can you still use the clutch if you’re riding slow? because some people say that you can use your quickshifter/autoblip in a certain speed only. thanks!
I'm guessing that is a custom paint. Looks like EvoTech short levers. I picked those up for mine. Are you using the QS for downshifts as well as up shifts? Hard to see but I was thinking so. Are there rpm ranges etc required for when to shift...either up or down? Hard to tell but are the shifts somewhat less smooth at lower rpm's and mph? Seemed like it might have gone into gear with a bit of a jerk or bump when you were in that no-outlet housing development? Any problems or issues with your QS? I've been thinking about getting a QS recently. I got my 🔱in Nov. and have put 2500 miles on her even with the cold, salt, brine and gravel in PA. I have been half considering an exhaust? R U running a Yosh? Sounds great here. I'd like to find an exhaust that mostly improved the tone/sound quality without getting loud. That may not exist. Possibly the SC Project STR-1 but I can not get any info from them in Italy or the dealer in the US.
Hey Adam. Yes, paint is custom. For the QS, it’s both up & down with autoblip on downshifts. It works very well. No RPM changes any different that if you were manually shifting. The triple engine is built so well that it works well in all gears, can be doing 20mph on 5th/6th gear and the bike won’t stall and will still give you a little power/torque. I have a separate video that I didn’t upload showcasing this (I messed up the audio). As far as exhausts go, I think Yoshimura AT2 is the best exhaust for the bike. Gives that deep tone and sounds like a race exhaust. The exhaust has saved me from people merging into me because of how loud it is. I’d say Akrapovich/SC Project/Yoshi are the best exhausts for this bike.
@@302bikelife Yeah...one of the things I love about this bike (specifically the motor) is she's happy to pull in any gear without lugging/chugging/complaining. Pulls easily because of the torque. Love how she handles and tips in, how light she is and how well we physically fit together as a unit. It's been tough to really get to know her well this winter both for being a newer rider (previously 3300 miles on a Rebel 500 to start on) but mostly battling the cold this winter kept me from really enjoying the rides fully. The one thing I don't love about my Trident is the first couple gears seem short and with lots of vibration. I've been thinking that a QS will really help with launching which this bike seems eager to do. So did I understand correctly that the QS auto-blips for downshifts or was that you doing it with the throttle? I've got some pretty wicked tinnitus and some hearing loss. Pretty sure from all I've read that the Yosh and most all aftermarket exhausts except possibly the SC Project STR-1 which is E5 will be too loud for my slammed ears. E5 regs are very strict so any that meet that criteria likely safe for me hearing. That particular SC should be near the db's of the stock but it's $erious $$$ so I may skip an exhaust and just get a QS.
@@dustytriumph Iv been riding in this winter weather especially since its been weirdly warm In Feb, had to take the bike out of storage. Yes, it is an up & down QS. My exhaust is mostly loud because i have the baffle taken out. Im in Delaware if you ever are in the area and wana ride, shoot me a message im always down to get a couple triumphs on the road and go for a ride this season.

Is that color stock!?!? Agreed, quickshifter is a must, windscreen also helps stabilize the forks at speed. Im in PA as well and this thing is a beast on pocono backroads! Already learned the hard way that frame sliders and radiator guard are also a must on this bike. I had a soft drop onto grass, the flimsy radiator mounts bent, and the side cowl threads got pushed into the radiator, throttle cable also melted onto the exhaust : ( Triumph was incredibly clever & subtle in where they cheaped out with this model to hit the price point, but indeed theres a good bit of cost/quality sacrifices made.
I cannot wait to ride... been since october. Im itching. Also couldnt agree more on the quick shifter!
Def a game changer for sure as far as the riding goes. Weather has been weirdly warm so any change I get I always take the bike out.

hi, is it possible to install a Quickshifter on this bike by yourself? Just plug in the cables or something else?
I think it will need to be programmed if I’m not incorrect. Unfortunate I a to pay a dealership $150 to install it
