You don’t know how refreshing it is to hear a truck driver complain about how fast other truck drivers are driving in a snow storm , knowing they can’t see anything. Thank you!
I bet, Josh has driven in some Canadian snowstorm in the past that would have had those two cowboys in tears, with stains in their underwear they could never get out! Experience told him to SHUT IT DOWN and be safe!
Your take on not passing on snowy roads with a left to right wind, to avoid a whiteout for the vehicles you’d pass, makes a lot sense….kudos to you Josh 👍. …..Drive Safe and Don’t Rush!
7:55 I love watching trucking videos and the people who drive the big rigs. I have a huge respect for truck drivers because they are often an overlooked part of the economy yet such an important piece that keeps America running. Stay safe out there and keep on trucking brother!
Thank you! I’ve noticed that a lot of truck drivers don’t seem to have the same respect that they used to. I appreciate your thoughtfulness towards it. You’re one of the good ones. 💪🏻👍🏻
I like your views on driving during the weather and even if it’s bad some people don’t have the common sense to think about other people that are out on the road some people are in a absolute rush to go absolutely nowhere I am from upstate New York and when it’s snowing bad it’s time to pull of the road thank you to each and every truck driver out there you guys are the back bone of our country
Lots of white out driving in upstate NY. Gates closed on 81, "luge run" driving with headlights out and marker lights illuminating so I could see berms . When I did pull lover to sleep, get WAY out of the way from plow trucks, half the time you can't see Anything, especially those plow guys seeing you.
Duluth is one of my favorite places to visit along the North Shore. Like you, I hate driving in snow and windy conditions. Glad you pulled over so you weren't driving in a big winter mess. Getting home safely to Brit, Theo and the fur babies should always be your main concern. Hope you're getting over your cold. Take care and drive safely.
Great video Josh - wise words on needlessly aggressive operators of vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Always great content and fun to drive along with you. Cheers and thanks
Like I was saying yesterday the steering wheel holders go flying down the road right into a big pile up. You are smart enough to park it. It's that time of year Trucker Jooooooosh don't let your fuel tanks get below half. Stay safe & warm
Remembering all of those long nights behind the wheel. Payed off the truck, the house... just relaxing with a day cab 07:30-5:00 now. And for some reason playing a trucking simulator.
I drive a truck and got stuck in Albert Lea MN at the Petro during the Winter Storm. Finally back home in Charleston SC today 1/25/24 after doing some more runs and it's in the 70s here. Very nice. Definitely not fond of driving in those conditions.
The guys passing you in a blizzard like that are called amateur truckers... better take your time to get to your destination safe. I just came from a snow storm in France back to The Netherlands, that was no fun, but got through it staying safe.
I took on truck driving as a semi retired job and I am glad I subscribed to your channel because your tips is just gold to me. I live in the province of Quebec where road conditions in winter can be as bad as in the prairies. You sharing both your knowledge and experience sets you apart from all other similar channel. Keep on trucking and safe driving. Serge
You've done 2 things in the beginning of this video that I absolutely love. 1. Showed the route you're likely to take and 2. Answered that question about the fuel between the 2 tanks! I always wondered that! Subscribed!
I just watched your video for first time. Usually watch the van or camper life vids but glad yours popped up..really enjoyed this Josh. I have alot of respect for truckers and how important your profession is. Also nice to see how you really care for others on the road and just yourself. Keep on Truckin and May God richly bless you in life and your travels 🙏 ✝️❤️
in 83 my stepdad and i were traveling thru ct.up in the northeast in very similar conditions.he was driving a c/o from a company in vermont.a truck like ours passed us and the first thing he said was that driver was going 2 fast and would b off the road very soon.just a few miles up the highway that same truck crashed into a overpass and the cab was hanging over the highway below.we didnt stop as the weather was 2 bad but radioed 4 help.not sure of the outcome.stay safe josh..
On ya Josh for being a thinking driver I will probably never drive in the snow down here in Australia but I have been in a white out on a ski trip once not great at all stay safe and warm
Recent heavy snow in Wisco. Had to make a 40 mile round pharmacy trip. I'm in a 4x4 Tundra so not too worried. All alone southbound on xway. Northbound closed. Why? Hotshot trucker knifed in the middle ditch. Few miles later hotshot trucker 2, also northbound, in the side ditch, knifed. Lots of four wheelers who shouldn't have been out were sucked off the roads by the ruts. BTW for low visibility try yellow tinted glasses. Honest 35% better vision in rain, snow or fog...not stylish but I will not leave home without them. State cop turned me onto the glasses.
Josh, I work for Pesnke roadside assistance for their truck fleet, this past weeks cold spell/blizzard has been crazy. Had a lot of truck stuck in snow/ice, no start, and gelled diesel where they aren't used to this weather as far south as texas and arkansas, BTW love your vlogs been watching for years even before i got invovled with the trucking industry this year.
Stay safe out there! I just put in my 2 weeks notice to the current company I work for because: A. Boss was trying to force me to to drive in unsafe conditions after I said I would not until it’s safe to do so again. Also he called me a liar too. Plus the pay is lousy. B. I got a flatbed job! I’m going to be training for a month with a buddy of mine to make sure I learn what needs to be learned and so I do the job right! Looking forward to this new adventure!
Thank you Josh you helped me a lot with your tips I have learned a lot from you I'm a Brazilian truck driver but I'm improving my English to be a truck driver in Canada 🍁 new Brunswick! I am watching all of your videos thank you so much and take care!!!!!
Thanks for the good video Josh from another long-haul truckers from Canada. Keep it real stay safe. It’s nice to hear somebody that cares about other drivers on the road
hi Josh, thank you for the great content! your a professional, responsible, caring driver..the world needs more of guys like you. unfortunately the drivers with no commin sense, may or might not be foreign ..to blizzards, in some cases,so they don't know any better with winter driving skills..(not aware how storms create havock)just my opinion..be safe out there Trucker!!
First time watching, I enjoyed it. Safety in this business sometimes slows drivers down, dispatchers don't always allow for weather and the customer is guilty of this too. Not a excuse, just a reality, with that said you will drive a long time, take that from someone who just parked his truck after 49 years and 5 million or so miles . best wishes for a safe and happy life .
Just discovered you, and I am grateful. My mom was from International Falls; born in Fort Frances during a storm. I love watching you cope with the weather!
I remember one night my dad and I were coming back from Jefferson Wisconsin to then we got to the Indiana Michigan line with Indiana and you couldn’t see 5 feet in front of the truck
I get nervous watching you driving in all that snow. Power to you Josh. Recently saw Vlog of brakes freezing up after stopping overnight. Hope you will be alright with blowing nasty stuff.
Good stuff buddy. Good stuff. I’ve hauled nothing but logs in my trucking career and i totally agree with you about passing people on the highway. Stay safe good sir and thank you for being a professional truck driver. We need more drivers like you that take the other motorists into consideration and well being. Happy travels good sir.
Hey Josh, that’s how you can tell the difference between a steering wheel holder and a professional truck driver, especially a professional truck driver with more than a decade of experience. We know when to stop they do not. Hence why they are the ones do you see jackknifed laid over on their side flip completely over or in the trees?
Thank you for being a careing truck driver, all I have is a little Toyota Sienna van and when I am out on the road I try to give the big rigs as much space as they need some fly by me at 60 /70 MPH. And that's when the road is covered in ice and snow, then I see them down the road stuck in a ditch time to call the IL State Police
I wish more drivers would have your stance on snow. I’m not a trucker and I try to avoid driving in it as much as possible. However when I do have to drive in it I like to be safe for myself as well as others. Be safe.
I just discovered you and I look forward to following your exploits. I wanted to be a trucker but Mama Hated Diesels, So Bad... ha ha ha. Much respect sir.
I had to drive from Rapid City to Sioux Falls today during a snowstorm (wife talked me into a bad situation). It was about 4 hours of almost whiteout condition. Had to stop 3 times to get slush off my window. Passed maybe 6 rigs and about 10 vehicles slid off! Almost slid off myself but got lucky. I know what you mean about the truckers passing, I had that happen a few times. Anyway I loved your video - just wanted to see a trucker’s perspective after being on the road today. And rerouting travel plans or waiting it out is definitely safer, if possible.
You could dress as one of those orange and white constrction barrels they use to mark construction zone. My hubby and I call them Schneider eggs as they are the same color of Schneider transport trucks. Bright orange. Be careful in that snow. Keep the rubber on the road and that stick under control. Rest well and enjoy your bit of time at home during your reset. I am so happy you got safely to the spot you stopped at for the night. That looked scary.
I'm old and remember driving in northern Michigan through blinding blizzards. We would be ecstatic because we saw a yellow line on the road or a mailbox preferably on the right side of the road and we knew we were still on the road! Now this was done with rear wheel vehicles, no front wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. It could take 12 hours for a six hour trip. Best thing to do is get off the road if you can.
My favorite thing about snow was parking the truck at the end of the day and getting comfy with a cup of tea and watch the snow fall through the truck stop lights. 😁
Im a semi truck driver too and im from Minnesota and i had got a load to Brisbane California and ran into a snow storm in donners pass that got 12 feet of snow on a mountain.
Looking at your video, sometimes I wish there was Blizzards in Singapore.. Feels like being in a Sauna 24/7 the whole day with the humidity and heat till the Monsoon kicks in. 😅
I know how you feel when you were getting fuel the second time when that polar cold air was coming in I couldn’t feel my legs or my face or my hands when it made its way last Monday in north east texas and I had to work out in it
And when I drove a day cab back in the old days I slept on a Board between the 2 seats for many years, and log books, ha, ha, most times drove 20 hrs a
Nice to see a Canadian trucker sick of watching jbg trucking a.d just trucking great view on the mad truckers that pass like that in snowy conditions happens all the time here on the 401 eastbound nasty off of Shires of lake ontario

the difference in drivers is those that are paid by the hour versus those are paid by the mile
in eu its normal we have lot of extra lights so u can drive 90kmh in winter storm
Take your time and be safe out there
Your take on not passing on snowy roads with a left to right wind, to avoid a whiteout for the vehicles you’d pass, makes a lot sense….kudos to you Josh 👍. …..Drive Safe and Don’t Rush!

You made the right decision for you and your family - safety first; some drivers take unnecessary risks.
That blizzard was no joke. Hit us hard down in Iowa too.
Glad you played it safe, Josh.
Thank you! I’ve noticed that a lot of truck drivers don’t seem to have the same respect that they used to. I appreciate your thoughtfulness towards it. You’re one of the good ones. 💪🏻👍🏻
Alawys play it safe. Blowing snow is no joke.

Welcome to winners looks like a nice blizzard. One thing with steel is at least it’s heavy.
that blowing snow is no joke, got caught in a storm like that in Montana once on I-90.
I drive a truck and got stuck in Albert Lea MN at the Petro during the Winter Storm. Finally back home in Charleston SC today 1/25/24 after doing some more runs and it's in the 70s here. Very nice. Definitely not fond of driving in those conditions.
One thing I like about the blowing snow and the cold, it seems to keep the 🦟mosquitoes🦟 at bay. And any day with no mosquitoes is a good day.😀
IKR!!!!
You Sir Love your Family and you respect other people who love theirs Thank You for not taking a Risk
God bless the American Trucker!
Prayers of safety. Stay warm. God bless you and your family. Thank you for your service.

Usually you say see you down the road them you say see you OFF the road! No load is worth your life, and I lived by it!
We call those “super truckers” here 😂
Extremely unsafe drivers
Most of those guys are middle eastern or African and don’t know any better not making excuses just saying
Company drivers who have night trunks to make. Could also be paid by the jobs.
I took on truck driving as a semi retired job and I am glad I subscribed to your channel because your tips is just gold to me. Great Video
Great Music
Thank You for being A Professional.
Be Safe/Godspeed!
Minnesota uses a lot of that BIO crap - gells twice as fast as #2 non-bio diesel
You got that right! I always try to stay away from the bio blend. "Eagle Claw" on the flip.
On ya Josh for being a thinking driver I will probably never drive in the snow down here in Australia but I have been in a white out on a ski trip once not great at all stay safe and warm
I'm jealous I drove 35 years.Loved to sleep in the truck in a blizzard.That is in a safe place.Or a rain storm.
Blizzard alright ❤️🌹❤️ 5 days of snow in a row . Finally saw a day of sunshine . Back to snow again 🌹❤️🌹

It comes on quick sometimes
Hi 👋 Josh @18:00 You did well Driving by ❄️❄️❄️ Braille 😬🌨 Slow Wins the Race 🏁 & Home 🏡 Safe & Sound ..
I get nervous watching you driving in all that snow. Power to you Josh.
Recently saw Vlog of brakes freezing up after stopping overnight. Hope you will be alright with blowing nasty stuff.
Smart move to pull over for the night. It is crazy to be out in that kind of weather after dark if one does not really have to be out there.
Be safe for sure Josh !! Roll on keep posting sir💪
Just found your channel and immediately subscribed. I love your philosophy about driving in snow. Thank you!!
Outstanding Canadian winter info, bro about the rocking and your humor about no flying alligators was tops! 👍🏽

OK Mr. Yellow human cone, so happy you made the choice to park during the heavy blinding snow. ❄️❄️❄️🚛🌬🌬🌬
Lucky for u that gas station had a skid steer so u wont get snowed in. i saw it when u pulled in
Giving a voice to the other Canadians who don’t like snow. I’ve met many of your brethren on the Gulf side of Florida. You’re not alone!
It’s a ground blizzard. Nothing coming from the sky. It’s all blowing off the fields
Be safe have a nice trip
I'm glad you're safe
I'm here in Iowa, we got some more snow yesterday too. Not fun! I do not like all this snow. Drive safe out there. My husband is a truck driver too.
I wish you would have kept showing the snow Strom and what you do to keep warm and safe in your truck
I wish more drivers would have your stance on snow. I’m not a trucker and I try to avoid driving in it as much as possible. However when I do have to drive in it I like to be safe for myself as well as others. Be safe.
Think Oregon is just sending you some winter love 😂
We'll take all that Hawaii can send this way.
😂 We've all been there , great decision to stop for the night

Going throught that town with the globe lights all lit up in the snow was very cool. Little things on the road 🙂

As you were driving and I was watching through the windshield, I caught myself looking over to see out the side mirrors several times. Old habits!
Looking at your video, sometimes I wish there was Blizzards in Singapore.. Feels like being in a Sauna 24/7 the whole day with the humidity and heat till the Monsoon kicks in. 😅
Don't trust what you see for the weather
Awesome video 😊 thanks a lot
I know how you feel when you were getting fuel the second time when that polar cold air was coming in I couldn’t feel my legs or my face or my hands when it made its way last Monday in north east texas and I had to work out in it
When I was driving I always loved watching the lot lizards try to walk in there high heels and snow.
Congrats on your baby mate.I live with palms trees, HATE HATE the cold. Oh we have lots of nasties, live in Australia .😅😅😅😅😅
🔥🔥KEEP PUSHING 🔥🔥
oh my welcome to winter trucker josh.. you found your self a blizzard i see
Your a good dude man. Safe travels
OMG! Stay safe! Smart choice to "camp out". No load is worth risking your life. When you can't see... You can't see.
Wow trucker Josh is the best common sense AND RESPECTFUL TRUCKERS YET!!!
You have a hard job mate!
Its not nice with the wind blowing the snow around, or the wind chill factor when its already freezing outside
I never really ran up North sometime i did in the summer, but besafe on the road 🛣️☕
And when I drove a day cab back in the old days I slept on a Board between the 2 seats for many years, and log books, ha, ha, most times drove 20 hrs a
No such thing as snow storms here in Western Australia, bad drivers yes but no snow.
That gave me a chuckle! Your passenger side fuel gauge is pointing south lol.
You come across as a really nice person, the hoi polloi do not appreciate what truckers do for the world
Nice to see a Canadian trucker sick of watching jbg trucking a.d just trucking great view on the mad truckers that pass like that in snowy conditions happens all the time here on the 401 eastbound nasty off of Shires of lake ontario
