You can use the paint sprayer to paint stuff easier, it paints stuff when you place it
Shadewood fences painted brown work A LOT better than wooden beams for builds!
Also Ore Excavator (mod) helps with painting faster
You asked about speed before, so I feel I should tell you that you are using the worst wings in the game. any other set would have have longer duration and better speed, and the celestial starboard is the best wings in the game. But if you prefer a slower pair so you can maneuver around easier, the soaring insignia can also be equipped in addition to a set of wings to give yourself unlimited flight time.
There are also boots that can increase your running speed. The Hermes boots are the most basic pair, and the Terraspark boots are their most upgraded form.
I also feel I should bring up the rod of discord/rod of harmony. It's an item that can teleport you to anywhere you click on the screen, very useful for maneuvering around tight spaces or closed off walls.

You should do more terraria videos, it'll be a lot of fun to see someone who played Minecraft originally play Terraria.
I grew up with Minecraft since Indev and tried terraria around 3 or 4 months ago and now I can't put it down. I won't lie it will be tough, but OH MY GOD is it fun.
Also make a Herobrine shrine.

For painting, there's a building accessory called the paint sprayer that allows you to apply paint on the blocks as you place them. It's also apart of the crafting tree for the hand of creation, which is the base-game best building accessory although with your mods mlost of the functions aren't useful.
These look really cool, i love to see terraria building and tis a cool idea.
Also, as far as wiring goes for using the pressure plate "The Grand Design" is incredibly useful. Also makes building with Actuators significantly nicer. Use alongside the actuation rod and it kinda puts the blocks into the background and lets you walk through them, also making them a little bit darker, which can be useful for annoying esp when painting stuff.
Very good video, and in 1:08 you could have Alchemy table instead of Cooking pot
4:40 you can use an ice rod to place a temporary block

You just gave me an amazing idea for the next time I play, also that pillager outpost is gorgeous, and a lot of these houses can be inhabited by NPCs so a functional MC village in Terraria is 100% possible

if you apply for mapedit on the penguin games server you can get access to tools that help map builders like using commands to mass place or paint blocks

I haven't played terarria in so long! It is definitely a challenging game to play! But I think your builds came out really good! It's crazy to see how close we can get in building something from one game in another while the games dimensions are different!
