowing one to simply unplug an external drive from the One and into the Series? That is the best option for me. Anything requiring me to download anymore than necessary over the internet is a problem. Home network fine, but if it is just using the old console as a list to tell the new console what to download from the internet then that is more than useless to me with extremely limited internet options

My question is: I currently have Black ops Cold War and Modern warfare (Xbox one versions) My series X arrives tomorrow (finally!) and I was wondering if I transferred those games over to the series X from my Xbox one if I could play them or do you think I’d have to buy the “next gen” versions of each game. You’d still be able to play them but they won’t have the new next gen features

@@zelo487 I had an external so I just plugged it into my series x whenever I got it and I could immediately play all the games that were on it. If you don’t have an external, I’d recommend getting one if possible. There are some relatively cheap ones and it made it pretty easy. You can just move all the games that are on your console to the external drive and then plug the external into your new console and you’re good to go! Hope this helps

Okay, so I thought all our save data was stored on the Xbox cloud? Can’t I just refind it after I log into my account on the Xbox series x?
You could but data downloads are slower than direct network transfers
Not even close to every game is cloud storage yet unfortunately. It's more difficult to find xbox games that support it than those that don't

Your download / upload speed is irrelevant in this use case. You are transferring data within your local network, 2.4GHz wifi has a speed of up to 450Mbps.

For the fastest transfer, make sure they are on the same router, especially if you have a mesh system.

Depending on your network speed I guess you could always sign into your account and downloand the games again. The cloud will save your game saves. Guess it just depends on how you wanna do it.

@@andrewjohnstone1165 yes all your games are automatically saved to the cloud on xbox. Any time you sign into any xbox and download your game and once you start it will sync your save data.

You can't use the disc in the Series S

Didn’t work for me. It just said “installation stopped” for every game on my series x when I went to transfer them
Edit: I had a couple games and apps that had to update when I turned my x-one on this morning, even though I updated everything before I went to bed last night. I let those updates finish and now my games are transferring

Make sure nothing is updating on your old Xbox, I had warzone updating and paused it and then it’s started transferring, hope this helps

If it's a smart delivery title, or if it has a Series X|S enhancement, it will download a free patch.
It will do a free upgrade to the next gen

@@juiceboyosue6140 No actually, Activision are greedy, they charge $10 extra to receive a next gen upgrade for both PS5 and Series X. But you can still play the Xbox One version and maybe PS4 version through backwards compatibility.
