Hello, I’m Joe - I’m a guitar player, singer-songwriter, producer, recording engineer and teacher!
On this channel you’ll find my original songs, covers and solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements. My favorite music doesn’t fit neatly in a box so you may hear me play folk, blues, jazz, & classic rock - you can call it what you want; I feel honored to speak this timeless language of melody, harmony & rhythm.
I was born on May 25th 1991 in Kempsey, NSW, Australia. Since 2010 I have been based in the US and currently live in the Rocky Mountains of Montana with my wife, Genevieve (who teaches illustration on TH-cam!).
I play Maton acoustic guitars, made in Australia (just like me) and am very proud to have my own signature instrument, the JR Signature!

One of my all-time faves. Terrific pickin'. For some reason I play the head at the 7th fret, with open strings like a banjo roll. Now to sleuth some more and see if I'm overthinking it. I think I watched TV evangelist Dwayne Friend play it once when I was a kid, and maybe that's where I got the idea that I was playing it wrong. Anyway, I DID eventually get saved... ;)

Chet recorded it.
Jerry composed it.
Chet recorded something like 30 or so Jerry compositions.
Chet often came up with the title though.❤
He did. He recorded a bunch of Reed tunes as has already been stated. This is one of my favorites. Jerry used to say he could write em but not play em. Which was not true as he was an excellent guitarist and even better composer.
