- Greetings, fellow music enthusiasts! 🎵 Join me as I dive into the captivating world of "Rocky Top" on the banjo, using the distinctive clawhammer style. 🪕✨
In this video, I'm immersing myself in the nostalgic essence of old time American music while paying homage to The Osborne Brothers, who recently lost one of their esteemed members. 🎙️ "Rocky Top" holds an enduring place in the hearts of many, and I'm humbled to present my own interpretation.
I've added my personal touch to this classic, infusing it with renewed energy while preserving its authentic origins. 🎶🌟 Let's come together to celebrate the magic of music that transcends eras and genres.

I love the colours in the video. You look like a 300 year old painting come to life.
Awesome clawhammer banjo sound and a song😍🙏🪕🎶🪕
thanks!
👍👍👍
I love the syncopation, most clawhammerers don’t use that kind of rhythm and it’s a nice departure from the norm.
Thank you! ❤️ I’m trying my best to hold down rhythm, but am definitely still just starting out and developing my own style.
I love this version much better than the bluegrass version!
Voice of an angel and form of a Goddess ❤ Thank you for serenading me to sleep again Talise, not in my arms yet, but in my heart, soul and mind always. Good night me lassie ❣️🎅🤠🙏
Honestly, you've got serious talent and the voice to back it up. Wonderfully performed.

It's taken over from High on a Mountain as the performance I find myself humming regularly.
On a related topic...
I found myself looking for information on Rocky Top TN out of curiosity. The town took on the name in 2013, hoping to raise it's profile due to the popularity of the song. The owners of the copyright sued the town for intellectual property infringement but lost their case with the judge deciding it wasn't being used in a true commercial sense. This might be common knowledge but I thought it was a fun bit of trivia.
I didn’t know that! 💗 thank you for sharing and for all of your support ☺️
you are amazing, do you have originals? I want more artists like you and I'm grateful youtube allowed me to find you...
I am actually recording an EP right now! 💗 I am going to be releasing it later this year. If you follow my instagram @talisetunes or Facebook page, I’ll be recording updates.
@@talisetunesnice to know that. Waiting with anticipation.
Not that you need the opinion of a classical composer and historian- rhythm is key to setting your own course. Take the BeeGees' bass style, for example. They did it first, and anyone who used their style automatically become a knock-off. What you might consider next is a really good bass player, with keen insight and innovative ideas. The rhythm is what drives the boat, the bass is the rudder.
