Another aspect that isn't as pressing but would still fall under "Things expected of a computer" would be input with keyboard and mouse/touchpad rather than touch/on screen keyboard. There's also the issue of of "Cooling kind of needs space so tiny tech is hard/hard to use to its full potential" you also see with laptops but with modern tech that's more in the realm of "Good/powerful computer" than "Computer usable as a computer". So the main barrier is that there's no pc-type OS on it (Windows, Linux, MacOS...¹) and with Huawei's approach to unlocking bootloaders (also potentially the hardware drivers needed and such) it'd be very, very hard to put one on it. Buut give it a decade and I could see at least a niche market of foldable computers (/computerfiable phablets) and accessories like stands or input devices specialized for them (/for general portability). ¹Yes I know Apple wants its OS' only on their own hardware. Still counts as a pc os and there is always hackintosh.
People just don't understand...maybe 3-fold is not something totally new, but making it so thin and light with a battery of 1.9 mm thickness that allows quick charging is a major tech breakthrough that can be used for their other devices. Also note that its screen is folded in both inward and outward direction to allow that N shape. This is also difficult to achieve. In short, this phone is like a prototype that demonstrates that they have the industrial capacity to mass produce light, thin and flexible phones and tablets in whatever way they desire from now on.
There are reasons why Samsung won't make their triple screen a reality. One of them because it's easy to break. Another one, chipset. Z Fold is using top tier SD chipset. That means it's easily getting hot, and you have to make the best cooling chamber for it, meaning it's gonna get bulky. Unlike the new huawei triple fold, the chipset inside is 7nm which is worse than Mediatek. And also the IP rating. It's good that huawei needs something like this to show the world that they're still going strong. But putting an inferior chipset on a beast like this is kinda off for me. Not to mention the expensive price tag too..

Dunno, it’s a bit like the tortoise and the hare story. Apple was the king of creativity and innovation two decades ago, but they let that go to their head. They thought they didn’t really have to try anymore, and became too self-satisfied. Meanwhile everyone else decided to start “Thinking different”. Now the rest of the world is leaving Apple in the dust. Sadly Apple seems to be in a kind of fantasy bubble where it still thinks that it is the best and just can’t see whats happening. This is the first year that I will be switching to a flagship Android phone, probably one from (in Trump voice) “China”. This is why I stopped buying apple products since 4S. I used to buy apple phones and laptops. My power house computer was always windows systems self made. But yeah I noticed how upgrades on apple devices would slow them down at the 2 year mark. I used to do component repairs on my apple devices and noticed weird things happening on updates at the 2 year mark with the inability to roll back your update. Once you updated and it messed up your device would were screwed. At that point I had enough haven't bought an apple product since. I used to get the MacBook Pro I was pissed when they refused to offer boot camp support on laptops that were just 2 years old claiming they were not offering it because the device wouldn't be able to handle the new windows 10 at that time of course I had to integrate bios updates manually to get windows 10 to boot up but it's rediculous. Also they tried to make me upgrade my Mac os which I think was tiger back at that time which was better than the new os they were coming out with or not be able to use iTunes. So ironically I kept tiger os light have been leopard was so long ago and had to dual boot to windows to use iTunes. At this point I said screw iTunes and went with jriver. But yeah I do not like a company that likes to froce me to use a device I purchase the way they want me to to try and force me to upgrade or change os or else. That was my last Mac book pro used it to the ground. Evil company.

There are reasons why Samsung won't make their triple screen a reality. One of them because it's easy to break. Another one, chipset.
Z Fold is using top tier SD chipset. That means it's easily getting hot, and you have to make the best cooling chamber for it, meaning it's gonna get bulky. Unlike the new huawei triple fold, the chipset inside is 7nm which is worse than Mediatek. And also the IP rating.
It's good that huawei needs something like this to show the world that they're still going strong. But putting an inferior chipset on a beast like this is kinda off for me. Not to mention the expensive price tag too..

Dunno, it’s a bit like the tortoise and the hare story. Apple was the king of creativity and innovation two decades ago, but they let that go to their head. They thought they didn’t really have to try anymore, and became too self-satisfied. Meanwhile everyone else decided to start “Thinking different”. Now the rest of the world is leaving Apple in the dust. Sadly Apple seems to be in a kind of fantasy bubble where it still thinks that it is the best and just can’t see whats happening. This is the first year that I will be switching to a flagship Android phone, probably one from (in Trump voice) “China”. Simply because I’m a photographer and I want better baseline image quality out of my phone.

This is why I stopped buying apple products since 4S. I used to buy apple phones and laptops. My power house computer was always windows systems self made. But yeah I noticed how upgrades on apple devices would slow them down at the 2 year mark. I used to do component repairs on my apple devices and noticed weird things happening on updates at the 2 year mark with the inability to roll back your update. Once you updated and it messed up your device would were screwed. At that point I had enough haven't bought an apple product since. I used to get the MacBook Pro I was pissed when they refused to offer boot camp support on laptops that were just 2 years old claiming they were not offering it because the device wouldn't be able to handle the new windows 10 at that time of course I had to integrate bios updates manually to get windows 10 to boot up but it's rediculous. Also they tried to make me upgrade my Mac os which I think was tiger back at that time which was better than the new os they were coming out with or not be able to use iTunes. So ironically I kept tiger os light have been leopard was so long ago and had to dual boot to windows to use iTunes. At this point I said screw iTunes and went with jriver. But yeah I do not like a company that likes to froce me to use a device I purchase the way they want me to to try and force me to upgrade or change os or else. That was my last Mac book pro used it to the ground. Evil company.
