Michael, I am all about this method and have used it very successfully as well. It's all about building the skills, portfolio, and content that showcases my skills. Keep going my friend you are doing it right.
This series has motivated me to do the same, I’m new to the freelance videography game so making a few free projects benefits me for experience. Thank you so much for this series and let’s get it!💯🗣️
Let's go dude! Congrats on starting up your business. I definitely recommend filling your schedule with demo shoots until the paid work overtakes the free work. Such a cheat code to building your portfolio and making connections!
I'm sorta just starting out my video business as well, from australia. I shoot a fair bit of car content and bit of variety as well. Watching this helped a lot, in terms of what to do when your just starting out and whether or not to make free demo reels or not, plus having to build a portfolio too. I have a meeting with a car detailing business in 2 days about helping with content creation for the business so I'm aiming to use some knowledge in this video to help with the process
Nice video, update from me attempting med spas, it’s the gatekeepers on the phone that don’t make it as easy to get to a decision maker I’ve found when I called a couple of them. I would benefit from seeing your full cold calls too.
I'd say start with what you know. Before starting my video business, I managed a cocktail bar. So when I got my business going, that's where I started. My first two clients were cocktail bars because I was super familiar with how they operate and what their goals are.

Question. Would it be boring if I were to show entire cold calls in these videos?
@@MichaelMoscoso show them. I’m sure others would love the value.
It would be great to see how a call is managed from beginning to end!
@@MichaelMoscoso id defo watch it great for people in similar position
I would like to see the full calls. I think there could be a lot to learn. Thanks for doing these videos!
It’d be awesome at least like the open and close how you kinda pitch yourself and explain what you do.
Good vid man about to do this myself cool to see a more realistic video 🔥
@@jordanbeckfilms best of luck dude!

Is this your only source of income at the moment?

Yeah this is my full time. I'm not quite in the black yet, but I will be soon. Had a bit of savings which gave me the ability to start this business.

Which niche do you believe is best to start off?
All of them

How would you know if they are already spending money on marketing and that they can afford you?
