It's nice of you to be worried about how Miku felt about getting a new singer, but it was her idea. That's how she explains it in interviews anyway. It's rare for someone to show such humility after working so hard (she literally could not have tried harder) to get their chance. t-shinji is a legendary member of the Band-Maid community. His translations have allowed English-speaking fans to connect more with the band, but he also provides extraordinary insights that we would otherwise have no idea about. For example his breakdown of "Why Miku is a great lyricist" explains how Miku's writing makes use of elision, synaeresis, and other techniques which, among other things, changes the Japanese pronunciation without changing the meaning and also makes the songs flow as if they were sung in English. It was great to have him in this documentary and no one in the community deserved it more than him.
Miku is a genius. In your own way. A copywriter and an 800-year-old pigeon... No? (there's also System of a Down anyway. huh?) There are moments when I'm listening to Band Maid, the aforementioned group pops in... :D Why??
Miku's documentary is the last and longest since it expresses how much the fans love Miku. Since they were last in line, only the facts of the members' participation can be summarized, but the timing of each member's participation is truly miraculous. I want you to watch the entire series to see how miraculous it was for these five people to come together.
So happy to see you back in the saddle! Saw you on Ryan's stream last night and now this this morning. "It's 30 minutes long!" - oh Skip, that's Part I of III! *And* there's documentaries for Kanami, Akane, MISA, and Saiki! Each one is about 30 minutes too. They were released in the order Saiki, Kanami, Akane, MISA, Miku part I, part II, and part III. Each one is standalone so the order you watch probably doesn't matter much. Each one has a section with experts discussing them in more depth. Ohrenje and Kasper have done excellent work.
It is my opinion that Miku stepped back for the good of the band. She had worked so hard to succeed. I don't think Miku has ever been pushed back that she didn't pop back up.
It's fine to do the 3 Miku ones first. The original order they were put up was Saiki, Kanami, Akane, Misa, 30 approx. minutes each and then a 90 minute of Miku which later was cut into three parts. Watch all three of Miku and then do Saiki, Kanami, Akane, Misa. Lots of good information and entertainment awaits you.
Now you are in for it man. It is now incumbent upon you to do the other parts for Miku, and then the ones for each of the other Maids from the same series. Great stuff.
People usually go in order of Saiki => Kanami => Akane => MISA => Miku pt 1, 2, 3, but I don’t think it really matters😅 There’s mistake in video where the first live event they performed as five members was on “October 22 2013”, but actually it was on “August 22 2013”. The event they performed was organized by the agency, for fans of groups the agency managed, so there were no particular headliner, but probably “Predia” (disbanded in 2022) was the last act of the event.
Miku's 3-parter is all-encomposing so it fully describes the band as a whole... however that does mean it has spoilers for the docs on the other members which is why she was the last one released (1. Saiki 2. Kanami 3. Akane 4. Misa then Miku). Still happy whatever order they're done in! :)
"The lady with the guitar" = SHEENA RINGO (or SHIINA RINGO - she uses both). Miku is actually guilty of turning me into a die-hard fan of that incredible artist (both in solo and with her band Tokyo Incidents/Tokyo Jihen). I seriously think she's one of the greatest XXI century's artists worldwide.
Happy to see you doing these! I just want to draw attention to how lucky it is that we have so many videos of them before they became a successful band. It would be very easy for these random clips to be lost. Also, Miku's real name and real speaking voice at 10:49 :)
@@GaryHolloway-810 Easy. Where was she seen last and where is the nearest cake shop! 🤪Come to think about it she is always wandering off, even when she is on stage! There was that time she was supposed to help Saiki do her 'Japanese lesson time' in the US and was found asleep backstage. I think she was poorly though.
@@Davey-Boyd Yeah you're right. Not only by the heat but she was on the verge of burnout. She really needed a much longer rest but with the tour last year & the schedule already set up until this summer she still won't get much of a chance to have a proper break :(
Thank you for reacting to my documentary ☺ I'm glad that you like it and I can't wait for you to react to the next one!
Thank you too!

Band Maid Nippon is a radio chat show that Miku and Saiki did during the pandemic. Ohrenje has some animated videos of some of the episodes.

Thanks for watching Ohrenje's documentaries. It's great to re-watch them again with you.
I like your style, Skippy, doing the last docu first. I thought it was only me that knew it was "Reverse Day" today.🤷♂️
That MV is Real Existence. Background is a temple. :)

Miku is 5', Kanami is 5'1"...but Saiki is 5'4", Akane is 5'6", and MISA is right around 5'9".

Silent Siren was the headliner.
They were huge.

"saiki's face in front of some temple" .... you mean real existence im guessing?
泣いちゃうぞ🥲

Long overdue. Glad to see you back home, Po!
Hi Skippy! The series actually starts with Saiki and Miku was last! But it doesn't really matter, they are all awesome!
Kanami's in the docu series too.🙋♂️
@@GaryHolloway-810 No? Seriously? Lol! Well, if she wasn't Ohrenje would have some serious explaining to do!
