Yoshi was defo on point with the sound. Not to loud. Just perfect. Especially if you have to leave at 5am and most of yoyr neighbours are a sleep

You wont be thinking that if you get the Yoshy AT2 full exhaust. It's headache inducingly loud. Rode it today for a few hours, feel like I've been to a Moto GP race with the ears ringing.

Yoshi #1 for me. Same with my previous SV650, perfect balance between noise levels, looks and tone.

@@95turboteggy65 no I had a 900RS in between but was too bulky for my garage, manoeuvring in and out. Plus straight engine sound was boring and cold fast idle dangerous.

Triumph engine exhaust sounds are really nice, the exhaust notes of a bike/ car is a very important thing/ character to me personally.
Try xsr 900 they have same sound since they are the same 3 cylinder
Personally i really like the sound of YOSHIMURA exhaust pipes,they have this bassy note that i really loved.
how many hp add exhAUST modded ?
Shame the aftermarket ones look so ugly and ill fitting compared to the original .
I think the Zard sounds better than all of those 😉

Never seen a video where the rider makes a 660 look huge.. but I do appreciate the good video.
Those videos are from a shop in Vietnam and we Asian aren't big people, that's what makes the Trident look so good with us.

Is hard to tell on video, but which one is the least loud? I want to replace the stock just because is ugly. Where I’ll do my riding a loud exhaust could be problematic.

In Europe this is out, much more strict laws are there or coming in. In Luxemburg and France you need a certificate that proves that the exhaust in complained with the law if not huge fine. In Austria the take of the road and a new stock exhaust has to be fitted and a fine. In Italy the even fine of factory fitted aftermarket ones by Ducati and so. Now a new law is coming in the UK about all this. So enjoy as long as you can in your country.

Triumphs newer triples sound a bit lack luster compared to the older ones, they're probably a better engine but I just wish they revved another 3/4k higher to get that awesome triumph triple scream.
I'm a little late on the response here but the Trident 660 is mellow even compared to the street triple with the 675. A stock street triple sounds way better than the 660 and has another 25 horses.
They share the same block but that's where the similarities end, I think.
@@CheetoPhingers the valves and internals are different. Though the block is same,the trident is much watered down from the old triple

I am gonna buy a bike and looking to change the exhaust because I really don't like the stock sound. It sounds too tame. Yoshimura sounds really nice but I still believe it is just a tiny bit too loud for my preference. Or is it? Does the videos enhance the sound or can someone say that it is cop friendly?

MT 07 with Akra. Trident with these exhausts sounds cheap - I am dissapointed , I though that will be much more better.
Agreed or that toce exhaust sounds beastly on the mt07 to, the sound of this engine doesn’t suit the trident tbh , the Mt07 engine would suit the looks of this bike a lot more

Silly questions:
Which is quietest? As in, love all the sounds but need to pull away from the house "quietly" before I can rip!
Will having a pipe point directly at the swing arm going to cause the anodized paint to peel off or get rusty from excessive heat?
If the quality of the paint good the heat will normally be no problem
Most queit... to me the zard and yoshi... more a scream exhaust but i would just put a insert db killer in the.muffler from the header side... works perfect for what you want and it helps the ecu

If you want to change the silencer just for making more noise, it is your problem.
As far as cosmetics or esthetics are concerned, the Trident genuine exhaust looks nice and the sound is correct.
If you expect more power with a change of silencer only, the final gain will be very weak.
You should better change the whole exhaust system, but in that case you should also change the genuine air filter with a KN or BMC type, and also mount a system that adjusts your air/fuel flow if you want to get a neat power increase (in that cas buy a BoosterPlug or a Power Commander).
Boosterplug is only 150 euros available on ebay and ready to mount without any tuning, while Power Commander is more than 500 euros and you need a whole engine tuning on a specific station..
