Crazy good video, how does this not have way more views😂. A cool idea would be to add block building mechanics for certain parts where the player is given blocks and has to use them to overcome obstacles!

okay one thing, im also developing a platformer game (actually a fast pace metroidvania) and i had issues with platforming too here is my advice on how to make the controls more responsible 1. add a small frame window so you can still jump while going of the edges (it REALLY changes the feel of the controls) 2. add a small frame window after you press space button in the air, in that time if player hits the ground he will jump explanation of implementation of this you can find on youtube freely (i can send you the links to the tutorials) even on my channel in my second video i slightly explain this stuff

I think most people do not truly appreciate how much work this video must have been. I did a lot of game dev several years ago (and still participate in the GMTK game jam yearly) and this probably took days to make, if not more. If I can give one piece of unsolicited advice; playtest your games in every step of the development, it truly makes a world of difference!

for the ghast's bullet, you set its rotation just once when the ghast script instantiate()s it example code for ghast: ``` bullet = preload("bullet.tscn").instantiate() bullet.rotation = global_position.direction_to(player.position).angle() scene.add_child(bullet) ``` another option is to set the rotation in the _ready() function for the bullet love your energy and the art!
